La felicità non si governa Un grande pensatore, appena scomparso, Umberto Eco, ci ha lasciato molto materiale di vera saggezza sul quale riflettere. Tra le sue tante perle mi ha colpito la riflessione su due temi importanti: la felicità e il suo opposto, l’infelicità.

Diceva Eco: aver incluso la ricerca della felicità tra i diritti dell’uomo, com’è stato sancito dalla Dichiarazione di Indipendenza americana, è stato un grossolano errore da parte dei padri costituenti, perché niente è più vago del concetto di felicità.

Per una persona essere felice può voler dire divertirsi in discoteca o comprarsi un paio di scarpe, per un altro può significare illuminarsi il cuore con un buon libro.

Quindi, impegnare un governo, articolato e composito come quello nord americano, a produrre la ricerca della felicità, ha rappresentato e continua a rappresentare un assurdo. Questo ha determinato un vasto seguito nel mondo.

Invece, sempre secondo Eco, cercare di ridurre al minimo l’infelicità potrebbe veder impegnata un’intera nazione in un programma sì, complesso ma attuabilissimo.

Perché l'infelicità è innegabilmente la stessa per tutti: è il dolore, la morte di una persona cara, la mancanza di un lavoro, è un figlio ammalato che non si sa come curare… L’elenco potrebbe essere davvero molto lungo.

Un governo che si proponga di evitare tutto questo saprebbe perfettamente cosa fare: assicurare l'assistenza medica, impedire che un bambino con dei problemi sia tagliato fuori dalla società, diminuire gli incidenti automobilistici, ridurre lo spreco di tempo per l’eccesso di traffico...

Anche qui l’elenco è infinito.

Le persone che non sono infelici sanno benissimo come raggiungere la felicità. O, se non proprio la felicità, la serenità di spirito.

HAPPINESS IS NOT GOVERNED A great thinker, who recently passed away, Umberto Eco left behind a great deal of truly wise material on which to ponder. Among his many pearls of wisdom I was particularly struck by his reflections on two important subjects: happiness and its opposite, unhappiness.

Said Eco: having included the pursuit of happiness among the rights of man, as stated in the American Declaration of Independence, was a wretched mistake on the part of the founding fathers, because nothing is vaguer than the concept of happiness.

For one person being happy might mean having fun in a discotheque or buying a pair of shoes for another it might mean the thrill of a good book.

Consequently, committing a government, as varied and farreaching as the American government, to produce happiness, represented and continues to represent an absurdity.

This has determined a huge following in the world.

Instead, once again according to Eco, trying to reduce unhappiness to minimum terms could involve an entire nation in a program, a complicated one to be sure, but surely feasible.

Because unhappiness is undeniably the same for everyone: it’s the pain, the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, it’s a sick child that we don’t know how to heal …The list could go on and on.

A government that proposes to avoid all this would surely know what to do: ensure medical care, prevent a child with disabilities from being cut out of society, lessen automobile accidents, reduce wasted time due to too much traffic ….

Here too the list is lengthy.

Persons who are not unhappy know very well how to reach happiness. Or, if not exactly happiness, then a sense of serenity.

LUXURY NEWS EVENT / BREGUET AL TEATRO DELL’OPERA A 200 anni dalla nascita del “Barbiere di Siviglia”, avvenuta nel 1816 al Teatro Argentina di Roma, il capolavoro di Rossini è stato celebrato dal Teatro dell’Opera con un nuovo allestimento e con una regia firmata da Davide Livermore, ricca di originalità, sorprese, citazioni, rimandi contemporanei e sovrapposizioni fantasiose, dai meravigliosi costumi alle scene e coreografie innovative. E lo scorso 11 febbraio, proprio in occasione della speciale “prima” che ha dato il via alle celebrazioni per il bicentenario del Barbiere di Siviglia la maison BREGUET, storico marchio di alta orologeria, ha annunciato la sua main partnership con il Teatro dell’Opera: la scelta del titolo rossiniano per eccellenza non è stata casuale, visto che lo stesso Gioacchino Rossini possedeva un prezioso orologio Breguet datato 1828 di piccole dimensioni e con cassa d’oro rabescata.

Un incontro di eccellenze, l’arte orologiera Breguet incontra il genio di Rossini e la sapienza del Teatro dell’Opera. “Del resto la musica è tempo” - ha affermato il Sovrintendente Carlo Fuortes.

Il volto di lei, incorniciato dai capelli scuri, ricorda quello di Anna Karina, la donna angelo di Jean-Luc Godard, icona della Nouvelle Vague. La perfetta storia d’amore tra la musa e il suo maestro. Cornice degli scatti, lo splendido QC Termeroma, un luogo incantato a pochi passi dal centro di Roma.

Nata a Madrid, Rocio Muñoz Morales inizia a studiare ballo sin da bambina e nel 2006 prende parte al tour di Julio Iglesias. Dal 2009 prende parte a varie serie televisive spagnole: La pecera de Eva, Casi Ángeles, Ángel O Demonio e Todo Es Posible En El Bajo. Tante le collaborazioni con diversi stilisti e numerose le riviste per le quali posa. Nel 2012 debutta al cinema italiano nella commedia Immaturi: Il viaggio diretta da Paolo Genovese. Nel 2013 è impegnata nel film d’azione tedesco The Glorious Seven di Harald Franklin. Nel 2014 inizia le riprese di Un Passo Dal Cielo per Rai 1. In occasione del Festival di Sanremo 2015 ha calcato il palcoscenico dell’Ariston.

Giorgio Pasotti debutta al cinema con I piccoli maestri di Daniele Lucchetti, interpretazione per la quale viene notato da Gabriele Muccino che lo sceglie come protagonista di Ecco fatto, L’ultimo bacio e Baciami ancora.

Nel 2000 debutta a teatro come protagonista in Poligraphe di Robert Lepage. Diverse le commedie sentimentali e fiction televisive come Distretto di Polizia. Nel 2004 è il protagonista di Volevo solo dormirle addosso di Eugenio Cappuccio e Dopo mezzanotte di Davide Ferrario. Nel 2006 viene scelto da Mario Monicelli per Le rose del deserto. Negli ultimi tempi ha scritto il libro Dentro un mondo nuovo e ha diretto diversi cortometraggi.

Nel 2012 ritorna sul grande schermo per La grande bellezza di Paolo Sorrentino. Nel 2014 è stato protagonista di Mio papà, scritto e interpretato da Giorgio Pasotti per la regia di Giulio Base e protagonista nel film Io, Arlecchino per il quale ha firmato anche la regia. Attualmente in tournée teatrale con Il metodo per la regia di Lorenzo Lavia.

