The Web.com Tour will teach juniors the basic fundamentals of the game. We will cover putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, rules and demonstrate the importance of etiquette.

ROSS JUNIOR SATURDAY CLINICS July 18, August 22, September 12 2:00pm-3:00pm I $25 per session I Ages 5-14 Ross Junior Saturday Series is for all junior golfers that want the opportunity to continually advance their game throughout the season. Each session will have structured drills/games that work on increasing ability, confidence, and interest in the game of golf.

BRICKS 4 KIDS DRONE CAMP July 21-24 I 9:00am-3:30pm I Age: Age 6 and up $40 a day I Includes snacks, lunch and drinks The sky’s the limit when you join Gear Shifters STEM Explorers to design, build and watch your drone take to the air! Not only do you get to create actual working drones using LEGO Bricks, but you will get to add custom motors, propellers, circuit boards and wiring to make it take flight! Campers will learn the basics with a 4-rotor design and work their up to an 8–rotor working drone creation!

PGA TOUR GOLF CAMP July 21-23 I 9:00am-12:00pm I $175 I Ages 9 and Up PGA Tour is for juniors who have advanced through Raleigh Country Club's junior golf camps in previous years and have the ability to play 9 holes. At the PGA Junior Tour level we will provide advanced instruction to juniors using video analysis. Areas of instruction will include putting, chipping, pitching, bunker, full swing, rules and etiquette.

Our instructors will teach the basic fundamentals all the way through to more advanced instruction and drills to help each junior improve their golf game and have more fun while teeing it up on the course.

TEE IT UP HOLE IN ONE! As we count down the days to the re-opening of our Donald Ross gem, a few of our Raleigh Country Club Members have already made their mark on 2020. Since our golf course started renovation plans back in February, a few of our Members decided that 2020 will be the year of the “Hole In One”! Congratulations to Mr. Jack Blankenhorn, Ms. Becca McKinney, Mr. Ted Broering, Mr. Callum Chadwick, and Mr. Paul Urben for their accomplishments this past Spring. Now let’s add more to this list! On April 26th, while playing at Treyburn Country Club, Mr. Scott Ruerup decided it was his time for golf perfection. Using an 8-iron from 168 yards, Mr. Ruerup aced the 7th hole in front of playing partners Mr. Benjamin Jones and Mr. Marc Sampson. On May 22nd, Mr. Greg Seamster’s trip to Old North State cost him a few cocktails as he perfected the 14th hole with an 8-iron. Playing alongside great friends Mr. Landon Harper and Mr. Bron Thompson, this feat was most memorable due to the fact that his son, Mr. Christian Seamster, also got to witness is father’s golf ball find the bottom of the cup from 160 yards. The very next day, Mr. Matt Lindley figured he would get into the family fun at Old North State by holing out in one on the 3rd hole. Using a 6iron from 189 yards, his tee shot took two soft bounces and disappeared into the cup to the astonishment of his son Mr. Jack Lindley and his father and ONS Member Mr. Bill Lindley.

In the final round of the Member-Member at Treyburn Country Club on June 7th, Mr. David Acomb recorded his first ever Hole In One on the demanding 2nd hole. Using a 4-Hybrid from 215 yards, Mr. Acomb’s ace was witnessed by teammate Mr. Brian Milberg, and playing competitors Mr. Phil Hilldale and Mr. Matt Lindley. This remarkable shot enabled the team of Acomb & Millberg to capture the Overall Gross Championship for the Raleigh Country Club Flight!

Lakeside Lodging at Old North State Club

Golf professionals from Holston Hills, CC of Asheville and Old North State Club recently played golf marathons to fund educational scholarships through Folds of Honor. On May 27, HH Assistant Pro Joey Batuello, CCA Director of Golf Matt Stewart, and Assistant Pro Brian Muller participated in the event - as did ONSC Director of Golf Justin Mather, Club Manager Brian Pabst, and Assistant Pros Adam Davey and Josh Rowell on June 22. In total, the group played 794 holes of golf and raised over $40,000 for the cause. Thank you, members for your support! Musgrove Mill Cottages and Suites

YOUNGEST SWIMMERS: JOIN OUR MINI RAYS SQUAD! For swimmers ages 4 and up, join the team as a Mini Ray. This offering will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00pm5:30pm to help build up strength and familiarity with strokes and team competitions. $120 per child, includes shirt. SWIM TEAM Your swim team dues include the following: 4 swim meets and championship meet, award for swimmer, virtual bootcamp, team picture, and a t-shirt.
