Michael Hays

Anyone can be a Porsche owner. From that group a certain subset of individuals come to an understanding of the brand and tradition which nurtures a certain level of camaraderie. This is indicated in the little wave as you sit next to another Porsche at the light or a flash of the headlights as you pass another owner. In all of that, there is a certain diligence of understanding the brand inferred in just being in the Porsche Club in the first place. More of us than less, of course, take the opportunity in this engagement to participate in the various planned events. A few from that group from time to time take advantage of the unplanned or semi-regular pop-up gatherings to mingle with the more involved members and hear the numerous stories and tales of Porsche adventures. Of those members, there are a few that show up hours before the advertised start time exercising their “hardcore” enthusiasm for Porsche-ness! Even fewer choose to participate in managing and leading the club activities… Michael Hays participates in all of the above.

Michael is the Maverick PCA Board Co-Chair for the Tours along with Ted Martin. He has been involved with the board managing the tours for two years and thanks to his tour leaders, the volunteers and Ted and his leadership, they are enjoying record participation.

He is one of the “Hardcore” earliest arrivals to the events and a huge fan of the Porsche cars and tradition offering his knowledge and experiences to everyone! Thanks to the Maverick Mav of the Month, Michael Hays!!

The Maverick of Month recognizes one member of the club each month for exemplifying what it means to be a Maverick. Volunteers, Board of Director Chairs and Members at Large going out of their way to give back and lead are the backbone of our club.
