For Social at Verandah, Sloane celebrates the philosophy of simple and great classic food. Personally, I am a fan of locally sourced native Australian flavors and produce – so Social at Verandah certainly drew me in. In the brand’s renowned fashion, Sloane has mastered a perfectly concise Australian menu while carefully sprinkling a hint of European flavors into to speak to our national cuisine’s multi-cultural heritage. “There are some really delicious dishes our patrons can look forward to,” he tells me. “For example, the Kangaroo Tartare with quail yolk, Yabby Tail and roast pumpkin tortellini, and even a whole suckling porchetta pig which we’ll carve for you at the table, are some of the highlights.” On first impression the delicately balanced architectural and gastronomic flavour of Social at Verandah will leave an indelible aftertaste making you want to come back time and again.