BREATHLESS LOVE Beauty and romance in the new photo shooting by Luxury files magazine where protagonists are Giorgio Pasotti and Rocío Muñoz Morales. Her face, framed by dark hair, is a reminiscence of Anna Karina, the angel of Jean-Luc Godard, icon of the Nouvelle Vague. The perfect love story between the muse and her artist. The chosen location is the beautiful QC Termeroma, an enchanted place a short walk from the center of Rome.

LUXURY NEWS PLACES/by Gianni Mercatali UNO STORICO SALOTTO Stile inconfondibile, qualità di alto livello, ambiente accogliente, elegante, discreto. In due parole: HARRY’S BAR. A Firenze, sul Lungarno Vespucci. Giovanni Battista Giorgini, che negli anni ‘50 inventò la moda e Pitti, riceveva qui i buyers e qui firmava i primi grandi affari. Più tardi a questi tavoli sedevano Richard Burton con Liz Taylor.

Margaux Hemingway, attrice e nipote del grande Ernest, volle “battezzare” il suo personale sgabello al bar. Si fece portare una bottiglia di champagne, tolse l’etichetta e l’attaccò sotto lo sgabello, dov’è ancora. E poi Robin Williams, Franco Zeffirelli, Paul Newman, Sir Roger Moore che fu 007, Fernando Botero. Un mito, questo locale, dal 1953 è sempre vivo tra i fiorentini, ma non solo. Oggi, di proprietà della famiglia Bechi, a condurlo con manageriale professionalità ma anche con l’eleganza e la cordialità del padrone di casa c’è Roberto Focardi mentre protagonista al bar è il giovane Thomas Martini. In carta i piatti storici realizzati con lo stesso rigore e la stessa chiarissima identità. Ecco allora i tagliolini gratinati al Parmigiano con prosciutto, ecco il cocktail di gamberi in salsa Marie Rose, le code di gamberi o il pollo al curry aromatico con riso pilaf e mango chutney, ma anche l’insalata di pollo, l’hamburger, il piatto di milanesine, il club sandwich, perfino la purée di spinaci. Stessi “titoli”, stesse ricette. Ma cambia la cura delle materie prime, per un mondo di gourmet sempre più esigenti, di palati sempre più raffinati e sensibili. La carta presenta comunque anche creazioni del momento, piatti che variano quattro volte l’anno, secondo le stagioni.

AN HISTORICAL SALON Unmistakable style, high quality, warm atmosphere, elegance, discretion.

Two simple words: HARRY’S BAR. In Florence, the address is Lungarno Vespucci. Giovanni Battista Giorgini, who in the 1950’s invented fashion and Pitti, received buyers here and made the first big deals. Later on Richard Burton and Liz Taylor sat at these tables. Margaux Hemingway, actress and granddaughter of the great Ernest, wanted to “baptize” her own personal stool at the bar. She ordered a bottle of champagne, removed the label and stuck it under the stool, where it still is. And later still Robin Williams, Franco Zeffirelli, Paul Newman, Sir Roger Moore who was 007, Fernando Botero. A legend, this watering hole, since 1953 it’s a favorite of Florentines, and not just them. Today, in the hands of the Bechi family, under the expert management and cordial elegance is Roberto Focardi while the master of the bar is young Thomas Martini. The menu lists historical dishes prepared with the same careful attention and the same clear identity. Here then tagliolini gratinati al Parmigiano con prosciutto, here is the shrimp cocktail in Marie Rose, here shrimp tails or aromatic curried chicken with rice pilaf and mango chutney, but also chicken salad, hamburgers, the milanesine, club sandwiches, even mashed spinach. Same names, same recipes. But the attention paid to ingredients has changed, to meet the ever more demanding world of gourmets, of ever finer and sensitive palates. The menu however also lists some spontaneous creations, dishes that vary four times a year, like the seasons.

Una donna che sa ritagliarsi i propri spazi giocando con le sue molteplici personalità: da donna rassicurante ad eterna bambina, da donna sofisticata a femme fatale. Una donna che osa e ama dettagli sempre più ricercati: pizzi, ricami e inserti trasparenti e preziosi che si sovrappongono ad abitini maglia dai colori frizzanti e fantasie giocose.

Legmanìa per tutti i gusti: uomini e donne che, indistintamente, giocano con fantasie multicolor e stampe sempre più alternative. ”Un’edizione di qualità” è questo il commento a caldo degli espositori presenti che hanno riscontrato in generale un approccio costruttivo e concreto dei visitatori, basato su “preparazione e determinazione all’acquisto”.

Three days dedicated to fashion trends and the first glances at the underwear and lingerie collections for autumn/winter 2016/2017.

Three days of runway shows: on the catwalk women are even more cosmopolitan and shows off her femininity with determination, protagonist of her time and aware of her choices. A woman who knows how to shape her spaces playing with her multiple personalities: from reassuring woman to the eternal child, from a sophisticated woman to a femme fatale. A woman who dares and who loves the attention to details: laces, embroideries and transparent and precious inserts that lap over onto sweater dresses with bubbly colors and playful designs.

LUXURY NEWS CULTURE / LE TRADIZIONI SONO IL NOSTRO LUSSO Un’eccellenza che si veste di luce nuova. Abbiamo potuto intervistare il Presidente dell’ISRE di Nuoro - Bruno Murgia - e dalla sua viva voce è emerso il ruolo fondamentale e strategico dell’Istituto Superiore Regionale Etnografico della Sardegna. È stato appena inaugurato un nuovo spazio di circa 3mila mq con varie sale espositive per eventi e mostre temporanee. Oltre allo storico patrimonio in esposizione, ovvero circa 5mila oggetti tra abiti tradizionali e suppellettili che raccontano la storia più autentica della Sardegna fino quasi ai giorni nostri, sono davvero numerose le iniziative in programma. In particolare citiamo il Festival Cinematografico “Isre is Real” un concorso che premierà inediti documentari alla presenza di illustri ospiti fra cui lo stilista Antonio Marras, vari registi, attori e giornalisti. Molti i laboratori multimediali, lì in programma workshop e seminari, in particolare per coinvolgere anche il pubblico più giovane. Il presidente Murgia ribadisce il suo impegno per la promozione della cultura e del territorio e sottolinea: “Il nostro patrimonio è un lusso, pertanto preservarlo, raccontarlo e promuoverlo è la nostra mission da sempre, è il nostro sguardo al futuro”.

HERITAGE IS OUR LUXURY An excellence with a new light. We were able to interview President of ISRE Nuoro - Mr. Bruno Murgia - and by his own voice he revealed the important role of the Istituto Superiore Regionale Etnografico of Sardinia.

