Word from the Mayor As mayor, it has been a humbling experience to serve my community that I have been a resident of 30+ years. I am proud to note the past, present, and future ventures that I have taken for the better of our city’s economic system, workforce, and residents. As many of you know, I am running for re-election this November and I hope community members continue to support me and the direction I believe you want to see our community continuing to move forward. Updates Mayor Robertson’s Campaign is Seeking Volunteers “Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.� Are you interested in gaining experience working for a political candidate? Are you passionate about local government? Do you want to support a candidate you believe will bring change to your community? If you answered yes to any of the above, Mayor Robertson is looking for someone like you to be apart of her campaign team.Volunteers are active leaders and the ultimate drivers in a successful political campaign. Volunteering is the best way to get involved with your community while helping with duties to get Mayor Robertson getting reelected! First “Taco Tuesday and Texting” a Success!
We would like to thank everyone who participated in our first Taco Tuesday and Texting. This event was an opportunity to get to know prospective volunteers for the mayor’s re-election campaign. It was an enjoyable time and we hope to see more faces at the next Taco Tuesday and Texting, happening September 8th.
