I've lived without a cell phone for almost two years, just like Ed Sheeran, you know? Increasingly, it is implied to live with the digital world. We live filters, illusions and characters, at the same time that we can take our dreams further and more people. In this edition, we essentially seek to share with you how technology can work in your favor, but also how it can harm your quality of life when not used with due awareness. We talk above all about balance, sharing the influence of the digital age on oneself and those around her, as well as suggestions and tips for a better use of modern media. In this edition we bring even a little bit of music through the Portuguese duo Anjos who completes 20 years of his career and who considers the digital component a fascinating work tool. With affection, I want this digital magazine to bring you a breath of enthusiasm and inspiration to live a more conscious and happy life, through a beautiful relationship with the digital world. The Filters of Life The days are much longer when we live without a cell phone. I would add even happier and more grateful. There is no room for FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), the term that is already part of the Oxford Dictionary and which translates to "anxiety that an exciting or interesting event may be happening elsewhere, often awakened by posts seen on social media. " There is also no room for frustration. After all, seeing a friend in Disney Land or vacationing in Miami can make us feel bad. And, as Shauna Niequist put it, "my
life looks better on the internet than in real life. Everyone's life looks better on the internet than in real life. " Really, there is no room to leave a pending moment while we are running open an app to post the food that is cooling down or the concert we should be watching. I love how the internet and social networks help us inspire people but ... what am I actually doing? Posting because I'm too lonely and looking for attention? Posting because I try to show off things to make up for the sadness I feel?

1. Hourglasses, what are they good for? “You can’t escape time”, is what Lewis Caroll said in “Alice through the Looking Glass”. However, we can still organize it and manage it more efficiently with every new week. Why not make a note of the time we spend on mundane tasks and evaluate our attitudes towards them? Are we wasting energy or really being productive? Do we procrastinate or make things happen? The answer to all these questions? I don’t know if you find them in philosophy or fantasy books – and ah, how I love to lose myself in those. However, we can always opt not to fester on trivial distractions and instead occupy our brain with our immediate needs. Disconnecting from your work email during the weekend could be a place to start. Saturday and Sunday are your time, for family, for your four-legged friends and your other friends, too. “You look at yourself in the mirror as if waiting for someone, but time doesn’t wait for you.” Pay attention to the lyrics of the song “Se As Ondas Voam Com o Vento” (If the Waves Fly with the Wind), from the band Quadrilha; afterwards I’m telling you you’re going to want to wave “Do not Disturb” signs and say “NO” much more. Let this be your battle cry!
2. Savor meals in quietude “Shut up and eat”? Here, this popular Portuguese expression has anything but a pejorative meaning – quite the opposite! A serene and lazy gastronomic experience allows us to relax and enjoy in its complete entirety the mouthwatering dish in front of us. When we focus on the taste, texture and intensity of ingredients of our daily menu, we enhance the pleasure that we gain from this moment of pause; because, in reality our temporary hiatus is merely just us and food. Lisa Dickman, responsible for the café Foodprintz: food, yoga & education, in Rato (in Lisbon), explains that we can meditate at the table, by the simple act of closing our eyes for a few seconds and concentrating all our attention on tasting: the palate.
