The intent of a Technology Quick Look is to capture basic performance characteristics of a product deployed or demonstrated during the Mock Prison Riot event. Pepperball S-Series Pepperball Technologies
The Custom Carbine PepperBall launcher has been optimized for demanding deployments and ruggedized for enduring service. Its barrel, internal and external parts, hopper placement, and manufacture quality have been optimized to exacting standards for less-lethal scenarios. It is semi-automatic, target accurate to 60 feet, and can accurately saturate an area with pepper powder agent from up to 150 feet away.

How could this product be integrated into your daily operations? Several respondents indicated that they currently use this product at their facilities and were very pleased with overall performance in their daily operations requiring less lethal tool options. Potential areas of frequent use were forced cell moves, dealing with combative inmates, yard disturbances, and other similar use of force situations.
What physical attributes of this product type are needed for use in your daily operations? Desired physical attributes for this product type included light weight, compact, ease of use and accuracy resulting in immediate compliance from the combative subject. What functional attributes are desired for this product type? None noted. What are the three best features of this product? All respondents noted that this product would provide a logical alternative to other less lethal tools currently in use within their agency. The most notable features of this product were light weight, large magazine capacity, low maintenance, easy to carry, solid frame and versatility. Name three ways that this product could be improved. All respondents indicated a relatively high level of satisfaction with the current product. The only notable product improvement areas were the ability to mount straps, slings and lights on the product in addition to smaller model options that can be holstered on a standard duty belt.
