Landscape

Ecology ďƒź It is a science interdisciplinary what is fundamental while instrument of support to the management integrated land.

Landscapes The landscape is image that results from the set of all elements present in a given location. It is formed by volumes but also by colors, movement, odors, sounds etc. It’s a material result of all processes, natural and humanized of certain locations.


The world has great landscape because of the agriculture. The Europe has cultural heritage by the interaction of the human and the ecosystems. Generally they exists a concern by the disappearing of the traditional agricultural land and the diapering habit consequence.

Currently people try reestablishing ecologic process of the ecosystem trying to reduce the human control in the landscape. The natural succession of the abandon agricultural land and pasture conduce to forestation.


The process of traditional landscape have relation with the people and the environment, they try to give knowledge for the planning sustainable for landscape in the future.

The new landscape was integrated and grows quickly in socioeconomic local our regional reasons. We don’t know e lot of aesthetic aspects but symbolic values are important because we can’t look at it trying to preserve the old marks.


Immerge in Europe and world, the importance of agricultural land, conducing to the politic impulse to created extensive agriculture.

ďƒź The emotional and aesthetic values of society, give

Santarem landscape Santarem applied to the worldwide heritage list cultural landscape. The area proposal was the bed filled of Tejo River and the plateau that was where the city was implanted. In city there is only geology that preserved cable of 100m on the Tejo, this contrasted with a plan the valley where can be observed and appreciated their natural cycles.


There are 3 landscapes characteristics distinct that define the cultural landscape of the city: the limestone’s

plateau,

which

was

where

the

population concentrated; the agricultural land that stretches from north, east and south; and the bed filled of the river, this flowing from the interior country to Lisbon.

The city was enriched by periodic floods; the landscape riverside surrounding of Santarem represents the agricultural land more rich in Portugal.


Also human intervention has also improving the wealth and the vitally of the river corridor by building structures that allow control and protect the areas of fertile land, when there are deposited the Tejo´s sediments: as Lezirias. These human interventions include docks, the drainage channels and the planting willows which function like reducing energy along the banks of the river.
