Experience the excitement as “The 25” tracks the PGA TOUR cards at stake and the weekly player movement in and out of the Top 25 places on the new points list. Partake in the sportsmanship as we celebrate our 32-year heritage as a founding event on the Korn Ferry Tour. Olivia Reardon is the daughter of Kevin Reardon, director of golf at Providence Country Club. On November 30, 2021, she was taken to the hospital and rushed into emergency surgery with a mass behind her right eye. This mass was found to be rhabdomyosarcoma. Olivia is currently undergoing a chemotherapy regimen with proton radiation treatments at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. In continued support of Kevin, Christina and Olivia, McConnell Golf plans to do a golf marathon with various fundraising initiatives at each property in late May to benefit the family, St. Jude and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Stay tuned for more updates from your club and follow Olivia’s journey on social media. We cannot thank the members and staff at Providence Country Club enough for their overwhelming support the last 3-4 months.

REX HOSPITAL OPEN I JUNE 2-5 The 34th Annual REX Hospital Open will soon take place at The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation. This event provides a unique opportunity to build your brand, reward employees, and entertain clients and customers. Are you interested in volunteering? Please email Michael Thomas at mthomas@ccwakefieldplantation.com.

TEE IT UP Members, Hard to believe we are now in May, and like you, looking forward to a fun summer of golf. The practice facility has been open for a few weeks now and good to hear scores are getting a little better now that you can warm up before playing. The finished product looks great and we appreciated your patience while it was closed. Like my grandmother use to tell me, good things come to those who wait. April was a fun month especially with the participation of juniors and women in our Operation 36 programs. We also had a great turnout for our inaugural Masters Putting contest and look forward to doing two more in May and June. It’s a perfect opportunity for the family to come out to the club for fun and enjoy a nice meal when you’re finished putting. With the PGA Championship this month at Southern Hills and the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles in June, we will do our best to replicate holes from their respective courses. The months of May and June are fun months at RCC with the Men’s Member-Member, Memorial Day Tournament and Parent/Child Tournament. With the practice facility open, we will continue to promote fitting days and use of Trackman. In addition, we will have our first Couples Event on Friday, June 10th using a Caddy Shack theme for the night. Be on the lookout for more details. Let’s continue to properly repair ball marks, rake the bunkers and enjoy this great game. Look forward to seeing you at the club. Brian Kittler, PGA, VP Golf Operations McConnell Golf

Fun night for our inaugural Masters Putting contest. We did a nine hole event using the second nine of Augusta as our theme. Greatly appreciate the support and turnout as we all had a fun night.

MEMORIAL DAY

COOKIES OF THE MONTH MAY - STRAWBERRY SHORTBREAD COOKIES BY ISAAC SPENCER, EXECUTIVE CHEF AT ONSC

When I think of May, I think of my mom and celebrating Mother’s Day. I can remember my mom going to local farms to pick some of the biggest and juiciest strawberries off the vines and letting me snack on a few while she picked them. Later she would make her version of strawberry shortcake using the naturally sweet strawberries, cool whip and buttery shortbread cookies. Cookie Ingredients: Strawberry Glaze Ingredients: 4 Ounces Granulated Sugar ¼ Cup Chopped Strawberries 8 Ounces Unsalted Butter, room temperature 1 Cup Powdered Sugar 12 Ounces All-purpose Flour View the recipe at ½ TSP Kosher Salt https://bit.ly/May-Cookie-2022 ½ Ounce Freeze-dried Strawberries

JUNE - NO BAKE WHITE CHOCOLATE CRANBERRY COOKIE BY PATRICK BUDNIEWSKI, EXECUTIVE CHEF AT HHCC

In the middle of the summer the last thing you want to do is turn on the oven and start to heat the house. That is where these cookies come into play. These cookies are quick and simple to make and are a great cool treat on a warm summer day. I like eating these straight out of the fridge. You can add chopped toasted almonds as an option or even substitute dried cherries instead of the dried cranberries. Ingredients: 4 Cups Granulated White Sugar 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, cubed 1 Cup 2% Milk 2 Cups White Chocolate Chips
