TEE IT UP

Congratulations Cyrus Stewart wins the 2021 Men’s Club Championship for the third consecutive time! After maintaining his two shot lead through nine, Cyrus then pulled away from the field on the closing holes to eventually win by three shots and shoot a final score of 215 (+2) over three days. Congratulations to Cyrus Stewart for his brilliant play and to the many flight winners of the event.

Congratulations to Ms. Becca McKinney on recording her 4th career hole-in-one on September 3rd! Her trusty 8-iron from 106 yards found the bottom of the cup on No. 6 and was witnessed by Mr. John Deluise, Mr. Rick Matthews, Mr. Ron Casey, and Mr. David Johnson. Great shot, Ms. McKinney!

During 2021, Operation 36 has continued to be a very successful developmental program for our junior golfers. With this program, we have been able to connect with over 80 families and more than 120 junior golfers. As a whole, our golfers have improved their golf game by more than 600 strokes! Thanks to the hard work and dedication by both our junior golfers and families, the overall golf games of our Club juniors have gotten much better. We cannot wait to see what the future holds as our junior growth development model is starting to trend with many competitive and collegiate golfers. - Coach Thomas and Coach Davis

Congratulations to Marlowe Schenk, Corbett Gupton, Thomas Sevier, and Anderson Alford for advancing to the next tees after shooting 36 or better! We look forward to seeing how much everyone improves over the semester!

2021 MEN'S MEMBER/GUEST Our first Peartree Classic on our newly renovated golf course was one for the ages! Players had to play prudently, and those who did were rewarded with winning matches. In the shootout, it came down to the teams of Sevier & Martin and Stevens & Garrison. After both teams reached the green in three shots, Sevier & Martin had the slight advantage with a half-stroke. However, Mr. Eric Stevens made a four-foot putt to win the 2021 Peartree Classic! Congratulations to Mr. Eric Stevens and Mr. Dan Garrison (pictured below) on their victory and thank you all for coming out to play and watch!

COOKIES OF THE MONTH NOVEMBER - MOLASSES COOKIES Kenric Hunt - Brook Valley Country Club

This cookie has been one of my own favorites to buy (Famous Amos) molasses cookies. My very first job was working at Piggly Wiggly where a portion of my check went to buying cookies. Also the taste of them reminds me of time spent with my father as we would eat them often after dinner or for a snack!