Now it’s just opened a new space, more or less 3 thousand square meters with various exhibition rooms for events and temporary exhibitions. In addition to the historical heritage exhibited, more than 5 thousand objects, traditional clothes and ornaments that tell us the authentic story of Sardinia until nowadays, there are so many planned initiatives. In particular, the film festival ‘Isre is Real’ a contest that will award unpublished documentaries. So many vip guests including Antonio Marras, directors, actors and journalists should be there. In the various multimedia laboratories are planned workshops and seminars, in particular to involve the younger audience. The President Bruno Murgia reaffirms his commitment to the promotion of culture and territory and underlines: “Our heritage is a luxury, so preserve it, promote it and tell it is our mission, it represents our look to the future”.

LUXURY NEWS CULTURE / UN UOMO E LA SUA CITTÀ IN UN LIBRO “Quest’anno ricorre il 70° anniversario dell’impresa fondata a Nuoro nel 1945 da mio padre e giunta con mio figlio Marco alla quarta generazione. Da allora Nuoro è profondamente cambiata, e in meglio. Oggi è una città complessa, moderna, ricca di differenze e di opportunità.

Ma molto rimane da fare per superare le divisioni del passato e a affrontare con successo le nuove sfide che il mondo ci pone. Abbiamo bisogno di una città più dialogante, che metta in rete e valorizzi le tante capacità e volontà di cui dispone e di cui sono disseminate le storie raccolte in questo libro... La storia di mio padre si fonde con quella della nostra città ed è per questo motivo che ho voluto fortemente ricordarlo, insieme a chi lo ha conosciuto”. Queste le parole di Fabio Rosas. È nato nello scorso dicembre ed è già un must, un grande salotto del bien vivre, così questo Salone de Gastronomie dall’evocativo nome di Madeleine riporta ai primi del 900, tra gli scritti di Marcel Proust e i profumi di ciò che ci fa sentire felici e disincantati. Un’atmosfera speciale tra carta da parati in stile chinoiserie e boiserie realizzata da Wood Alchemist di Simone Castelli su disegni originali. A Giancarlino si deve la scelta del nome “Madeleine”, in onore del più famoso dolce di Francia e sull’eco della “ricerca di un tempo perduto” da ritrovare magari proprio qui in un sapore, un piatto, un ricordo, un incontro, un biscotto.

Nel corso degli ultimi decenni si è assistito ad intensi processi di delocalizzazione produttiva in favore di contesti esteri connotati da rilevanti vantaggi comparati in termini, ad esempio, di costo della manodopera e/o delle materie prime. Le principali aree target erano costituite dai Paesi dell’Est Europa, dalla Cina e dal più ampio bacino asiatico, tutte contraddistinte da una scarsa regolamentazione delle politiche sociali che consentiva agli investitori stranieri di raggiungere una competitività elevata in tempi brevi.

Tuttavia, più di recente, tale processo sembra registrare un’inversione di tendenza, definita back-reshoring, che vede rientrare nel Paese di origine le attività produttive precedentemente esternalizzate da parte di rilevanti gruppi imprenditoriali. Negli Stati Uniti tale fenomeno è ormai una realtà consolidata, grazie anche agli incentivi pubblici e al ribasso dei costi relativi all’approvvigionamento energetico. È interessante rilevare, però, come anche in Italia si stia assistendo ad un cambiamento in tal senso. Un recente studio ha dimostrato come alcune rilevanti imprese italiane (es. Furla, Nannini, Beghelli) abbiano lasciato i Paesi in cui si erano insediate per rientrare nel Bel Paese. Le motivazioni alla base di una simile scelta sono molteplici. Senza dubbio, allo stato attuale il costo del lavoro è stato surclassato dai costi logistici. La necessità di una tempestiva e affidabile risposta al mercato diventa un fattore determinante nelle scelte gestionali. Unitamente a ciò, le imprese appaiono sempre più attente all’instabilità politica e, quindi, al rischio Paese che caratterizza i contesti esteri. Inoltre, la delocalizzazione produttiva può erodere il capitale di immagine legato al cosiddetto effetto “made in” (Maizza, 2014).

Over the course of recent decades we have witnessed intense production delocalization in favor of foreign contexts marked by significant advantages when compared, for example, in terms of the cost of manpower and/or raw materials. The principal target areas were Eastern European countries, China and to a great extent the entire Asian continent, all noted for poor regulations pertaining to social policies that allowed foreign investors to reach a high degree of competitiveness in a short time.

Nonetheless, more recently, this process seems to be turning around, defined back-reshoring, which witnesses the return to the country of origin of production activities previously externalized on the part of important entrepreneurial groups. In the United States this phenomenon is now a consolidated reality, also thanks to public incentives and to the lowering of costs relating to energy stocking. It is interesting to note, however, how in Italy too we are witnessing a change in this sense. A recent study demonstrated how a number of important Italian businesses (such as Furla, Nannini, Beghelli) have left the countries in which they had transferred to return to Italy. The reasons behind this are many. Without doubt, at the present time the cost of labor has been surpassed by the cost of logistics. The need for a prompt and reliable response to the market becomes a determining factor in management choices. In addition to this, the businesses seem more attentive to political instability and, consequently, to country risks that mark foreign contexts. In addition, production delocalization can erode the capital of image linked to the so-called “Made in” effect (Maizza, 2014).

Il dato eclatante è che l’Italia appare al primo posto tra i Paesi europei interessati dal back-reshoring, seconda soltanto agli Stati Uniti d’America. Il 40.7% dei 194 casi europei di “rimpatrio” riguarda aziende italiane, operanti - nella maggior parte dei casi - nei settori classici del made in Italy: tessile e calzaturiero (43%), elettrotecnico ed elettronico (18,6%), automotive (5,8%), mobili e componenti d’arredamento (5,8%), dal settore biomedico (4,7%), salute e benessere (4,7%), meccanico (4,7%) (Di Legge, 2015). Occorrerà monitorare ancora il fenomeno prima di poter dire se avrà un impatto su larga scala o resterà una scelta imprenditoriale di pochi. Certo è che il back-reshoring rappresenta una modalità concreta per rilanciare le sorti dell’industria manifatturiera italiana in un momento in cui si assiste ad una battuta d’arresto da parte dei Paesi emergenti. Difatti, riavvicinare le imprese ai Paesi di origine significa ridurre drasticamente i tempi di risposta al mercato, aggiungendo valore alla produzione grazie ad una maggiore flessibilità. Le politiche di sostegno del made in Italy possono rappresentare un incentivo importante per il rimpatrio delle attività. Tuttavia, le imprese devono necessariamente effettuare un ripensamento delle proprie strategie internazionali che premi la piena valorizzazione dell’origine delle produzioni, un asset decisivo per competere con successo nei mercati globali.