3. Good night and see you tomorrow, Vitinho. “When the moon wakes up, you go to sleep”. This rule is for taking literally, ok? Lower the light of your cellphone screen after 9pm, stop messaging, emailing, posting photos, hashtags, likes and emojis and, please, turn off your cellphone before going to bed. Don’t use it as an alarm, because you’ll wake up anxious, feeling around frantically on your pillow, the duvet and the nightstand until you find the mute button or stop the catastrophic vibrations. Do you prefer opening your eyes to be met with a gadget’s LED screen, or to fall in love with the natural light of the sun, creeping gently in through the window? Learn to live offline – even if it’s just until tomorrow’s breakfast.
4. Travel back in time and become a kid again Doodle and draw in abundance on recycled paper, color mandalas, create unique pieces with macramé. Observe your arm movements, hand movements, and movements of your brain muscles while art is flowing through your body and spreading out into the world. Is there a better digital detox?
5. Clear your energy without limits Being in deep connection with nature calms us. We create roots in Mother Nature and we grow, ancient tress with robust trunks and majestic treetops, up to the sky. Try to swap the weight of a computer for a backpack, on your back. Breathe the coolness of the air. Do you feel it in your nostrils? Allow yourself to be enveloped by the flora and fauna, listen to the sounds and find an escape from the deafening bustle of the city. This mental calm is prolonged by activities in the fresh air or simply by experiencing joy with the essence of life.
"We should allow ourselves to get out of our daily routines and our mental cycle. This gives us space to think beyond and, perhaps, be a little braver. Everything revolves around these short periods of time where you can breathe a little, heal, recharge and relax. These moments don’t need to be filled with anything special. You just need to allow yourself to simply be, and not do. At the end of the day, we are all human beings and not human doings". Hi Fรกtima, how are you? Here at home minimalism is here to stay. Every time I am more selective, even as to the food. Minimalism helped me to understand myself, to discover myself and to know me better. I've never been a hostess, I like to go out, I do not like a lot of people at home. I love it when I'm home alone, I discovered this is not a defect, I'm just like this. I was even minimalistic about how to select friends, there are a lot of people that do not add anything in our lives, right ?! I do not have a cell phone. My husband and I have chosen to have only one that meets the need of both, even because the cell phone takes a lot of time from us. I also find it difficult for Whatsapp groups, because most only bring unnecessary things. I only have a facebook. I do not have an Instagram, nor Twitter. I have Pinterest because I like decorations. Remember I told you I had a bunch of kitchen utensils? Wow, today I dread a lot of junk, things I do not use! Today I have a bucket just for clothes, one to clean the house and the other to put only products from my pool. That's what works for me. Blanket and bedspread I donated half of what I had. I learned a lot from you, with your page. I'm very grateful for that.

