Summer Camp 2023
What a wonderful summer full of swimming, crafts, games, and so much more! We started off our summer camp season with Animal Planet Camp Campers had the chance to learn about animals from all around the world and even had the opportunity to see and hold live insects During our Marvel Superhero Camp, campers went through superhero training, made their own costumes, and at the end of the week completed an obstacle course to become certified superheroes.
During the Remote Control Unnamed Lego® Vehicles camp, campers built their own vehicles, machines, and even made their own soap! To finish off the camp season we had one of favorite camps of the summer, Master Chef Camp. Campers were able to make their own lunch and snack each day with Chef John, tour the RCC kitchen, and make playdough. Thank you to all who participated in camp this year. We look forward to an even more exciting summer next year!

FRIENDLY REMINDERS
To ensure that our golf course stays in the condition that we all enjoy, we require all members to do their part by making sure that they adhere to the routine maintenance that all golfers are expected to perform every time they use the facilities at Raleigh Country Club Below are three routine golf maintenance etiquette practices Your attention to these matters of maintaining the bunkers, greens, and fairways will help provide the excellent daily playing condition that we all desire and expect from our course
All bunkers need to be properly maintained by the Membership Members are expected to enter the bunkers from the low side and smoothly rake the area they disturb with their bunker shots and footprints upon exiting from the low side
Please repair your ball mark and any others that you may find on our greens.
Please remember to fill in your fairway divots with the sand bottles provided on the carts and at the sand bottle stations on the course.
As a member of Raleigh Country Club, there is an expectation that our members, dependents, and their guests adhere to our dress code. If the dress code is not adhered to on the golf course and practice facilities, members and their guests will be asked to leave the golf areas and change into proper attire Shirts must be tucked in and hats worn facing forward at all times while on the course and practice facility
The pace of play is a big part of enjoying golf
Please do your part to play ready golf and in keeping pace with the group in front of you Our team will be on the course monitoring pace of play Should we identify slow play from members consistently, we may suggest later tee times, or eventually restrict access to times that are vital to getting the day off to a fast start

COOKIES OF THE MONTH
SEPTEMBER: FRUIT AND NUT COOKIES BY
GREG LYONS, EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEFAT WP
"This cookie is my great-grandmother’s fruit and nut recipe my mother loved growing up It’s an “old school” recipe that probably came from her family My mother remembers her Pappy cracking and picking walnuts, and remembers that her Gram would put the cookies in a lard can, covered with a cloth soaked in cheap wine to keep the cookies moist, and also to keep my mother out of the cookies because the lard cans were too hard to open Filled with pecans, candied fruits and dates, these cookies can take on any add-ons you'd like, from red and green cherries or dates to chopped dried apricots, tart cherries, and/or currants "
