I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jason Seehafer, and I’m honored to introduce myself as your new General Manager It’s a privilege to join such a wonderful club, and I couldn’t be more excited to get to know each of you
I have been with McConnell Golf for the past six years, serving as General Manager of Porters Neck Country Club Recently, I was promoted to Vice President of Operations at McConnell Golf while also stepping into the role of General Manager here at Treyburn Country Club. My passion has always been centered around providing exceptional member experiences, fostering a welcoming community that wants to have fun, and ensuring that the club continues to be a place where you can connect, unwind, and create lasting memories
On a personal note, my family and I are excited to be returning to the Raleigh/Durham area, where we previously lived
for 10 years. For many years, I was the Assistant GM at The Umstead Hotel and Spa and later the General Manager of Prestonwood Country Club. My wife, Stacy, and I are originally from Wisconsin, but since moving to Raleigh, we have proudly joined the Duke Blue Devil fandom We have three children: Joshua “Jojo” (13), Jaylee (11), and TJ (11) They are all active in sports, including soccer, basketball and more recently, lacrosse We’re looking forward to rejoining the community and making Treyburn our home.
In the coming month, I will be transitioning from Wilmington and look forward to meeting you whether on the course, in the clubhouse, or at one of our upcoming events. Please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself, share your thoughts, or stop by my office to say hello. My door is always open, and I value the opportunity to connect with you
Thank you for the warm welcome! I look forward to this new chapter and to continuing Treyburn’s tradition of excellence.
We are thrilled to announce three major improvements coming to the tennis facility, expanding playing opportunities for our members:
Reopening Clay Courts 5 & 6 – This spring, these courts will reopen, increasing availability for members.
New Pro Shop & Amenities – A modern pre-built facility will be added to house a pro shop, restrooms, and a viewing area overlooking the courts
This addition will provide a fresh and functional space for our members
Brand-New Pickleball Facility – We will convert the center clay court into an asphalt surface with four standalone, permanent pickleball courts.
We anticipate the pickleball project to begin the week of March 17th, with all three projects expected to be completed by early summer just in time for a full lineup of programming for members to enjoy!
We are committed to continuously improving the club experience for our members Here are some exciting enhancements you can look forward to in the coming months:
Replace driving range mats
Install an indoor hitting bay with a golf simulator and club fitting capability
Add outdoor furniture for the deck and patio space by the golf shop
Install new outdoor landscape lighting
Create a designated turn house area with F&B available on Mondays for golf
Paint the clubhouse
Replace the aging fire sprinkler system (not the most exciting, but necessary!)
Install a Paxton entry system for the fitness center, allowing access via mobile app instead of key fobs
Upgrade golf course maintenance equipment
Thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to meeting you all in the near future.
Best wishes,
Jason Seehafer Vice President of Operations | General Manager
Dear members,
We are excited to announce initiation fees will be increasing for our golf memberships April 1st! If you have a friend, neighbor or colleague who may be interested, please let them know now is a great time to join membership and feel free to share my personal contact information with them It’s also a great time to upgrade to Full Golf before the initiation fees increase for our Social & Sports members If there is anything we can assist with, please do not hesitate to reach out and thank you for your continued support.
Thank you,
Matt McConnell Membership Director
Dear Treyburn Members,
After a cold, wet & snowy winter, it is nice to see all of our members’ friendly faces once again. Provided is the 2025 golf calendar. This year’s event schedule is filled with tournaments for players of every skill level. We have made some slight adjustments that we hope you will enjoy We will be starting off the year with the Glow Golf Event being held on March 8th We have partnered with Glow Vibe Golf to make this event brighter than ever before! This event promises a fun-filled night where the course will be brightened with glowing golf balls & lit bunkers, creeks, and greens!
The TMGA Divot Party will be held on March 25th. During this event, members will be heading out onto the course to fill divots in the fairways with sand This goes a long way in helping Mark Snell and his team prepare for the growing season and ensure the course is in tip-top shape for our spring play and events!
Following the completion of filling the divots, the group will be enjoying burgers, hot dogs, and snacks upstairs in the clubhouse We hope to see you all there!
Sunday, March 2nd, will be our last winter shotgun start. We will be returning to normal tee times beginning at 8:00am on the weekends. The range will now be open from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm each day. The Golf Shop will now be open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
We are excited to announce that many projects are taking place, which will be making a positive impact on the member experience The range project to install permanent range mats will begin in just a few short weeks These mats will be installed on top of a concrete slab that will run 140 feet across the back of the range and will be separated by a rough length of turf This will appeal to the natural look and feel of the practice area while providing a level teeing area for the mats to sit on.
Mark Snell and his team have been hard at work removing a large number of trees both on the course and surrounding the club. We believe this will provide added sunlight and oxygen, which will foster the growing of zoysia grass This grass will replace some of the hardpan in those areas The team has started French drain projects on hole 7 near the green, hole 1 near the green, hole 8, and on the range to improve drainage in some of our wet areas
We are excited to see these projects underway very soon and completed leading up to April. As always, I appreciate your continued support of the Treyburn Golf Operation. If our staff can better assist you, please do not hesitate to contact me!
Best,
Ryan Vance, PGA Director of Golf

Daniel Recchia Personal Trainer
Daniel is an all-around great trainer. He is friendly, encouraging, and very knowledgeable about the human body and the game of golf. Since training with him, I have made significant progress. In terms of fitness, I have lost weight, toned my body, and feel stronger Despite being bone-on-bone in my knee, Daniel has worked with me to regain strength, balance, and stability In golf, Daniel targets the muscles that matter most, ensuring that all the exercises we do are safe and effective We continue to work on my swing speed, strength, mobility, and flexibility, which has led to better balance and longer distances with my clubs. I even posted an 81, my personal best at Treyburn since training with him. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone interested in improving their golf game and feeling better overall.
