JUNIOR GOLF All of us here at the Club can’t wait to get our 2020 Junior Golf activities to begin! Unfortunately the Covid-19 crisis has really put a limitation on what we can do here at the Club - but it has been nice to see several junior enjoying golf with their family while following safe practices! At this time we still have our Summer Fun Kids Camps scheduled to go as planned. Look for online registration to be made available once we are assured we can safely resume kids activities at the Club. Once we can safely resume activities, look for new Operation 36 updates to be sent out along with the plan for Junior Interclub. For more information about the details or status of these events, feel free to contact us here at the Club.
JUNIOR INTERCLUB PROGRAM Ages 10-18 l Events Start in July!
OPERATION 36 We are excited to announce our Operation 36 Program is now officially underway with Semester #1 being held the months of June and July. Currently plans for Semester #2 are being finalized to make sure first and foremost we are providing a safe environment for our juniors and staff under current Covid-19 Safety Guidelines as well as announcement on the upcoming school schedule for our kids. We are hoping to expand our Op36 offering to accommodate more juniors, however proper safety and a time frame that works for all is a top priority. Look for an official announcement to be sent out in our Junior Golf Update to the membership. In the meantime, if you have any questions please contact a member of the Golf Shop Staff. You can also use the link below to watch a short video explaining more about the Op36 Program.
The Eastern NC Junior Golf League will be held staring in July, but in a modified form. Due to Covid-19 restrictions and safety concerns, each match will be a "one-on-one" with the clubs in our group (Greenville CC, Ironwood, Ayden CC, and Washington Y&CC). Juniors will participate both individually and as a team with individuals advancing to the League Finals. With the shortened season and limited event fields and offerings, there will be no cost to participate this year! If you have a junior that may be interested, contact the BV Golf Shop Staff. Once the 2020 Schedule is finalized, a Junior Golf Update will be sent out to the membership with more details on the program with dates and times. If you would like to arrange private or small group instruction for your junior (or for yourself), the Golf Staff may now resume giving golf lessons while respecting social distancing guidelines. Please contact the Golf Shop directly to arrange a lesson time.

Summer is in full force and the course is really rounding into great shape. We were able to fertilize several areas on the course and we have seen nice results after a slow grow in process over the spring. Thank you all for your patience during our course aerification. The weather was not our friend during the process, but we were fortunate to get a nice punch on the greens and the results will be well worth it. We look to resume regular verticutting and topdressing of the greens soon. As we continue to operate in a Coronavirus environment, we are hopeful for things to return to normal at some point soon. We are thankful for your support and we look forward to continuing the year maintaining and improving course conditions. Owen Legg Brook Valley Superintendant
