MANAGER'S MESSAGE

DearMembers,

We are in the middle of summer and the temperatures are soaring. Remember to hydrate, and drink plentyofwater Attimes, wedonotrealizewearegettingtoohotuntilit’stoolate

Our Chef Jason Daniels has arrived and has shown off his talent on several occasions, especially during the highly successful “Crown Cup” The weather was perfect for this event, and everybody enjoyed a fantastic golf course, an amazingly well-run tournament by our golf operations team and some great foodanddrinks.

The golf course aeration and bridge replacement are complete, and the heat should bring out the best inourChampionBermudagrassfortheperfectgolfingconditions.

The tennis pergola is currently being rebuilt and many other projects like the pickleball courts are underway. If you are interested in pickleball, reach out to Beck Bond, our Tennis Pro. Beck and Pinkie, the pro shop manager, will get you all set with everything you will need to play The love of the sport hasgrownoverthepastyear, andwewouldlovetoseeyouonthenewcourtssoon

What began as the historical preservation of Donald Ross’ last golf course design in Raleigh, NC, has blossomed into a portfolio of championship courses from the mountains to the coast. Our “pure golf for the true golfer” motto transcends agronomy, sport and culinary disciplines it is a principle lived every day through exceptional facilities and service. The “Pure Golf for the True Golfer” video encapsulates this principle, made in celebration of #NationalGolfDay

@anngelting Love the PCC cardboard regatta tradition!

Putting cures all, but it also can ruin a great ball striking day We highly encourage all of you to spend at least 25% of your practice time putting. Golf Course Update

After a successful June which included Crown Cup, aerification, and bridge work, we now move into the dog days of summer The first half of the year brought us a very normal weather pattern, plenty of rain, and a very good transition out of dormancy Hopefully, the next six months are good to us as well.

With the heat and humidity comes thriving bermudagrass Although we have started sodding some areas around the course, the plan is to use these ideal growing conditions to our advantage and continue to sod out some of the lingering bare spots and eyesores out there Please be mindful of these areas andtheropeandstakesanddonotdrivethroughanynewsod

With the increased rounds of golf over the past few years, we have seen the effects of increased wear and tear on the golf course A simple way we can all help the cause is to avoid using the same traffic patterns as we go about traveling the course on a daily basis Please scatter your golf cart travel and push cart travel by avoiding the use of the same travel paths as everyone else (pathofleastresistance).

Lastly, keeping all four golf cart tires on the cart path while parking at tees andgreensmakesahugedifferenceaswell.

I have been at PCC for 4 months I work in the kitchen as a line cook; however, I do enjoy going out to eat One of my favorite spots to dine is Kpot Korean BBQ Restaurant There, I am actually able to cook because it has a BBQ pit/bowl built into the table. Everyone at the table can choose what they want to cook and for how long. It’s an interactive evening of a culinary delight! I also really enjoy having a slice of cheesecake and some crispy chicken wingseverynowandthen

I was asked who I would like to have dinner with, alive or deceased; I choose my grandpa Unfortunately, he passed when my mom was 15 years old My mom has always spoke very highlyofhimintheshortperiodoftimehewasinherlife.Iwouldlovetobeabletotellmy grandpa how strong my mom has been since he’s been gone and how much she misses him Iwouldjustlovetohaveaconversationwithhim