Ed è in questa prospettiva che si inserisce il curriculum in “Beni di Lusso, Made in Italy e Mercati Emergenti”, del Corso di Laurea Magistrale in Economia e Management Internazionale dell’Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma che, mediante insegnamenti in inglese e in italiano relativi a discipline economico-manageriali e giuridiche, inerenti le produzioni di alta gamma dell’industria italiana, mira a formare manager capaci di operare in un’economia globale, interculturale e complessa, riuscendo a valorizzare le qualità e il capitale reputazionale del Made in Italy sui mercati internazionali.

The striking feature is that Italy appears to be in the first place among European countries affected by backreshoring, second only to the United States. 40.7% of the 194 European cases of “repatriation” pertains to Italian companies, operating - in the majority of cases - in the classic Made in Italy sectors: textiles and footwear (43%), electrical engineering and electronics (18.6%), automotive (5,8%), furniture and furnishings (5.8%), biomedical (4.7%), health and wellness (4.7%), mechanical (4.7%) (Di Legge, 2015). The phenomenon will still need to be monitored before being able to say whether it will have a large-scale impact or whether it will be an entrepreneurial choice of just a few. One thing is certain: back-reshoring represents a concrete way to restart the fate of Italian manufacturers at a time when emerging economies have come to a halt. In fact, reconnecting the businesses with the countries of origin means drastically reducing response time for the market, adding value to the production thanks to increased flexibility. The policies of support for Made in Italy can represent an important incentive for the repatriation of businesses. Nonetheless, the businesses must necessarily seriously rethink their international strategies which award the full valorization of the origin of the productions, a decisive asset for competing successfully in global markets.

And it is in this perspective that the curriculum “Beni di Lusso, Made in Italy e Mercati Emergenti” fits so well. This degree course in Economics and International Management offered by the Università degli Studi Internazionali di Roma which, through classes in English and in Italian relating to economic-managerial and legal subjects, pertaining to the production of high range manufactured Italian articles, aims at training managers able to operate in a global, inter-cultural and complex economy, able to valorize the qualities and the reputational capital of Made in Italy on international markets.

CHE SI FA In questi anni mi sono interrogato spesso sui fattori chiave che possono determinare il successo di una azienda.

Non il successo estemporaneo, ma più in particolare la capacità di seminarlo, coltivarlo, con l’ambizione di darne un significato più nobile possibile e svincolato da una mera performance economica. Le risposte sono tante e spesso tanto contraddittorie quanto complesse e quindi probabilmente nemmeno utili a fornire un’indicazione interessante che invece necessiterebbe di semplicità ed eleganza. Proprio su questo pensiero di elegante semplicità mi sono chiesto quanto il concetto di stile aziendale potesse in qualche modo fornire una delle risposte. Ci si imbatte in varie definizioni di stile aziendale, a volte enfatizzate sulla questione di tipologia di leadership altre volte sul modello di comunicazione, arrivando ad interpretazioni, spesso al limite dell’eccesso, circa il dress-code o linguaggio aziendale. Una cosa è certa, lo stile, qualunque sia la declinazione scelta, determina come l’azienda voglia rappresentarsi definendo il proprio modo di essere, contaminando ciò che si fa con ciò che si è.

Educazione, rispetto e sensibilità, queste le parole che più di tutte amo ricollegare allo stile aziendale. Il tutto condito con abbondante equilibrio. Ingredienti inoltre che, in ogni cosa della vita, caratterizzano in modo netto le impronte che le persone lasciano, e non dobbiamo assolutamente dimenticare che dire azienda è dire persone. Elementi poi che possono rappresentare il sottofondo a qualsiasi nota peculiare, di unicità, che si voglia imprimere al racconto della propria impresa.

In the past several years I’ve often asked myself about the key factors that can determine the success of any given company. Not an extemporaneous success, but more in particular the ability to sow the seeds, to cultivate it, with the ambition of giving it the most noble of meanings and releasing it from a mere economic performance. The answers are many and often as contradictory as they are complex and consequently probably not even useful for providing an interesting indication which instead would require simplicity and elegance. It’s this idea of elegant simplicity that spurred me to ask myself to what extent does the concept of company style provide one of the answers. One finds various definitions of company style, at times centered on the question of type of leadership, while other times on the method of communication, thus arriving at interpretations, often in the extreme, regarding the dress-code or company language. One thing is certain: the style, whatever the chosen declination, determines how a company wants to represent itself defining its way of being, contaminating what it does with what it is.

Ognuna di queste tre qualità pervade pesantemente i rapporti, gli atteggiamenti che abbiamo quotidianamente con chi è coinvolto con il nostro fare azienda e determinano la scelta di fare o meno un gesto, di guardare o meno una persona, di lasciare o meno il proprio smartphone a riposo, di saper cogliere un momento di difficoltà altrui senza sottolinearlo, di prendersi o meno la responsabilità di un errore, di assecondare o meno un pregiudizio, di ascoltare o meno per capire. Il tutto influenzando più spesso di quanto si immagini lo stesso risultato di business. Scegliere questa idea di stile non comporta rinunce in termini autorevolezza o determinazione e non lede la legittima scelta di un habitat più o meno informale.

Cercare di porre questa idea al centro della vita aziendale, anche a prescindere dalle proprie naturali attitudini, spetta in primis a chi l’azienda la crea e a chi la costruisce.

Ispirato da chi di stile viveva dico che i fatturati passano lo stile resta.

Politeness, respect and sensitivity, these are the words that more than any others I like to connect to company style. Mixed with an abundance of equilibrium. Ingredients, moreover, which in all aspects of life, markedly define the prints that people leave, and we absolutely must not forget that the word company means persons. Elements too that can represent the background for any peculiar note, of uniqueness, that one wants to impress on the story of one’s business.

Each of these three qualities strongly pervades relations, attitudes that we have on a daily basis with those who are involved with our way of doing business and determine the choice of whether or not a gesture is made, of looking or not looking at a person, of leaving our smartphone turned off or not, of knowing how to recognize someone in difficulty without underlining it, of owning up or not to a mistake, of appeasing or not a prejudice, of listening or not listening in order to understand.

More than one can imagine all of this influences the results of said business. Choosing this idea of style does not involve giving something up in terms of authority or determination and does not harm the legitimate choice of a more or less informal habitat.

Trying to place this idea at the center of company life, even excluding one’s own natural attitudes, is first of all up to the person who creates the business and to who builds it.

Inspired by those who live for style I say that turnover comes and goes but style remains.

