The Frog Pond pool is a great place to hang out and relax during those hot summer months! This pool has a zero-depth entry and a maximum depth of eight feet. The Frog Pond also has a children’s pool equipped with a whale, his water-spouting blowhole and a bubbler. There are a total of four slides - three tube slides and a frog slide - from which you can surely make a splash! For those of you just wanting to hang out in the sun, there is plenty of room! Concessions are available daily. Come on and check us out! Check out all the rules and general info about the Frog Pond at www.montgomerycountyva.gov/parks. Daycare information: Prior notice is required for daycares visiting the Frog Pond so we’ll have enough staff on-hand. Please call (540) 382-6975 at least 24 hours prior to your visit (daycares only permitted on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and advise us on how many children you’ll be bringing. Call us if you have any questions, as well. If you come outside of designated daycare days, we will allow one warning. This is a very unique course that consists of wooded fairways, with a variety of elevation gains. This course is the 5th largest east of the Mississippi! Whether you’re a seasoned veteran modeller, an aspiring new prospective hobbyist, or simply curious as to what it’s all about, you can find information on the McMAC website: www.mcmac.org. Let the Kid’s Play Scholarship Fund The Let the Kid’s Play Scholarship Fund was created to ensure that all kids have the opportunity to play sports and participate in after school programs. The fund helps offset the registration cost that families endure to make all programming affordable. It pays 75 percent of fees to qualified participants. If you would like to make a donation to the scholarship fund, your help is always appreciated and will only be used for kids right here in our Montgomery County service area. Children need a chance to run, be on a team, learn from coaches/instructors and have the opportunity to just go play. For more information, please call us at 382-6975.

in the grass ruins more than just play time!

Animal waste is one of the many sources of pollution that can create big problems for both water quality and human health. Help keep you, your family, your pets and our water healthy. YOU & YOUR FAMILY All pets shed bacteria like E. coli and dog waste can contain roundworms, Giardia and Leptospirosis - all of which may stay active in the soil long after the visible evidence in your yard is gone. Fresh dog waste can be less infectious than aged, so scoop daily. YOUR PET Scooping the poop can help eliminate the spread of parasites like hookworms, roundworms and canine parvovirus. Hookworms can survive in the soil for a week to a few months, while roundworms can survive in the soil for four years. Parvovirus is often deadly to unvaccinated puppies and can persist in the soil where waste was left for at least one year. OUR WATER Pet waste washes into the streets, into the storm drains and ditches and then directly into our creeks. Bagging pet waste is one way to reduce bacteria levels in streams. This message is part of Montgomery County’s Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements to provide public education and outreach on relevant stormwater issues.
