A message from Peter Chauncy and his team
It was just two years ago when talk in the McGrath Crows Nest office would turn to the prospect of a $3 million sale in Naremburn being just around the corner. We have well and truly turned that corner with a string of $3 million plus sales and a new suburb record with the successful auction of 10 Adolphus Street, which became the first home to sell for over $4 million. The median price for a house in Naremburn is currently $2,392,918, up from $2,006,179 this time last year - which is a capital gain of about 19%. Our vendors are achieving healthy results due to this price growth, as well as the strong commitment and local market knowledge of our team. In the 2016/2017 financial year we were responsible for the sale of 41 of the 57 house sales in Naremburn - our nearest competitor selling just three. In fact, we successfully negotiated the sale of nine out of the top ten house sales this financial year. Further leveraging our relationships and buyer database we were also able to sell ten properties off the market, saving our vendors time and marketing expenses. A new suburb record was set for a semi-attached house with the sale of 5 Merrenburn Avenue for $2.66 million. In the past 12 months we grew our market share in Naremburn from 60% to 72% and set fifteen new street records along the way. Results like these have earned us lots of recognition in the marketplace. We were honoured for Peter to be named eighth in Australia in the REB top 100 agents, as well as being the second top-selling agent in the entire McGrath national network. As a team who lives and works in the local area, we like to play our part in the community. We are pleased to be the major sponsor for the Willoughby Preschool and in the last 12 months we have raised over $30,000 for the school.