TILLY IS A WOMAN WHO HAS HAD TO FACE UP TO IMPORTANT CHALLENGES TO BECOME WHO SHE IS. ”

A Dungatar tutti conoscono Tilly. Ottusi, curiosi, scontrosi e poco socievoli, tutti difendono un equilibrio precario, consapevoli che nessun segreto è davvero al sicuro.

Il ritorno di Tilly in città fa vacillare questo labile equilibrio. La minaccia si veste di strane ed esotiche stoffe, giunte dalla Francia fino a qui a bordo di cassapanche cariche di tessuti. Il sergente Farrat (Hugo Weaving) è il primo a notare con quanta grazia e passione Tilly dia vita alle proprie creazioni, fatte di seta e fili pregiati. È lui a giocare il ruolo di interfaccia tra Tilly e gli altri abitanti del paese, che non hanno dimenticato la tragedia di cui hanno sempre creduto colpevole Tilly - tanto da indurla a partire e ad esiliarsi in Francia. Tilly sente di essere stata ingiustamente accusata, ma non ha un chiaro ricordo di quanto accaduto. Gli abitanti di Dungatar, attratti dalle sue incredibili abilità sartoriali, la aiuteranno più o meno consapevolmente a ricostruire il mosaico della verità, tessera dopo tessera. Gli abiti meravigliosi che sa creare diventano un’arma contro i suoi detrattori. Ma la vendetta si paga a caro prezzo. La Winslet ricorda: “Quando ho letto per la prima volta la sceneggiatura, ho notato quanto questa donna sia diversa da tutte le altre. In lei c’è una forza incrollabile, a volte quasi aggressiva; è una donna che ha dovuto affrontare sfide importanti per diventare quella che è.”

“Tilly è Australiana e a me è sempre piaciuto interpretare personaggi che vengono da paesi lontani. Mi sono lasciata trasportare dalla sua storia, dal suo essere circondata dagli abitanti di Dungatar, tanto che durante le riprese abbiamo chiamato anche gli abitanti del posto - la sua storia si muove su uno sfondo ironico, divertente. È una commedia dark, talvolta strana, che dipinge un’affascinante relazione madrefiglia. È l’insieme di tutti questi elementi che mi ha conquistata.”. Kate afferma di aver adorato indossare abiti meravigliosi con una grande storia, si rievocano gli anni '50 in cui Dior, Vionnet e Balenciaga hanno cambiato per sempre il concetto di moda ed abito femminile.

Parliamo di icone di storia del costume e di stile inconfondibile che lascia il segno.

Così come la bella Kate che dal Titanic accanto all’amico speciale di sempre - Leonardo Di Caprio (con cui ha condiviso sincere lacrime di gioia per il recente Oscar) tra varie nomination e una miriade di riconoscimenti fino al nuovissimo The Dressmaker, con il suo impegno e talento rappresenta davvero un’icona di stile ed eleganza contemporanea.

In Dungatar everyone knows Tilly. Obtuse, nosy, fractious and not prone to socialize, everyone defends a precarious equilibrium, fully aware that no secret is truly safe. Tilly’s return to town rocks this precarious balance.

The threat is dressed in strange and exotic fabrics, arrived from France to here in cases full of fabrics. Sergeant Farrat (Hugo Weaving) is the first to note how lovingly and passionately Tilly brings her creations to life, made of silks and precious threads. He’s the one who plays the role of go-between for Tilly and the other inhabitants of the town, who have not forgotten the tragedy for which they have always blamed Tilly - to the extent to force her to leave and exile herself in France. Tilly feels that she has been wrongly accused, but she does not have a clear memory of what happened. The inhabitants of Dungatar, attracted by her incredible qualities, will more or less knowingly help her to reconstruct the mosaic of truth, piece after piece. The wonderful clothes that she creates will become a weapon against her attackers. But revenge has a high price to pay. Winslet reminisces: “When I first read the script, I noted how this woman was so different from all the others. There’s an incredible strength in her, at times almost aggressive; she’s a woman who has had to face up to important challenges to become who she is.”

“Tilly is Australian and I’ve always liked to interpret characters who come from far countries. I let myself be carried away by her story, by her being surrounded by the inhabitants of Dungatar, to the extent that during shooting we also called upon some of its inhabitants – her story moves on an ironic, entertaining background. It’s a dark comedy, at times strange, that paints a fascinating relationship between mother and daughter. It’s the whole of all these elements that won me over.”

Kate says that she adored wearing marvelous clothes with a great history, they call to mind the 1950’s in which Dior, Vionnet and Balenciaga forever changed the concept of fashion and female garments.

Le mie impressioni sul servizio fotografico sono molto buone, il luogo in cui è stato realizzato è sicuramente una delle SPA più belle che io abbia visto, curata in ogni dettaglio, un’atmosfera unica a pochi km dal centro di Roma.

Il fotografo ha saputo coniugare l’aspetto estetico dettato dagli abiti, collocandoli senza forzature nel contesto delle terme, facendoci sentire liberi di interpretare gli abiti e le situazioni.

Ne è risultato un ottimo connubio di moda, confort e recitazione.

La mia compagna di viaggio, che non conoscevo, ha un’eleganza e al tempo stesso una forza espressiva non comune, professionale e instancabile.

This experience for me was very impressive, the shooting location it’s one of the most beautiful SPA I have ever seen, every detail is accurated, the atmosphere is unique and it is so close from the city center too.

The photographer was able to combine the aesthetics dictated by clothing, well placing them in the Spa context, but we were just free of performing clothes and situations.

The result was a great mix of fashion, comfort and acting.

Ad attendermi ho trovato una troupe stupenda, appassionata del proprio lavoro e con la voglia di creare qualcosa di speciale insieme a me e a Giorgio. È stato un set diverso dai soliti shooting fotografici.

I woke up early to go on the set just outside the City Centre, in an extraordinary place full of magic in a rainy day, where I forgot the time, the stress of every days, the city traffic.

Waiting for me I found a wonderful crew, passionate for their work and with the desire to create something special together, with Giorgio and me.

It was a different set from the usual photo shooting.

We have shared a long day but a great desire to experiment, to play and to have fun together.

