Letter from you LtG Hi All, It’s been a month since the New Year and so far I have been on track with my goals. In this issue I will highlight to DCM’s, Seattle Rally, ICON, and Eliminate week. So far I have done three club visits and planning to meet with the next two in a couple weeks. You all have been so patient with me as I visit your clubs and the reports. As we are getting closer and closer to the end of the school year and the temperature is rising, I want to wish you all the best for the AP/IB exams. As your LtG I want you to rely on me to help you during times like this. The weather is nice and school is more vigorous, if you need more time for secretary reports or anything at all let me know and I will do everything in my power to help you. On a lighter note it is May and I am really excited to attend more club meetings. And Kiss Me Kate opens in May, it will run until the beginning of June. Thank you all again for the smooth transition.

JUNE DCM: BONFIRE When: TBD Where: Golden Gardens Why: One of my goals for my term is to boost activity in the divisional level. What better than to bond with your peers over s’mores? This is also an invitation to anyone who is interested in joining Key club next year, so if you have friends who would like to join but they’re unsure what key club is all about bring them to the bonfire!

Project Eliminate has been our district project for two years now. Key Club had been working hard in getting rid of Maternal Neonatal Tetanus (MNT) once and for all. Before Project Eliminate 60,000 babies have died each year, because of lack of vaccines and medical care. Solutions that needed to be taken care of in order to Eliminate MNT Is immunizations. If a mother who is already vaccinated the child will not have MNT. It is also very important to have a sanitary place to have the child, so the child is not contracted during the process. And proper cord care is vital. With the help of Project Eliminate places like Senegal, Liberia, China, Ghana and more. In total Key Club International raised $51,549,246.18 dollars. Imagine this, $1.80 provides three vaccines take $51,549,246.18 divide that by $1.80 and multiply that by three. That is how many vaccines we have collectively given out. Ways you can help as a club is hold a penny drive, or simply just tell someone about the issue. The more people that know about MNT, more people can help! With progress like this 2015 will be the end of MNT! The Panda Herald | VOLUME 1 ISSUE 2