How I live
without a cell phone
A little over a week ago I had my phone number canceled. I thought I would still use the features of the smart phone, but that did not happen. I share with you how the process was so natural to me. I've always been very upset. I like technology and everything that makes life more practical. The iphone was a blessed gift to me! This phone made me very happy, I used it for almost everything! But my lifestyle has changed. Before I was able to have all the contacts of school colleagues, work, institutions and everything, but now I have very well defined what I want for myself. My review of the past months Since last year I hardly use the mobile phone. I realized that it did not come out of the drawer. When I remembered it, because someone reported coming into contact, it had been more than a week and his battery had already discharged. In the month of February I must have put it to charge a couple of times ... at most, contacts have always been made by facebook, skype, email or telephone of the husband, depending on the situation. I used to use many excellent iPhone applications often, but it bothered me that I was losing so much while I had my head on that screen. For countless times, I experienced situations in others that bothered me and made me wish I was not this main character: that person who during a conversation or meal is insistently controlling the notifications of the mobile phone, whether or not there is some notification; the owner of that telephone that plays in the middle of a concert, an important meeting or a sacred place, even though it sometimes happens through sheer distraction or oblivion ... the truth is that this kind of thing happens every day and the time it takes the cell phone sucks is much bigger than it looks!

No cell phone officially Between not using the phone and having the number canceled will be a considerable step. Just as we do not consider throwing something away because "we might need it in the future," keeping the number seemed a necessary security in this generation. After all, every time we use a service, we are asked for the phone number as something more important than the tax ID number (corresponding to the CPF for Brazilians). I already happened to need the mobile phone number to validate an online registration! As well as laugh at me when I say I do not use cell phone ... My reflection was clear, and for the sake of not, I decided to try not to have the number, even for a few months. It was a thought-out decision, personal and without financial forum. There was no routine change, since I had not used the phone for several months, and any more important contact knew that it would be easier to "catch up" with my husband's number. Post-moment analysis Honestly, I did not think about it after I canceled the number. The phone has always been off since it ran out of battery power, which I did not realize! And the hypothesis, even without number, to use it to take pictures or to use applications through wireless internet at home, is dead. Sei como muita gente afirma que “não vive sem o telemóvel”. Eu considerei isso um dia também, mas a minha vida mudou. All these years directed to a simpler life have changed my needs and the awareness of what I can not live without! Everything has an alternative, in my case. Or rather, the alternative came to be the phone itself, which I remember only when someone refers! I still talk to everyone I spoke to earlier. I still update the news by facebook (at the right time by the computer). I live more every moment I leave home. The simple exit to the supermarket or to a garden gains much more meaning, since we are more aware of the present in that place. Their tasks are no longer interrupted by unimportant phone calls. And you remain contactable by other means, even when you are physically distant from loved ones.
A brief illustration that I see many times: today when visiting a friend you keep sending the message to another. The next day you're with the other friend sending a message to the first one. Where did you really enjoy it? While you spend two hours exchanging messages with someone, you could be actually laughing and taking deep advantage of your time with those around you...
If you want to give more meaning to your life, get off the phone. It does not have to cancel like I did, but you can simply start by spending less time on it ... or be more aware about its use. How many times have you stopped paying attention to someone or a moment due to something without meaning on the phone? Live each moment mindfully!

Minimalism and Technology I must confess that I love technology. I get excited at the idea of having all my eBooks and favorite songs just a click away in place of shelves crammed full of books and CD cases. It’s wonderful to read quotes and passages that inspire me constantly or equally hear my favorite songs without having to find the whole book or put the whole CD in to play. I keep my documents, stories, projects, recipes and even photos in a digital system that allows me to travel weightlessly to whatever country, bringing with me everything I love most and what I dream about. Technology has come to greatly benefit minimalism by turning these things into objects which are somewhat invisible. We don’t need to dust them, haul them around or repair them. CDs get damaged over time and cassette tapes (remember those?) are not used anymore. The telephone book, which was something spectacularly essential a few years ago, is not used at all now as we move to storing everything digitally. It’s much more practical, it allows for more information and the collection of thousands of contacts. Remarkable, no? However, when I talk about invisibility, I must also refer to digital junk. 26

The “objects” remain there if we’re not careful, and quickly our work environment becomes messy. Our files get scattered and documents “disappear”. In the same way which you had to maintain your books, you’re going to have to keep your eBooks in a folder. I keep them on Google Drive because I can access it from any device without losing any information, but you could use Dropbox, or iCloud for example. The idea of keeping “thousands” of contacts seems sensational, but if they’re not kept in an organized list, you can spend a long time trying to find one simple contact. Why keep thousands? Keep only the contacts you really need and give them a name that’s easy to find. Why do you have all your work from college if you don’t use it anymore? And photos you never look at? And projects that aren’t relevant for you at this current time? If today, your computer “bit the dust” what exactly would you lose? Would you be able to live without it? Technology can help to simplify our lives, but still it’s imperative to use it consciously so that the gain is a considerably positive one. Make the most of and enjoy the perks that the digital world offers us.
Obsolescence * Have you ever bought a new cellphone before just because it’s a newer version, even if your own one isn’t broken? Recently our studio computer broke down. We took it to various different Apple stores and all of them told us that they couldn’t fix it because they no longer made the parts we needed. I couldn’t make do with this. This was a very powerful computer and it had always worked really well! I called Apple again and I stressed, “we have a computer from the year 2000 that has stopped working and no store can manage to fix it… as loyal customers of yours, do you not have a solution for us?" Needless to say, the agent laughed when I mentioned the computer’s age and tried to console me, reminding me that it was time to buy a new, more modern and recent computer.

