Tee it Up

Well, Happy New Year everyone. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and was able to spend some time with friends and family over the holidays. I'm sure many of you are as glad as I am that 2020 is OVER!!! We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and will keep you up to speed on the latest news and how it may impact our golf operation, your usage of the club and golf course as we get it. As we start a new year, I feel as though we have a great staff in place with Brian Muller and Jordan Tennent as our Assistant Golf Professionals and will be looking to add another great Assistant Professional in 2021. I think we have a good foundation of golf events that we have been able to build on and add to our tournament program for 2021 as well. As we get ready for 2021, here are a few items of note. If you were signed up for any of our Golf Services (bag storage, cart storage, and lockers) in 2020, those will continue in 2021 until you tell us otherwise. Also, the golf calendar for 2021 is complete and you can view it on the club calendar on our website.

Along with getting some usage out of our SkyTrak Golf Simulator, I also encourage you to try to incorporate some fitness into your golf game preparation. If you need some assistance from a fitness standpoint, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or Dennis as both of us are certified by the Titleist Performance Institute and can help you out! SkyTrak: The Winter Golf Solution

Don't let your golf game freeze this winter! Get some usage out of our SkyTrak Golf Simulator and launch monitor during the cold weather. Not only will using the SkyTrak simulator help keep your game up, but it will help improve your game as well! The game improvement system features skills assessments, bag mapping, and practice greens. Improve your accuracy with the multiple data points including ball speed, launch angle, backspin, sidespin, and carry distance. You also have access to play famous courses all over the world!

The Professional Staff is available for golf lessons and club fittings during the winter months when the weather is bad. Contact the Golf Shop for more details and availability.

2021 WELLNESS CHALLENGE

Welcome to 2021 –finally!! Let’s kick off this year with a wellness challenge we can all do! Starting January 1st we will be posting on the McConnell FitnessFacebook page a daily challenge that you and your family can partake in! This could be anything from drinking 8 glasses of water a day to how many push-ups you can do. We will have options to like a post, comment, or answer a poll question and we are going to keep track of the responses. If you comment, post, or like the posts the most we will be entering you in a drawing from your home club for a chance to get some free personal training sessions! Now is the time to kick of 2021 on a good note and start living that healthier lifestyle! Join the fun and keep an eye out daily for these wellness challenges!
