2.DESIGN

Our concept is inspired from the specific locations of the site. From the research above, the site is located between the gap of two urban zones areas--- Residential and Commerical. The transition site conditions generate a invisible forces and bring this two environment together which inspired us about our project target people--those people who are in transition. They are just in the start point of the career and life. The design of our project will provide a spacial experience to make their transition fluent and confortable.

CONCEPT 13

PROCESS 14

FACADE

There are approximately 6000 cars pass though the bridge everyday. Installing a facade will give a potential for brocasting this nec concept projects.

TRANSITION

The space between residential and office serves as transition space and conncets the two intimate spaces (busy bridge and calm nature) .

STRATEGY 15

COURTYARD

The courtyard is the center of the project which serves as climate control system and a visual connection between the apartments and the office buildings.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN

The landscape follows the human flow from downtown. It directs people to walk into the site.

FUNCTION AND EGRESS

PARKING STRAGETY

SUN ORIENTATION

NATURE ORIENTATION

Two vertical core serves as the main egress for the project. A additional long attached stairs was added to keep the engress at a safe level.

The sun path and the bridge directions determine the apartment’s orientation, facing southeast. The massing divides space into two parts, one is energetic and the other is calm.

We take adventages of the existing roads near the bridge pand design the parking lots connects with the existing parking.

The southeast of the site was occupied by natural plants ,mostly of them are local trees which shows a calm environement.
