ach new planting season brings a renewed sense of hope, urgency and focus. It is a time to plan, a time to budget and a time to try new things. Farmers in Zambia, and around the world, are navigating a planting season through COVID-19. They are adding extra care measures to help ensure the safety and wellness of our farm workers, market customers, neighbours and friends. We are also witness to the dangers and impacts of the climate change crisis unfolding around the globe. From wildfires that have engulfed the western part of the United States to the tragic death of hundreds of elephants on the African continent that scientists have linked to toxic bacteria in water, resulting from warmer temperatures.
