Happy Valentines Day!
Letter from the GM Dear MCC Members, Please know that we have updated the club’s telephone system. One upgrade is the fact that members can now dial extensions directly, please see the staff directory in the back of the newsletter. The main number remains the same, but now you can dial directly. My direct number is 956-843-0516 and my cell is 561-866-1347. Also, worth noting is the calendar insert in this month’s newsletter. A special thank you to Brittanie, the Club’s Marketing and Membership Director, who put it together. We tried to capture significant events and put them in the calendar, but as we all know, things change. If and when dates change, we will let you know. I think it is a great tool to help you plan the year at your Club. Be sure to stick it on your fridge like I did. And, very importantly, the Board via the House Committee has approved an updated dress code policy for the Oak Room: *Men are required to wear a collared shirt (untucked is now permitted)
*Jeans are permitted (torn jeans are not permitted) *No shorts for evening dining allowed (lunch is permitted, but not Sunday Brunch) *Flip Flops are not permitted *Men’s hats and caps are not permitted *Tank tops & cut-off shorts are not permitted Unless the offense is egregious, members and their guests who violate the dress code will not be confronted by management. A log will be kept indicating violators, and a reminder letter will be sent by the House Committee. Additional offenses will lead to harsher consequences. Please know that your help in this matter is truly appreciated. As always, when you are making dining plans, consider putting your club at the top of the list. Where else can you get good food, good service, a table with a beautiful view, no waiting to be seated, and a room lively with friends and family? MCC is where. I look forward to seeing you at your club,
-Jeff

Fitness at MCC Dear MCC Members, I hope everyone had a terrific start to the New Year and is well on their way toward their 2018 fitness goals. As expected, the New Year brought many new faces (as well as some old ones) back into the fitness center. If you are one of the many that have been working diligently on your resolution to achieve better health, congratulations. Stay focused, stay ambitious, and keep your eyes on the prize. If you are one of the many that have already faltered in your attempt to get fit, come see us. Let Tunji, Keila, and I help show you the path to wellness. All you need is a positive attitude, personal commitment, and we will push you in the right direction. For those that need a little more support, I encourage you to meet with one of our personal trainers. Not only can our Fitness staff develop fitness programs, but we may also educate you on proper nutrition. Balanced nutrition is truly the cornerstone of all weight loss programs. Let us counsel you on how to read appropriate portion sizes, how to plan meals, and how to make healthier choices overall. In good health,

Cabernet Sauvignon 2014
Pinot Noir 2014
The 2014 Bench Cabernet Sauvignon exudes a deep, dark purple color in the glass. The nose is vibrant with violets, huckleberry and a touch of vanilla spice. The palate is elegantly wound with dusty tannins and a supple, velvet texture. The long, seamless finish ebbs and flows with flavors of black currant, dark cocoa and black forest floor.
Deep, dark ruby in color, this wine offers aromas of ripe fig, pumpkin seed and strawberry coulis. The palate is tightly focused with flavors of bright currant, cola and a hint of pungent, wild mushroom. The mouth feel is supple yet structured with well integrated tannins that provide the integrity for this charming wine.