I know that almost 20 years is quite a long life for a computer, but it had had new parts here and there over the years. It would have continued flawlessly if it wasn’t for the substitution with the part that burned up! At the end of the day, if I asses my product and buy something that’s good quality, that should count as grounds to enjoy it for a long time. The current market loves endless games with the consumer. They have strong need for us to consume more. Marketing has begun to attack forcefully, trying to convince us to have more and better and that shopping will make us happier. But, it’s important to ask ourselves: "Do I need it? Do I have something similar which does the same
thing? Is this essential for me?" Don’t get anything on impulse. Always question yourself, opt for quality products and use them completely. Consider possible alternatives that can fix your problem. Just for clarification, instead of getting a new computer, we had the possibility of using the same hard drive of the old computer in a dock station, which can be linked to any other computer. This allows us to use all of the information we had on the old computer. If you decide to buy something new, think about what’s going to happen to your old product. The Apple agent informed me that they have a recycling system for electronics. This is a solution when there is no option of repair!
In the name of the heading, I will share with you some types of obsolescence: Scheduled or planned obsolescence When there is a deliberate action by the manufacturer to force the customer to get a new model or product. We see that many products are manufactured with the intention that they have a limited life span, and quickly become obsolete. For example, the agent who I spoke with on the phone confirmed that Apple products have a useful life-span of 7 years. This type of obsolescence is not just harmful to the environment due to the increase of consumption or natural resources but also in its contribution towards the growth of waste.
Perceptive or psychological obsolescence When the consumer is driven to buy a new version of a product which is apparently more attractive, even when their old version still works.
Functional or technical obsolescence When the new version of a product is more practical and substitutes the old one which has lost its use or is no longer being made. It also applies when it’s cheaper to get a new product than repair the old one. For example, if Apple products that are over 7 years old become discontinued, there aren’t any substitute parts, forcing us, if we want to stay with this brand, to buy another product.

Anjos

The Anjos (Angels) are a Portuguese musical project led by the brothers Nelson and Sérgio Rosado. The name was born from the nickname that the grandmother affectionately called them "my little angels." The first album "Ficarei" soon translated into more than 200,000 copies. The Angels project has contributed to various causes of solidarity, through concerts or songs used in social campaigns, as was the case with the campaign with the renowned Swatch brand, which resulted in the construction of more than one school in Timor.
In Portugal, deservedly had the privilege of having the complete musical track of the novel Vingança (Revenge), issued in prime time. All the songs on the respective CD are performed by the Rosado brothers. The Angels celebrated their 10 year career in 2008, releasing the second DVD and the book "Na alma dos Anjos". In 2015, the single "É o amor" reached the top spot in the iTunes sales chart in less than 24 hours. The latest musical release of this project is called "Longe" (2017). This album features the single "Para Longe" that is part of the track in the novel Jogo Duplo, currently on TVI (Portuguese channel).

Being around those whom I love, and seeing that they are all as happy as I am. The place that brings you peace: The countryside, the mountains and the sea… What makes you “stay”? Love Simplicity is... being ourselves and knowing to value everything and everyone around us. During your career, in what way has the digital world helped your success? When our musical project began, at that time nobody was concerned with digital, so we’ve had the last few years to create a framework of who we are as a band in this sector, it was more or less like beginning from zero, therefore we still consider it as something new for us. However, what we have come to do in the last 2 or 3 years gives us a sense, which is a useful tool, and these days the presence of any “product” or entity online will have to be obligatory, so naturally soon there will exist many and various strategic positioning options that we’ll have to take into consideration. In summary, I think that we will grow considerably with the digital world, we have a sense of its power, but really, we still have so much to do! Master of Simplicity Magazine

Maria clicked the refresh button for the millionth time in a short space of time, in the hope that, one of these times, the result would be different. But it wasn’t. She breathed deeply, trying to separate her thoughts and emotions…it wasn’t easy. It had been a few weeks since she had left the front of the computer screen. Her mother, usually from the other side of the door, shouted that this was not normal, that she must be addicted, that she needed to go out and see real people… At times, the echo of that voice resounded in her head, and she wondered if she was right. She found herself constantly fixed in this virtual world. Her body and perhaps her heart vibrated every time she saw a red notification on the screen, as if it was going to change her life, that it could take her out of this state of existential apathy, as if that red symbol was the symbol of the beginning of her life…or at least, of a different life, fuller of something…but she didn’t know what… On the other side of the door, the voices continued to haunt her:“You don’t know how to talk to people. You’re always cooped up in there, ruining the view, wasting energy. You, who were always so environmentally friendly…” At times, she felt like shouting back. She had managed to think of a dozen good ways to save the environment from right there: she didn’t use fuel from going out, she didn’t waste paper printing,she used much less energy than watching TV,she saved time from not moving around that she could use in much more useful ways....

