2nd Section of Scenes

2nd section Imagery Here I am creating the imagery for the 2nd part of the animation from my story board.

I found this photo looking up at a skyscraper (left) and threshold it and cut it out. I really like this image and think it would be perfect for my first scene which I have draw out. I also cut out the front building separately so I could make it look more 3D when it comes to animating.

I had this image before starting this scene because I thought it would be good to use for survivors. The only problem is the quality of the image. This makes it ideal for this first scene as they will be placed at the top of a building so don’t need to be to detailed. I chose to use only these two as they look similar and give me a nice height difference to play with, another reason is the fact you can see the whole body unlike the man in the middle.

Here is I threshold the two guys.

That is what I want my scene to look like when it is finished. I used the Zombie crowd from one of the previous scenes and layered them up. I don’t think it will matter me using the same zombie image as its not the focus point of the shot its also not easy to tell they are the same.

Top of the front building is where I will place my two men so they are visible but not to big for the scale to look right. I am impressed with this shot and I am excited to animate it.

I looked long and hard for an image of a turret gun from the angel I wanted and this is the one which I settled on. I don’t think I will be able to rotate this image like I anticipated in my story board but I will use the image anyway maybe move zombies towards the gun or make it look like the gun is driving away.

This is the cut out and threshold version I plan to use. I also found this image of a military HUMV which I could use if I want to make it look like its driving away.

I wasn’t sure which type of zombie to use, the silhouette or the 2 tone? I decided on the silhouette as I plan to layer loads of the same zombies up and this will make it less obvious and I think also it will work better for this scene.

I have cut out 8 different zombies and made the solid black. I plan to layer these up loads in the z space to give the impression of them coming towards you.

Found this perfect image to use for the church scene. I think it is from the film machine gun preacher. I want it to be 3D so I cut the guy out and spot healed the gap in Photoshop. This failed so I added some bit in with the clone tool and was still unhappy with the results so I look for a better background for the man.

He looks like a man who walks away from an explosion so I attempted to find a good image for this. It wasn’t easy to find one but I have one of a building alight. Attempted to 2 tone it and it just looks horrible so I went back to looking for a church.

I found this image of a church and it is basically what I drew up in my story board so my scene came work exactly how I wanted it to. Very happy with this shot and happy I found a replica of my drawing.

This is what I want the scene to look like in the end. Pleased with the result.
