After a name change and its debut at Raleigh Country Club last year, the Korn Ferry Tour’s UNC Health Championship returns to Donald Ross’ final golf course design. Raleigh’s course is currently ranked No. 27 on Golf Digest’s list of the best golf courses in North Carolina The UNC Health Championship is the Korn Ferry Tour’s only stop in North Carolina and is the second leg of back-to-back Korn Ferry Tour events at McConnell Golf properties For tournament and volunteer information, visit www unchealthchampionship com

Country Club golf professional staff is excited to kick off the 2024 golf season! This year, the will have some new events and experiences, and we will continue to build upon the established m our tournaments The Raleigh Country Club golf handbooks have been completed and emailed embership The hard copies are available in the golf shop if you would like to pick one up the next the club.

The spring season is always one of my favorite times throughout the year due to the excitement of new merchandise and golf equipment becoming available This year, we have improved our fitting resources and will continue to have fitting days from the major golf manufacturers throughout the next few months. We will send out emails with the fitting day information and sign-up as we get closer to the fitting days If you would prefer to get fitted by one of the professional staff, please feel free to reach out and schedule a time at your convenience. The golf shop is fully stocked with new men’s, ladies’ and juniors merchandise from Peter Millar, Holderness & Bourne, Johnnie-O, Stitch, and Lululemon

One important factor in playing your best golf is to make sure that the clubs you are playing with are properly fitted for your swing. The loft and lie angles of your clubs are an integral part of having properly fitted equipment This winter, Raleigh Country Club purchased a new Loft and Lie Machine that we will be able to check to make the proper adjustments to your clubs If you are interested in having your clubs checked or want any adjustments to your current setups, please contact the golf shop and schedule a time with one of the professional staff. Also, this is a great time of year to get those grips redone with our “grip madness” during the month of March The golf staff is looking forward to an outstanding spring golf season The golf course will be in excellent condition thanks to Billy Cole and his team If we can assist you in any way, please don’t hesitate to reach out; our door is always open!

Eligibility: Female Members

Entry Fee: $100 per player (includes breakfast, awards luncheon, and prizes)

Format: Two-person teams will play Texas Scramble on the front nine and Best Ball on the back nine Gross and Net prizes will be awarded

Spring Couples’ Golf

Date: Friday, April 19th

Time: 5:00 pm Shotgun

Eligibility: Members

Entry Fee: $100 per couple (includes dinner and prizes)

*Cart Fees Not Included

Format: 9 Hole Captain’s Choice Tournament with dinner following play

Men’s Match Play Championship

Date: Starts Saturday, April 20th

Eligibility: Male Members

Entry Fee: $75 per player (includes prizes)

*Cart Fees Not Included

Format: Individual Net Match Play. Players will compete from the Blue Tee Markers Participants ages 63 and older have the option of playing the White Tee Markers.

Men’s Match Play Gross Championship

Date: Starts Saturday, April 20th

Eligibility: Male Members

Entry Fee: $75 per player (includes prizes)

Format: Individual Gross Match Play. Players must have a handicap index of 7 5 or lower Players will compete from the Burgundy Tee Markers

AMATEUR GOLF CAMP (AGES 6-9)

We have developed the Amateur Golf Camp for juniors that are interested in learning the game This camp will teach juniors the basic fundamentals of the game We will cover putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, rules, and demonstrate the importance of etiquette during on-course play days. When registering your child, please include if he/she will be participating in afternoon activities

PROFESSIONAL GOLF CAMP (AGES 10 & UP)

JULY 16 - 18

HALF DAY: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM | $175

FULL DAY: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM | $300

The Professional Golf Camp is for juniors who have advanced through Raleigh Country Club's junior golf camps in previous years and have the ability to play 9 holes At this level we will provide advanced instruction to juniors using video analysis. Areas of instruction will include putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, rules and etiquette

OPERATION 36 GOLF ACADEMY SPRING SESSION

WEDNESDAYS, MARCH 6 - APRIL 24

Time: 4:30 - 5:30 PM | FEE: $400 for session

Operation 36 is the most effective program to teach our beginning golfers as well as our established junior players who enjoy competition and personal game growth. It is a clear blueprint to go from complete novice to par golfer. The lessons are based around playing on the course right away and moving up in divisions Lastly, the technology that they provide in the app is cutting-edge Each semester is an 8-week program that has weekly classes for an hour and four 9-hole playing events The Kidz Zone will be open for siblings supervised by a parent

In this Challenge Island adventure, the world is being taken over by slime! You and your STEAM Team will ooze with excitement as you visit countries around the globe, making a different kind of slime at each destination, from Italian pizza slime to Antarctic penguin slime to Hawaiian lava slime to tons of other slippery, drippy, gooey, global slimes in between! Stingray practices will be held Monday through Thursday starting at 5:30PM Cost will be $195 for first swimming participant and $165 per additional swimmer Enrollment charges will be billed directly to your member account.
