ICE 2021 Speaker bios JOHN BEALL Administrative Officer, Madigan Army Medical Center John Beall recently retired from the U.S. Army as a radiology technologist (68P) with close to 26 years of service culminating at the rank of First Sergeant. During his time, he served in increased leadership positions that included U.S. Army Radiology Technologist Career Field Advisor to the U.S. Army Surgeon General and Commanding General of the U.S. Army Medical Command. He has had the opportunity to provide medical services around the world. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Lean Leader practitioner. He was inducted into the Order of Military Medical Merit (O2M3) in 2016 and is a recipient of both the Bronze Star and Legion of Merit medals for his military service. He was recognized with the Fellow designation for the AHRA (FAHRA) and is a member of the AHRA Education Foundation’s Board of Directors.
ANGELIC BUSH MSRS, CRA, RT(R)(CT)(MR), FAHRA, Administrative Director of Radiology, University of Texas Medical Branch Angelic “Angie” Bush is a United States Air Force-trained radiology technologist who has been an imaging leader for 22 years. She is currently the director of radiology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She holds a master’s degree in radiologic science administration from Midwestern State University. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles, spoken nationally on both cardiac and diagnostic imaging subjects, was president of the AHRA (2017-2018), an Aunt Minnie finalist for most effective radiology administrator in 2016 and 2017. An official “Yellow Rose of Texas” and a John Levitow Award winner. But she is prouder still to call herself a genuine data geek who simply loves the imaging field.

BRENDA DEBASTIANI MBA, CRA, FAHRA, RT(R), Director of Imaging, Mon Health Medical Center Brenda DeBastiani is the director of imaging at Mon Health Medical Center. She has 34 years of experience in imaging, which includes 19 years of leadership experience. She received her MBA from Waynesburg University in December 2019, is an active AHRA member and has been a certified radiology administrator since 2007.
KENNETH FAZZINO CRA, PMP, Director, Envision Physician Services Ken Fazzino brings a diverse background in radiology. He has worked in multiple areas as technologist, management, sales, consultant and service provider. After fulfilling numerous clincal roles, including interventional radiology and cardiology, Fazzino transitioned to management where he led the design and operation of numerous outpatient imaging centers. He has also restructured and renovated numerous hospital departments. His experience includes in-depth knowledge regarding business indicators, regulatory agencies and restructuring teams to improve morale, efficiency and financial success. He has successfully sold PACS solutions for Philips Medical and led a project management team for hundreds of Nuance Powerscribe implementations across the country. He is a 20-plus years member of AHRA where he has held roles of distinction. He has authored articles for Radiology Management, co-authored a book on evidence-based management and is a frequent speaker at regional and national meetings.

PERRY KIRWAN CCE, Vice President Technology Management, Banner Health Perry Kirwan is the Vice President of Technology Management/ENTECH for Banner Health headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Banner Health operates 30 hospitals and a full complement of brick and mortar and virtual facilities/ businesses throughout the entire continuum of care in California, Colorado, Nevada and Wyoming. Banner’s HTM program manages over 220,000 assets with a total asset value of over $1.8 billion. Kirwan has been in the industry over 30 years and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University.
SUSAN MACINTYRE Susan MacIntyre, ARRT (R), ARRT (MR), MRSO (MRSC), CRA, MRI Supervisor, UPMC Susan MacIntyre has 34 years’ handson experience in fast-paced residential and hospital environments with a master’s in health care administration. She started her career with an associate degree from Pennsylvania State University and RT certification, performing in both general radiology and mammography. After a few years in general radiology, MacIntyre moved to MRI, where she has been since 1989. In 2016, she became a Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer and earned a bachelor’s in medical imaging. In 2019, she earned her MHA and CRA from AHRA. She is strongly focused on MR safety as well as patient safety. Her specialties include: imaging services compliancy and regulatory policies, MRI safety policies and procedures, ACR accreditation, protocol adjustments and patient satisfaction.
JAMES RICKNER Senior Director of Technical Services, Conquest Imaging James Rickner is the director of technical services for Conquest Imaging – an MXR Imaging company. He has worked for Conquest Imaging for 15 years and was the senior field service engineer prior to becoming the training director. His duties also include managing the technical support division of MXR Imaging’s ultrasound division, providing 24/7 technical support for customers nationwide. He has attended all courses offered at Conquest Imaging for GE, Philips, Siemens and ATL and has repaired a variety of others. He has degrees in electronics, scientific analysis and instructor of technology. In addition to his degrees,
Rickner has attended courses that have allowed him to become a certified quality management facilitator and a coach for the Dale Carnegie Course: Effective Communications and Human Relations/Skills for Success.
MANNY ROMAN CRES, AMSP Business Operations Manager Manny Roman is the association business operations manager for the Association of Medical Service Providers. He has over 40 years of experience in the healthcare technology management and service industry. He has worked for manufacturers and independent service organizations in management, service training and leadership development roles. He is co-founder of two independent radiology service training organizations. He has conducted numerous presentations on technical, management and personal development topics at regional and national industry meetings including the AAMI Exchange, MD Expo and ICE.
JASON SCOTT MBA, CRA, FAHRA, CPXP, RT(R)(MR), Chief Patient Experience Officer, Witham Health Services Jason Scott is the chief patient experience officer and director imaging/ respiratory/wound care/hematology/oncology at Witham Health Services in Lebanon, Indiana. He has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals related to radiology management; winning an outstanding article award for “How Radiology Leader Can Increase Emotional Intelligence.” He has built a successful facilitywide program that emphasizes the importance of delivering quality patient care. He is an AHRA board member and has served as secretary and president of his local chamber of commerce.