But, instead of shouting, she tried to calm her mind. It was not worth wasting energy on these groundless discussions. Instead of this, she continued her research. In a little while, her mother became concerned about her friends, too. They rarely went out, per se, and most of them were hardly ever in the same room, giving all their attention to the screens of their cellphones, so-called ‘smart’ phones. They talked, almost exclusively, on social media. Actually, this way they managed to speak more,they shared more things, they were more “present” than the few times that they were really together. But, Maria got tired as well from “being” there. More and more the conversations followed the same design: “Hey. How are you? All good with you?...” and ended there. They never continued, never had much content…Because the content was shared more and more on their personal pages, on each of their timelines, consequently, there was no point in constantly repeating the same conversations to the hundreds of friends that they now had. Maria, more and more divorced and distanced from the real world, one day began to get rid of things. Things which she didn’t need anymore, which took up space in the room where she spent more and more time. Firstly, it was clothes. Why did she need so many clothes if she hardly ever went out? Next her CDs, which, truth be told, she never listened to anymore. The old school notes were the next thing to disappear… because of course, everything was available online.
Every time she looked around she saw more things that no longer had any meaning. Why should she keep them, then?! The TV she never watched, the phone she never used, furniture to have more space…and little by little, many things began to disappear from the room. Some were donated, others recycled, and others inevitably ended up in the trash. The last thing that she got rid of was her computer. At night, in the shadow of her room, barely lit by the light of her screen, she sat down, took a deep breath and reflected one more time on the idea for weeks, months… had echoed in her mind. There, on that very website, just a click away, lay her opportunity. And so, she clicked. She took another deep breath, intensely, as if to restore her breath. She slowly closed the laptop and put it inside one of the few drawers that was left and lay down. She slept a long but restless sleep, restless at the prospect of a new life. The next day she got up and got dressed. She put her toothbrush and her cellphone into the backpack that she had prepared the day before, with the few things which, in that moment, were essential for her, and she left. She left, on a journey around the world, to discover new places, new people and new feelings, but most of all to discover a new story for herself…of herself, of her roots, her essence, her meaning and purpose in life. A result you could never find in any online search engine.

The language of today Language is the most fundamental way we have to express ourselves. Ever since we are born we obtain what we want or what we need through language. It begins with crying, followed by laughter, giggles and later through words, gestures and universal expressions, which show our moods and which help - or hinder - in the management of our interpersonal relationships, independent from our mother tongue.

I often hear the question "Is language not just what we say?" Wrong! Far beyond just talking, language includes in its great majority non-verbal communication or body language, whichever you prefer, through which we relay intentions and messages. Certainly you’ve seen it enough times to recognize when someone is annoyed or bored, even without starting a conversation, just because of their grumpy face. Or on the contrary, you think someone is extremely friendly simply because they address you cordially with a smile on their face. One of the principles of Emotional Intelligence is being able to perceive the emotional state of another person through their verbal, vocal and above all non-verbal language, so that we can anticipate more easily the correct way to behave, avoiding conflict and restoring connections and relationships. I, for example, am able to identify whether an, “it went fine”, from my kids means it really went fine, or if they in fact mean the opposite, just by looking at their deflated posture.
The biggest challenge resides in the fact that these days, most of us – and more notably young people – choose written language over verbal language to communicate. We choose emojis to express feelings and sensations, and instead of a phone call or actual conversations we give priority to social networks and texting. Writing represents only 7% of our total language and obviously there is a lot left to be said. So, what really happens? Whoever receives the written message, GIF or image, decides at whim an idea of what the other person means, as if guessing the intonation with which it would be said. In summary, virtual language facilitates speed in communication and shortens physical distances but creates gaps in understanding of third parties, because of lack of body language and tone of voice. This can augment conflicts and cool relationships. Heed this advice: call that person that you’ve only ever messaged and set up a date. In the end, we weren’t created to be alone.

