EVENT 2021 CALENDAR 1 JUL

THURSDAY

Canada Day

1 JUL

THURSDAY

Memorial Day

On July 1, 1867, Canada became a self-governing dominion of Great Britain and a federation of four provinces: Nova Scotia; New Brunswick; Ontario; and Quebec. The anniversary of this date was called Dominion Day until 1982. Since 1983, July 1 has been officially known as Canada Day.

Memorial Day is observed together with Canada Day in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador on July 1 each year. Memorial Day commemorates the brave efforts of the province’s veterans, particularly those who participated in World War I.

9 JUL

FRIDAY

Nunavut Day

12 JUL

MONDAY

Orangemen's Day

Nunavut Day, which is annually celebrated on July 9, commemorates passing of two Nunavut acts. The Canadian Parliament passed the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act and the Nunavut Act on July 9, 1993. Nunavut officially split from the Northwest Territories and became a Canadian territory on April 1, 1999.

Orangemen's Day commemorates the Battle of the Boyne, which took place in 1690 outside Drogheda, now in the Republic of Ireland. It is a provincial holiday in Newfoundland and Labrador on the Monday closest to July 12.

18 JUL

SUNDAY

Tisha B'Av

20 JUL

TUESDAY

Eid ul Adha

Many Jewish Canadians observe Tisha B’Av, which is the ninth day of the month of Av in the Jewish calendar. It is a day to remember various events such as the destruction of the First Temple and Second Temple in Jerusalem. When Tisha B’Av falls on Shabbat (Saturday), it is moved to Sunday, 10th of Av.

Eid al-Adha is a significant annual Islamic observance for many Muslims in Canada. It is also known as the Feast of Sacrifice or Festival of Sacrifice as it commemorates Ibrahim’s (Abraham) willingness to sacrifice his son to God.

that could simplify how your customers order from the combination of many common products. It will reduce your shipping costs and can as well raise your average order value.

CUSTOMER’S FEEDBACK REGARDS TO THEIR NEEDS: While growing your business and part of the strategies of business growth, it’s vital to know customer’s feedback regards to their needs. Also while measuring a particular product’s performance it’s highly critical to know the feedback of customers. This can be in form of performance reports, surveys, and questionnaires as well as online surveys regarding a product. It shall turn out to be a huge plus for the investors and entrepreneurs to know how much risk they can take. Customers are the ultimate audience who are the opinion generators regards to a product or service, and their opinions matter in every possible ways. They are the ones who can make or break a product after it is launched and can be the sustainable stakeholders. This is especially true when it comes to expanding your product, service tiers, or even elements like customer service. Use the e-mail and other IT Tools to simply and rapidly ask your customers directly what they need. Alternatively, what they would like from you in the longer run regards to product portfolio. You as an entrepreneur just have to study their experience very closely.

A HIGHER FOCUS ON CUSTOMER RETENTION STRATEGIES: For entrepreneurial growth it is also important to have a higher focus on customer retention strategies. This is quiet meaningful as customer retention ends up being a detrimental part of the future growth strategies. Entrepreneurial success is highly focused on customer retention and how customers find the business growth irrespective of being old or new customers. A comprehensive CRM system is a vital part of the retention strategies for customers. Just consider a simple thank-you e-mail which will always bring back the customers back to you. Thanks to most CRM and e-mail systems that will definitely keep telling you how long someone has been a customer. Helps setting priorities in terms of customer importance and their preferences. Being a key part of the business strategies of growth for entrepreneurs the long term customers are more likely to leave a positive review, especially when you request them. These can also turn into a vast referral network especially with a huge boost for future.

today. We know that it’s the right way to bring the brand into the future. We can’t only look in the rearview mirror.

What role has mentorship played in developing your career to this point? I was very lucky during my career, because I had great bosses. I consider them my role models. I had managers that were a lot more detailed about execution, and some with a lot of emotional intelligence. I learned so much from all of them. There are some leaders who try to make a career by criticizing others—saying, “Oh, I would do that job better.” I always try to help my staff and create the best conditions for their promotion. It has always been my belief that if I do my job properly, that will naturally happen.

What practices do you have in place to keep you dreaming big? I think it’s about being very open to the world because, as I said, it is changing very rapidly. I also try to connect with younger generations, and get a bit out of my comfort zone and routine. When I started in the industry, it was all about going from A to B more quickly than anyone else. Now, everybody is going the same pace on the road, so it’s all about design, engineering and efficiency. You need to understand the driving factors behind change. I spent some time in China to learn about retail—the luxury sector, in particular, and what is changing in fashion and cosmetics—as a way to understand where consumer demand is going. Two years ago, I took an extensive management program at MIT in Boston. It’s just about always learning—and not just when you’re a student. It has to be a lifestyle.
