It’s time to put the paddle in the water! This fun and introductory educational kayak course will get you started on the road to high adventure . Participants will learn the basics of kayaking including safety, how to launch your boat, and how to plan for a safe trip . All equipment is provided

Fees: $60 Resident / $65 Non-Resident
Erwin Park Night Hike
Explore Erwin Park on the outdoor trail underneath the McKinney night sky while searching for nocturnal critters through sights and sounds! The hike is almost 2 miles long through some difficult terrain; plan accordingly . Please bring a flashlight

Watercolor Painting Class
Develop your painting skills by learning watercolor techniques from an award-winning artist in a group setting . In each session, you will paint a different subject; no art experience is required .
Location: Old Settler’s Recreation Center
Fees: $180 per 6-week session

$150 per 5-week session (June 14-July 19)
Participants can attend any class during a session for $40 drop-in free
Supply Fee: $40 for first-time students
$6-$12 for returning students
If a class does not have sufficient registration five working days prior to its start date, it could be cancelled .