Working Online how to monetize our time remotely When in 2015 I decided to become a digital freelancer, I remember all the reactions and the astonishment: What do you mean working online? Did you spend all that time studying to work remotely now? This won't make you any money! Now, nearly three years later, I work one hundred percent online and remotely. Although my work as a freelancer is already very adaptable to working digitally (I work in digital marketing), I believe it's possible for anyone to work online...whatever sector you're in. Every time I say this, I'm met with interrogations and doubts like: "you say this, but a doctor couldn’t work online. Neither could a firefighter. Or a cop. " And it's here that one of the biggest lessons in working remotely begins: knowing how to differentiate work from profession. I don't think that all professions can be adapted to the online world, being that many require physical contact, in real time. However, I will repeat that: any field
can be adapted for the online world. A doctor certainly couldn't examine or operate online. However, they can provide medical follow-up services virtually, and create specialized medical content for the Internet... and really, if we're being honest, who has never searched their medical symptoms on Google? How great would it be to have a page where an accredited doctor responds to our general queries? The biggest lesson in working remotely is thinking outside of the box. Through the Digital Nomadism Portugal project, I offer consultancy processes which precisely help people to move away from the idea which we’re told throughout our entire lives of what is "normal work". That you have to suffer for work. That it costs to work. That it is a sacrifice to wake up to go to work. More and more, I believe that working remotely allows you to move away from all these ideas and finally be happy to go to work.

At times, we feel unmotivated, stressed or unfocused at work and, even so, we rarely stop to think that one of the main reasons might be the lack of organization of our workspace. Whether in the home or the office, organization and enhancement of our workspace is a decisive factor which directly relates to our productivity..
1 - CLEAN Take everything off your desk and clean it.
2 - SORT Categorize and question the usefulness of every object.
3 - ORGANIZATION Organize which papers to keep, deal with, or throw out. Only keep those that are really important. Note: don’t collect papers that need to be dealt with. If they exist, they should be in a visible place and checked the next day or that very week.
4 - PENS Check all the pens you have. Every time I organize my workspace, I realize the excessive number of pens I’ve accumulated. Our suggestion is to test every pen, check that it’s working and if you’re likely to use it anytime. If the answer is no, throw them out or give them away.
5 - A place for everything Choose a place for each object and every time you use it, put it back. If it takes you more than a minute to find something, it’s a sign that your organization system is not the right fit or is not working.
6 - Recordações Knick knacks are special for everyone, but if you’ve got a workspace full of souvenirs, drawings, trinkets, etc., you’ll have more distractions and chances to lose focus while you work. Keep just the essential minimum to keep you happy and undistracted.
7 - Maintenance Dedicate 10 minutes, once a week, to reorganizing the papers and objects on your desk. This behavior will have a significant and positive impact on your day to day life, both personally and professionally.