The range is now enhanced with three new automatic extensions, in a choice of stainless steel or light yellow-gold PVD case. Released in a wearable 38mm size, the most striking element of these new watches is the eclectic mix of indexes, iconic elements from Gucci fashion universe. Traditional numerals are replaced by different symbols in a light yellow-gold color: delicate bees and stars are mixed with plain indexes and a single heart is seen at 7 o’clock. Il nuovissimo e prezioso modello SERPENTI INCANTATI rinnova interamente questo tema attraverso un design moderno e un’originale reinterpretazione di una storica creazione d’Alta Gioielleria della Maison. Un rettile ammaliante - il serpente appartiene tradizionalmente al bestiario dell’Antica Roma ed è un must delle collezioni orologiere di Bvlgari -cela un quadrante segreto e un movimento svizzero d’alta precisione nella testa. Quadrante nero e indici luminescenti e la lancetta dei secondi può essere bianca, blu o gialla. Impermeabile fino a 300 m, ha un fondello avvitato personalizzato con una stella marina incisa. Il modello ha un cinturino integrato in gomma nera o un bracciale in acciaio con chiusura brevettata. A tutto ciò si associano però canoni estetici e tecnici insoliti ( come la data a ore 3 non frequente in un subacqueo) che lo rendono adatto ad un look più classico e casual chic, dunque portabilissimo ogni giorno.

During the 1950s Eberhard & Co launched the SCAFOGRAF collection, designed for a dynamic man who loves challenges and thesea with its mysterious depths. In 2016 the new Scafograf 300 appers, a mechanical, self-winding diving watch, with a 43 mm steel case, an unidirectional rotating bezel in ceramic, with luminescent markings, curved sapphire glass. The “galbé” black dial has luminescent applied indices.

The central seconds hand and the dots can be white, blue or yellow. The hours and minutes hands are also luminescent.

Water-resistant to 300 m, the new SCAFOGRAF 300 has a screwed case-back personalized with an engraved starfish. The model comes with an integrated black rubber strap or a Chassis® steel bracelet . But the new model has a different design and technical details too (such as data at 3 o'clock, not so usual in a dive watch) which make it more classic and casual chic, for everyday use.

Tag Heuer Il cronografo HEUER MONZA celebra 40 anni di storia: 1976-2016. Un anniversario speciale festeggiato con una splendida riedizione che rispecchia il DNA di questo iconico orologio. Nel 1976, Jack Heuer, bisnipote del fondatore della Maison, disegna un cronografo per celebrare il 1° titolo di campione del mondo di Niki Lauda con la Ferrari. La Maison orologiera svizzera in quegli anni era Cronometrista Ufficiale della Scuderia. È la prima volta che la scritta Monza compare sul quadrante di un orologio.

Molto diverso per l’epoca: un cronografo interamente nero, dotato di pulsometro per misurare il battito cardiaco e di scala tachimetrica per convertire il tempo in velocità, con lancette e contatori rossi per evocare il suo appeal racing, fu un successo. Oggi un ritorno alle origini: la riedizione 2016 riprende le due funzioni chiave di questo orologio, con pulsometro e scala ed esibisce lo stesso carattere originale. Ovviamente, la celebre cassa coussin originale è protagonista, un’icona oltre il tempo.

The HEUER MONZA chronograph celebrates 40 years of history: 1976-2016. A special anniversary celebrated with a splendid remake which reflects the DNA of this iconic watch. In 1976, Jack Heuer, great-grandson of the founder of the Maison, designed a chronograph to celebrate the first prize as world champion of Niki Lauda with his Ferrari. At that time the Swiss watch-making Maison was the Official Timekeeper of the team. It’s the first time that the word Monza appears on the face of a watch. Very different for that time: a wholly black chronograph, equipped with a pulsometer to measure heart beats and a tachymeter to convert time in speed, with red counters and hands to call to mind its racing appeal, and it was a success. Today a return to the origins: The 2016 version highlights the two key functions of this watch, with pulsometer and scale and shows the same original character. Obviously the famous cousin case is the star, an icon beyond time.

Omega Lo SPEEDMASTER MOONPHASE MASTER CHRONOMETER noto per essere stato il primo orologio indossato sulla luna, come Master Chronometer celebra un ulteriore momento pionieristico: il nuovo straordinario standard di test Omega stabilito alla fine del 2015 dall’ Istituto Federale Svizzero di Misurazione (METAS). Fedele al suo nome, il segnatempo mostra le fasi lunari che diversamente dalle credenze popolari sono di 29 giorni e mezzo e non di 30. Un intervallo di tempo difficile da calcolare per ingranaggi standard, ma l’Omega Moonphase è all’altezza del compito. Il meccanismo infatti è così preciso che richiede di essere regolato dopo 10 anni attraverso pochi giri della corona. Il dettaglio che colpisce maggiormente di questo nuovo segnatempo è la rappresentazione della luna, mai prima d’ora così realistica, ad uno sguardo più ravvicinato rivela addirittura l’impronta di un’astronauta. L’orologio è perfettamente bilanciato anche dal punto di vista estetico con due sotto-quadranti gemelli capaci di creare una simmetria perfetta. Il quadrante è blu spazzolato, la lunetta in ceramica e la cassa in acciaio.

The SPEEDMASTER MOONPHASE MASTER CHRONOMETER, known for being the first watch worn on the moon, as Master Chronometer celebrates another pioneering accomplishment: the new extraordinary standard of test Omega established at the end of 2015 by the Istituto Federale Svizzero di Misurazione (METAS). Faithful to its name, the timepiece shows the lunar phases which contrary to popular belief are of 29 and a half days and not 30. An interval of time difficult to calculate for standard movements but the Omega Moonphase rises to the occasion. The mechanism in fact is so precise that it only needs to be regulated after ten years through a few turns of the drown. The detail that is so striking in this new timepiece is the representation of the moon, never before so realistic, at a close glance the footprint of an astronaut is visible. In questo caso, infatti dopo la ben nota sede di Via del Babuino e la più recente Cola di Rienzo, ora è la volta dell’opening di Via Condotti 55, che diviene un altro salotto buono dell’alta gioielleria e orologeria mondiale.

La storica via del lusso, ora ospita il terzo flagship store a Roma del famoso brand americano che da oltre 175 anni fa sognare intere generazioni di donne, in Italia e non solo.

Posso dire di aver sperimentato in primis questa sensazione incredibile, in un pomeriggio uggioso tra le varie riunioni di lavoro e spostamenti, mi sono imbattuta in questa piacevole novità su via Condotti. Davanti alle vetrine come Audrey non ho resistito e sono entrata. Che atmosfera di pace! Inoltre sono stata davvero coccolata. Ditemi voi se non è un vero lusso prendere un caffè da Tiffany a Via Condotti mentre si ammirano le storiche collezioni Atlas o T o il Tiffany setting.

