ZUMBA GOLD
A dance program designed for adults 50+ that combines Latin and international music with dance to make exercise fun .

Learn the basic moves of Water Aerobics while developing balance, flexibility, and confidence moving in the water . This is a low-impact, slow-paced class with a short period of mild cardio for those restarting exercise, recovering from surgery, or having chronic health issues . Beginners welcome!

Classes and times designated 50+ are reserved and designed specifically for Senior Center members . Public open swim times are located on page 20b . Registering for Senior Recreation Center and Senior Pool membership includes filling out a membership application, taking a picture, and obtaining a membership card Unless otherwise stated, participation in programs and use of services and equipment requires a current facility membership or a day pass

Scholarship Program
The City of McKinney Parks and Recreation Department offers a scholarship program to McKinney residents Forms are available at the service desk for those who request financial assistance for activity or class participation The scholarship is available for the direct cost of the program and excludes trips, special events and supply fees A scholarship form must be filled out and approved by the McKinney Senior Recreation Center supervisor prior to class registration .

Visitors
The McKinney Senior Recreation Center and Senior Pool welcome visitors who are considering joining and touring the facility Please stop by a service desk to sign the visitor book and obtain a visitor’s pass . Visitors are not permitted to participate in any activity, including the fitness room
Caregiver Membership
Adults needing direct supervision or daily assistance must be accompanied by a responsible guardian at all times at the McKinney Senior Recreation Center and Senior Pool A Caregiver Pass is given so that the Member can be assisted, when necessary . The Caregiver Member is to remain in proximity of the Member and may NOT participate in any activity other than the extent necessary to help the Member be a part of the activity . If the caregiver desires to participate in the activity, membership and fee applies Caregivers must fill out a Caregiver Pass application . There is no membership charge to a caregiver .
Refunds are not issued for any program costing $9 or less
Programs costing $10 or more will be refunded if the activity is sold out and the vacancy can be filled from the waitlist . If the vacancy cannot be filled a refund will not be issued .
If a program is canceled by the McKinney Senior Recreation Center or Senior Pool a full refund will be issued
