Business AcuWomen
In April, the Women’s Empowerment Network (WE Network) launched the Business AcuWomen program.
Each month the program explores a different segment or department at Cummins. Participants delve into the purpose, work involved, working environment and professional prospects within each area. Key focuses include recognising transferable skills, identifying avenues for building experience, creating support networks, and enhancing visibility.

While Business AcuWomen is specifically designed to support women, its content and sessions are available to everyone within Cummins, fostering an inclusive environment where all can benefit from the wealth of knowledge and insights shared.
The inaugural keynote session on 11 April featured Peter Jensen-Muir. Under the theme of general management, Peter provided a comprehensive business overview of the Asia Pacific region, highlighted the launch of Accelera, and shared invaluable perspectives on Cummins leadership behaviours based on his own experience.
More than 150 employees eagerly attended the session, which culminated in an engaging Q&A session where participants could delve deeper into their personal inquiries about leadership and management with Peter.
Business AcuWomen’s second session was on 24 May. Lauren White, Director of Human Resources, provided an overview of Cummins’ HR and talent management and shared her story of personal and career growth. The session delved into the many functions and best practices within HR, providing valuable insights for employees throughout the organisation.
Designed to ensure equal representation and support the professional and personal success of all employees, the program demystifies business-facing roles within Cummins through interactive webinars with members of the Asia Pacific Leadership Team.
The program continues with monthly sessions until October. Watch your inboxes to register to attend upcoming sessions.
A recording of each session is available on the AcuWomen page.