Forse non tutti sanno che quest’anno l’iconico anello di fidanzamento, emblema della maison, compie 130 anni. Era il 1886 quando Charles Tiffany ha presentato il Tiffany Setting, da allora divenuto simbolo di un amore unico e speciale, e allo stesso tempo memoria della solida eredità e reputazione di Tiffany nel campo dell’artigianalità e dei diamanti. Caroline Naggiar, Chief Marketing Officer di Tiffany & Co. ha ribadito che “non c’è modo migliore per celebrare il 130° anniversario di questo anello, che rendere omaggio ai suoi creatori”. I can say I experienced by myself this incredible feeling, in a wet afternoon between various business meetings and trips, I came across this nice Via Condotti novelty. Looking the windows like Audrey I could not resist and I entered. What atmosphere of peace! Also it was really relaxing and like a sweet hug. Alberto Noè a proposito di tale partnership racconta: “Questa scelta del Gallia è stata come una vera tempesta perfetta, un incontro speciale al momento giusto. Noi stavamo cercando una location molto identificativa della città, e loro un partner per la SPA in occasione del re-opening. Ci siamo incontrati con Marco Olivieri, da subito grande empatia, e inoltre abbiamo capito che l’intento di entrambi era quello di voler realizzare qualcosa di unico ed irripetibile. E oggi siamo qui a raccontarlo. Anzi la SPA a maggio festeggia proprio il suo primo compleanno e il primo bilancio di questo inizio può dirsi super positivo. While a whole newspaper page would not suffice to list the most representative (and acclaimed) Italian super chefs: from Carlo Cracco to Davide Scabin (who opened the congress, gifted and provoking as always), from Massimiliano Alajmo to Massimo Bottura, from Moreno Cedroni to Enrico Crippa, from Niko Romito to Enrico Bartolini, Andrea Berton, Ciccio Sultano, Mauro Uliassi, Corrado Assenza, Claudio Sadler... Among the most attended debates was the one on our national dish, with the meaningful title: the star, unreachable dream for a pizza? After having listened to nearly 30 speakers, with relative contaminations between pure pizza makers and generalized chefs, one would also expect recognition for this masterpiece of Neapolitan cooking.

Della sezione dolci, tante delizie in progress. Un esempio? Il dessert firmato da Michele Abbatemarco, pasticcere del ristorante di Michel Troisgros a Tokyo, a base di prodotti locali giapponesi, accostati al bergamotto e al cioccolato. Come conferma Gianluca Fusto, uno dei maestrri della pasticceria italiana, “abbiamo a che fare con un talento commovente. Alcuni dei dolci più buoni della mia vita li ho mangiati da Michele”. La sua lezione non poteva che avere nel titolo la parola Omakase, in giapponese “libertà di esecuzione”.

To further enrich the Milanese three-day congress were the indepth sessions on Champagne, cheese, panettone, coffee, and the opportunity for connoisseurs to frequent the Identità Golose School, much appreciated abc of name cooking, 18 free sessions, in which the chefs displayed their best talents. The symbolic dish of this edition, truly innovative and very much appreciated, and which really represents the spirit of Identità Golose, To Bee or not to Bee, original and fun tripe decorated in bee smocking by Cristina Bowerman, heart and soul of Glass Hostaria in Rome.

In the sweets sector, many delights in the works. An example?

The dessert created by Michele Abbatemarco, pastry chef with Michel Troisgros’ restaurant in Tokyo, using local Japanese products, next to bergamot and chocolate. As Gianluca Fusto (one of the masters of Italian pastry chefs) confirms, “We are in the presence of a true talent. Some of the best sweets I’ve ever eaten were those I ate at Michele’s”. His lesson just had to have the Japanese wordOmakase in the title “Freedom of execution”.

A COLLOQUIO CON GABRIELE ANTINOLFI, DIRETTORE DELLA CINETECA NAZIONALE: DALLA CONSERVAZIONE DEI MATERIALI NELLO STORICO ARCHIVIO ALLE RECENTI ATTIVITÀ DI COMUNICAZIONE. LA SINTESI DI UNA STORIA LUNGA 80 ANNI. Da svariati decenni intere generazioni di cineasti italiani e internazionali si sono formate nelle sue aule e sono passate nei suoi teatri di posa. Per il suo ottantesimo compleanno la Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, ubicata a Cinecittà di fronte ai celebri Studios e rilevante settore del Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia ha ricevuto un regalo importante: diventerà corso di laurea! I ministri Dario Franceschini (MIBACT) e Stefania Giannini (MIUR) si sono infatti recati di persona al Centro per presentare e dichiarare l’equipollenza del diploma del CSC al titolo di laurea. L’insegnamento proposto si articola in svariate discipline - regia, sceneggiatura, recitazione, costume, fotografia, montaggio, suono, produzione, scenografia - e per accedervi si deve superare un ambitissimo concorso che seleziona solo una manciata di studenti a corso, ottimo stimolo per competere in un ambiente costruito, oltre che sulla tecnica, sul singolo talento.

CENTRO SPERIMENTALE DI CINEMATOGRAFIA: A WHOLLY MADE IN ITALY EXCELLENCE A CHAT WITH GABRIELE ANTINOLFI, DIRECTOR OF THE CINETECA NAZIONALE: FROM THE PRESERVATION OF MATERIALS IN THE HISTORICAL ARCHIVES TO RECENT COMMUNICATIONS. A SYNTHESIS OF 80 YEARS OF HISTORY. Entire generations of Italian and international movie-makers for several decades have absorbed concepts in its classrooms and have learned the ins and outs of its sets. For its 80th birthday the Scuola Nazionale di Cinema, located in Cinecittà in front of the famous Studios and important sector of the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia received a significant gift: it will become a degree course!

Ministers Dario Franceschini (MIBACT) and Stefania Giannini (MIUR) in fact recently personally visited the Centro to present and declare the equivalence of the CSC diploma to a degree diploma.The courses studied are varied - directing, screenplay, acting, costumes, photography, editing, sound, production, scenic design – and to enroll one must pass a severe test that selects only a handful of students at a time, an excellent incentive to compete in a constructive context, as well as on techniques, on individual talent.

Ad affiancare la Scuola, da sempre, è presente, all’interno di una costruzione a forma di pagoda (ex mensa degli operai che hanno costruito il centro), la prestigiosa Cineteca Nazionale, archivio filmico istituito nel 1949 che ha il compito di preservare e diffondere il patrimonio cinematografico italiano.

Abbiamo incontrato il direttore della Cineteca, Gabriele Antinolfi, che ci ha parlato della fervente attività del suo spazio duplicato da qualche anno - per proiezioni, rassegne ed incontri - nel centro storico di Roma, all’interno degli spazi archeologici del Cinema Trevi.

Quali sono i principali obiettivi di questa nuova direzione?

