Dear Theatregoer,

Welcome, once again, to a marvelous new season here at The Epstein Theatre. After the remarkable and landmark year we had in 2013, which saw us celebrate the theatres 100th Anniversary, we were more determined than ever to make 2014 filled with a diverse and enticing range of shows to bring you back again and again. This spring there really is something for everyone; keeping up the high standards of what you have come to expect from The Epstein, I am certain you will be impressed with what we have on offer. With sensational music line-ups, side splitting standup comedy, evocative dance shows, as well as musical comedy, drama and opera. Plus throw in not one but two Easter Panto’s and something racy for the ladies, and you have got a tantalising season to look forward to! With some returning favourites as well as new faces this season, I look forward to welcoming you to the theatre very soon.

- Best wishes -

SWEDISH SMORGASBORD Tue 18 March | 7.30PM £10 Stravinsky Octet I Jan Sandström Wahlberg Variations Lars Hollmer arr. Jarle G. Storløkken ‘Eyeliner’ Suite World Premiere Christian Lindberg Kundraan’s Karma/ Director/Trombone I Patrick Jones Unfurl World Premiere Stravinsky wondered about rewriting Mozart… and then one night he had a dream. The Octet that resulted doesn’t sound much like Mozart, but then, Sandstrom’s Wahlberg Variations don’t sound much like car crashes or apes either. And if Stravinsky was at the back of Lindberg’s mind when he cooked up the devilish delights of his extraordinary Kundraan’s Karma, he’s not telling.
