Exposé Travel – Your one-stop shop for all Housewares exhibitions worldwide.
EXPOSÉ TRAVEL specialises in travel to housewares and related shows worldwide. We have been offering some very special rates for flights and hotels to the many exhibitions that take place in different parts of the world and work with small boutique housewares suppliers and retailers right up to the biggest companies on the show floor. We are also the exclusive travel partner to the Max Group of Companies, owners of The Excellence In Housewares Awards, Progressive Housewares, and HousewaresNews.net
Dear Friends and Clients,
First and foremost, may I wish all of tonight’s awards nominees the very best of luck! Your commitment to excellent housewares product, retail and service truly is outstanding.
As the industry’s specialist travel agent , you may have my services in the past, or I may not be known to you – in which case I would love to connect.
I am also the official travel agent for the Inspired Home Show, Chicago – and proud to be so. We are ready to take your requests for forward travel plans and we realise that, during the continuing uncertainty in the world, your priority will be on the cancellation terms, and the protection you want if things do go awry once more. (But fingers crossed, eh?)
And that is why now, more than ever, I encourage you to use our services as a housewares industry specialist.
Exposé can be your one-stop-shop for flights and hotels (plus everything in-between) and you will know that you can speak to me at any time, any day - if there are fresh travel problems
- you won’t be on hold to a call centre to try and unravel bookings and fight for refunds for months on end.
You will speak to me, and I will be your personal point of contact.
You’ll also be talking to a man who visits the same shows – Ambiente, Exclusively, Inspired Home Show, Hong Kong and more – so I really do know about the best hotels and routes – I’ve walked those walks.
Again, my best wishes to all nominees and indeed the industry as a whole. We deal with one-man companies right up to 100+ person bookings for the biggest housewares suppliers and retailers.
And, if I can keep Rob Willis happy with his demanding travel requirements, I’m sure I can help you!
Sincerely
Paul Vasdev: +44(0)1883 349576 paul@exposetravel.uk www.exposetravel.ukWELCOME
Hello and welcome to The Excellence in Housewares Awards 2023. You’re about to have an evening to remember of fun, laughter, celebration, honour and camaraderie. You made it here despite National Rail and London Underground’s best efforts, so let’s make sure it’s one to remember.
We would like to extend the warmest welcome to the 24th Excellence in Housewares Awards this evening. As always, Progressive Housewares is delighted to be able to bring the industry together again for tonight’s celebrations, and for what really is your evening to shine. Whether you’re a finalist or not, and whether you take home a trophy tonight, you’re all winners in our eyes. Your collective innovation, customer service, support and general all-round brilliance, is what makes the housewares industry what it is. We’re so excited for this evening’s event and to find out who is bestowed with the Excellence in Housewares honours this year.
2023 has once again seen suppliers and retailers alike really get behind the awards and make their voices heard about those businesses which are going above and beyond in all areas of the industry. So thank you so much for all of your input. The finalists this year, as always, set the bar high and provide inspiration for us all for the year to come.
Tonight we celebrate those products which answer questions in the home, and make consumers lives easier and more enjoyable, as well as those that have become iconic over the years. We also honour retailers from indies to multiples, who go the extra mile in presenting those products, engaging consumers with them, delivering and displaying them. And finally, we commemorate a select few of the people who spearhead the housewares sector and who have achieved incredible things in their careers.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to our sponsors. Without your support, tonight simply wouldn’t be possible.
As part of our collaboration with gia (Global Innovation Awards), organised by the International Housewares Association (IHA) and The Inspired Home Show, one retailer this evening will win a fabulous trip to Chicago to represent the UK in the international celebration of housewares retailers.
We’re also delighted to be joined this evening by industry associations, BIRA
and BHETA, as well as our fantastic industry charity, The Rainy Day Trust. Thanks so much to all those who have kindly donated raffle prizes, the proceeds of which will go to support The Rainy Day Trust and the licensing industry charity, The Light Fund.
Last year, on this evening, my wonderful predecessor, Jo Howard, stepped down and I’ve now walked a full year in her shoes and am thrilled to be joining you all here again tonight. You’ve all extended the warmest welcome to me over the past 12 months, which I can’t thank you enough for. It’s been wonderful to be able to get to know so many of you and I’m hugely looking forward to seeing what you all pull out of the bag to make the judging process as tricky again next year as I know it was this time.
Have the most amazing evening.