Alla normale attività tradizionale, a cui assolve da anni la Cineteca per soddisfare le richieste di studenti, operatori ed organizzatori, il nuovo corso ha aggiunto particolare attenzione ai sempre più numerosi festival che animano la vita culturale del paese lontano dai grandi centri, ponendosi come coproduttore e stabilendo interessanti partnership che possano far conoscere la mission e le iniziative della Cineteca. Recentemente, ad esempio, siamo stati presenti al Vasto Film Festival con la mostra “Bellezze al bagno” di Angelo Frontoni e con alcuni film, e al Festival di Spello con la mostra “Francesco nel cinema”, oltre alle compartecipazioni con le più antiche rassegne di Formia, Bari e Lecce.

Come comunicate le vostre iniziative al grande pubblico?

Questo è un argomento che mi sta a cuore perché proprio da quest’anno abbiamo lanciato in rete i nostri canali di social network Twitter (@CinetecaN), Facebook (Cineteca Nazionale) e Instagram (cineteca_nazionale), curati dal nostro ufficio Marketing e Comunicazione, che in pochi mesi hanno avuto una risposta del 3000%.

Chi può avere accesso all’interno della Cineteca Nazionale?

Per questioni burocratiche e anche di sicurezza solo il nostro validissimo staff. Sono qui conservate infatti centinaia e centinaia di pellicole nello storico formato 35 mm ma ci stiamo adeguando al nuovo DCP che permette di conservare l’intero hardware di un’opera. I materiali sono conservati in comparti sigillati da porte a tenuta stagna con particolari situazioni di umidità e temperatura (0 gradi per quelle a colori, 4/5 gradi per quelle in bianco e nero). Vi sono poi opere più antiche realizzate in nitrato d’argento, per cui molto infiammabili: queste ultime, a cui hanno accesso in pochi del nostro staff, sono ubicate all’interno di appositi cellari in magazzini esterni alla Cineteca. Un lavoro, quello della conservazione, di precisione, affidato alla responsabilità di uno dei nostri maggiori esperti tecnici, Sergio Bruno.

La Cineteca si occupa inoltre, da anni, del restauro di grandi capolavori ed opere “minori” che - in collaborazione con istituzioni pubbliche e private - vengono presentate in prima nell’ambito di importanti rassegne cinematografiche come Cannes e Venezia.

As well as the Scuola, inside a pagoda-shaped building (the former cafeteria for the workers who built the center) there has always been the prestigious Cineteca Nazionale, film archive instituted in 1949 to preserve and spread the Italian cinematographic patrimony.

We met with the Director of the Cineteca, Gabriele Antinolfi, who spoke to us of the fervent activities in the space which in recent years has been duplicated (for projections, shows and encounters) in the center of Rome, inside the archeological area of the Cinema Trevi.

What are the principal objectives of this new management?

In addition to traditional activities, to which for many years the Cineteca has dedicated its efforts to meet the requests of students, operators and organizers, the new course has added special attention to the ever more frequent festivals that liven the country’s cultural life far from the large cities, placing itself as co-producer and establishing interesting partnerships that help to spread the Cineteca’s mission and initiatives. For example, we recently participated in the Vasto Film Festival and the exhibition “Bellezze al bagno” by Angelo Frontoni along with other films, and the Festival di Spello with the exhibition “Francesco nel cinema”, as well as other participations in the older exhibitions in Formia, Bari and Lecce.

How do you publicize your initiatives to the general public?

This is a subject that is dear to my heart because this year in fact we got our feet wet with social network channels Twitter (@CinetecaN), Facebook (Cineteca Nazionale) and Instagram (cineteca_nazionale), curated by our Marketing and Communication Department, which in just a few months gave feedback of 3000%.

Who can gain access to the Cineteca Nazionale?

For bureaucratic and security reasons, only our trustworthy staff. In fact this is where hundreds and hundreds of tapes in the historical 35 mm format are stored but we are also making organizational plans to adapt the new DCP which will enable us to preserve the entire hardware of a particular work. The materials are preserved in areas sealed shut by airtight doors with particular levels of humidity and temperature (0° for color tapes, 4/5° for those in black and white). Then there are even older works realized in silver nitrate, consequently very inflammable: these works, to which only a very few of our staff have access, are located in special cells in warehouses not on Cineteca property. Preservation is a very painstaking, precision task, entrusted to the care of one of our best technical experts, Sergio Bruno.

Moreover, for years now the Cineteca restores great masterpieces and “minor” works which, in collaboration with public and private institutions, are shown first in the context of important cinematographic exhibitions such as Cannes and Venice.

Come fare però per poter visionare le pellicole?

Gran parte del nostro archivio è stato riversato in formati accessibili al pubblico che puo’ prenotare un appuntamento nella nostra Videoteca e visionare il film richiesto. Abbiamo molte richieste, non solo dagli studenti e non solo - per fortuna - dagli appassionati italiani!

La Cineteca Nazionale possiede anche un Archivio foto e manifesti dedicato all’iconografia cinematografica, con una collezione, in parte informatizzata, di oltre un milione e mezzo di fotografie e circa 50.000 pezzi di corredo pubblicitario tra locandine, fotobuste e manifesti. Anche in questo caso siamo a disposizione per le richieste più specifiche...

Ultimamente vi siete allargati sul territorio nazionale decentralizzando la Cineteca anche in settori e luoghi specifici.

Abbiamo deciso di creare dei centri specifici per la produzione e conservazione del settore, come l’Archivio Nazionale Cinema di Ivrea, inaugurato nel 2006. Anche la Scuola è molto attiva avendo realizzato una sede in Abruzzo dedicata al reportage televisivo, un corso di Cinema d’Impresa in Lombardia, un corso di Animazione in Piemonte e corsi dedicati al documentario in Sicilia. Voglio anche ricordare che in ambito editoriale collaboriamo alla realizzazione di numerose monografie ela nostra Biblioteca Chiarini, fondata nel 1935 - che accoglie tra l’altro le tesi di laurea dedicate agli argomenti a noi inerenti - è la più grande struttura specializzata in ambito cinematografico esistente in Italia.

But how can one see the films?

A large part of our archive has been copied into formats accessible to the public who can make an appointment with our Videoteca and see the film requested. We have many requests, not just from students, and luckily from many Italian fans!

Recently you have increased your presence in the country by decentralizing the Cineteca also in specific sectors and locations.

We decided to create specific centers for production and preservation of the sector, such as the Archivio Nazionale Cinema di Ivrea, inaugurated in 2006. The Scuola too is very active, having realized a branch in Abruzzo dedicated to television reporting, a course on Cinema d’Impresa in Lombardy, a course on Animation in Piedmont and courses dedicated to documentaries in Sicily.

I would also like to mention that in the publishing sector we collaborate in the realization of numerous monographs and our Biblioteca Chiarini, founded in 1935 (which among other things houses dissertations dedicated to subjects pertaining to us) is the largest specialized structure in Italy in a cinematographic context.
