In its 31st year, Capital Arts Patrons’ Organisation (CAPO) is a volunteer nonprofit organisation that supports the ACT region’s artists. Since establishment in 1983, CAPO has disbursed over $2 million dollars as arts fellowships and awards with support from the Canberra arts and business communities. Goods and services donated to CAPO by Canberra businesses, and outstanding artworks by Canberra’s highly collectible established and emerging artists are sold at the annual CAPO auction. A highlight event in the CAPO calendar is their annual art auction and awards night. This year CAPO 31 will be held at Canberra Museum and Gallery (CMAG) on Saturday 4th October. Only CAPO 31 ticket holders can bid in the auction and tickets may be purchased online at capo.org.au. Mr Paul McDermott has joined CAPO as their new Patron for 2014.
