Physical Therapy at CCA

As with most athletics, the hips are the often-forgotten powerhouse of the golf swing A golf swing can be compared to the pulling back and shooting of a rubber band, also known as a stretch-shortening cycle During the backswing, muscles of the lower, middle, and upper body are stretched (increasing potential energy) and then released (shortened or contracted) during the downswing. This potential energy is increased with your ability to wind up the muscles to their full potential, including the optimal mobility in the hips.