Minimalism in studies online learning Finding what’s essential in every aspect of our lives helps us adjust, gives us focus and opens up space for a more relaxed day. Being minimalistic in terms of studies is an interesting strategy which can help create a more simple and harmonious life. Distance learning studies can also be minimalist. At the end of the day, minimalism is not a label, a fixed formula, but a relationship between things, people, ideas and values. It is not just about what comes out of it, but how it stays with you. Distance learning is not a new concept. It began in the 18th century, in the US and the UK, with letters and courses by correspondence. AVG Technologies carried out a study with various families, the results of which show that 66% of children between the ages of 3 and 5 regularly play videogames, 47% knew how to use a smartphone, but only 14% were able to tie their shoelaces.
Technology has become such an everyday part of our lives that many of us question whether we could live without it. What I’d like to discuss with you today is the impact which technology is having on the emotional, cognitive and social development of our children, and what are the best ways that we can use it. On the topic of excessive technology, there are many studies which point to the social isolation which can come with using virtual reality games or social media, as use of these programs somewhat “satisfies” a child’s social needs. They also indicate that a child’s
capacity for feeling and expressing emotions can become compromised, having a negative effect on emotional development. From a cognitive point of view, especially after 2 years, technology use begins to undermine the learning process, which should be done through real stimulus as opposed to virtual stimulus. With this in mind, I believe that the most important thing is to be aware of this information and begin to use technology in a responsible way. I hope that you can find this key balance between the virtual and real worlds.
- Until they are 2 years old, children should not come into contact with cellphones, tablets or computers. - Children under 5 years should only use 1 hour. From 6 to 12 years, for 2 hours. From the age of 13 up to 3 hours. - Avoid keeping devices in the bedroom. - Parents should lead by example and reduce their usage. - Prioritize family activities without technology. - Avoid usage close to bedtime, as the light these devices emit interferes with melatonin (the hormone responsible for sleepiness). - Parents should ensure that children use technology and social networks safely and with supervision.

Mind the Trash developed in London initially just as an Instagram account, where I published tips and alternatives for a simpler life with less plastic. After moving to Portugal with my boyfriend Christian and coming across the lack of available alternatives, we decided to create the online store Mind the Trash, a store which sells organic and sustainable products and alternatives to plastic, with a blog attached where we put tips and display problems associated with the use of plastics and unnatural or toxic ingredients. Being an online store, we were able to reach more people and this was one of our main aims – to provide alternatives to everyone, no matter where they live.

QI - Ideas for Moms Event in Portugal On March 25, Sunday, the QI - Ideas for Moms event will be held in the city of Lisbon. This is a free, one-day event. There will be workshops and public speakings given by various professionals in the areas of health and exercise, as well as bloggers and entrepreneurs, who will give their testimony and contribution, on how to manage the family plan and the parenting. Easy and nutritious snacks! We know that eating in front of a computer is not the recommended option by health professionals, however, in some cases, its unavoidable. That’s why thinking about the quality of the food that we are going to snack on can improve our well being. When choosing my snacks, I avoid super processed foods, which are dietary products that contain large quantities of ingredients such as colorings, flavorings, acids and even larger quantities of salt and sugar in their make up. These can cause different illnesses such as allergies, diabetes, obesity and hypertension, as well as contributing towards the production of trash and forfeiting a large part of our family income. My choice is always “real food” which is food in its most natural state, with real ingredients, that can be found in nature. Real food is simple, as everything should be…much like the minimalist lifestyle. Bearing this is mind, I chose the top 4 recipes that I most like to make, that are easy, nutritious and tasty.

Banana sorbet 4 Bananas 1 spoon of oatmeal - Slice the bananas in circles and put them in the freezer; - Whisk the bananas in the blender until it forms an even mixture; - Place it in cups; - Add the oats and serve.
Mango cream 2 cups of natural yoghurt 4 ripe mangoes - Slice the mango into small pieces and put it in the freezer until frozen; - Put the yoghurt in a coffee filter and leave to drip into a container; - Whisk the yoghurt with the mango in a blender until you get a creamy mixture; - Put the cream into jars and serve.

Oatmeal and banana cookie • 2 sweet bananas • 1 cup of oats • Dried fruit mix • Cinnamon - Set the oven to 180° - Mash the banana with a fork and gradually add the oats; - Mix in the dried fruit mix; - Set aside the dough; - Grease the mold and put in the dough with the aid of a spoon; - Sprinkle over the cinnamon; - Put it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes (until golden).

Sweet potato chips • Sweet Potato • Olive Oil - Clean the yams and slice them in the shape of chips; - Put them onto a baking tray; - Add oil; Leave in the oven at 180° for 30 minutes. Before bringing them out of the oven, I like to put on a little sweet paprika, a pinch of salt and oregano to give more flavor.
