Academic Activities

Bachelor of Technology Join student-guided tours of the Engineering Technology Building (ETB) running continuously, no registration is required. Tours will depart from in front of ETB 121. Tours of the McMaster Automotive Research Centre (MARC) will run from 11:30 am – 3:30 pm (last bus will depart for MARC at 2:45 pm and return to campus by 3:30 pm). Catch the MARC Shuttle bus (near the Institute of Applied Health Sciences Building). Buses will pick up/drop off approximately every 15 minutes.

Engineering In addition to Faculty and Staff answering questions, students will be available to tour the Engineering facilities between 10:30 am and 3:00 pm. Visit the Faculty of Engineering Tent located outside of ETB and ITB. Experiential Playground and Innovation Classroom (EPIC) Lab: ETB – First Floor: EPIC gives first year students hands on experience in building and printing with 3D prototype printers and other tools. Meet our Student Leaders: DeGroote Commerce Society, in the DeGroote School of Business (DSB) atrium, to speak about getting involved in various business clubs (10:00 am until 4:00 pm).

Chat with professors and students from all our programs in the MUSC Marketplace to find out about Humanities courses, degrees, student exchanges, career support and more. Tours to our new art studios, and to Humanities facilities such as multimedia, theatre, linguistics, and music cognition labs, will run at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, 12:15 pm and 1:15 pm. Meet at the Humanities tour desk in MUSC Marketplace!

Come get an #iamsocsci photo taken! The Photo Booth will be available from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm in the Marketplace. Those who have their picture taken will be entered into a random prize draw. All photos will be posted on the Soc Sci Facebook page. Meet one of our therapy dogs in the Marketplace at 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm.
