ABSTRACT

Architectural design process is often made of attempts and options, that many of the times don’t see a concrete realizations. Working on competitions or big firms often means being part of a big process in which you’re not directly responsible on the final result, and you sometimes don’t even see it, or anyway work with it. You’re often on charge on a specific phase of the project, the project itself is very often not going to be realized in a short time even. Eventually the final result, the achievement for what one has been working for, many of the times doesn’t even take shape. The last year I’ve been working for big architectural firms in Rotterdam and experienced this chain work logic The research of beauty is an intrinsic aspect of Architecture and I’ve obviously found myself looking for it in my ordinary working schedule - from my bedroom - and I could sometimes find it in the viewport of my laptop. The aesthetic of the digital unfinished takes form from the fragmentation of the graphic and visual contemporary production.
