Archive; is an attempt to classify Stompin’ Grounds’ historical discography through a methodology where patterns in the form of code are derived into visual coherences to be placed within the sanctuary of a book. It also explores the qualitative inherences of archiving the bands’ life work through narratives between the analog and the digital medium. What was once the analog has been converted into the digital, and through the digital manifests back into the analog, though not immediate, this relevance has caused a narrative phenomena that we fail to address with cultures and their ideas of society today.

The book was once an object of desire, through the introduction and rise of technology, alters our perception on the desired, what we have on ink and paper now is transformed to light and pixels, similar to the band, this relationship creates a catharsis between the presence of the band within the context of society through time. Few questions aroused are; Is technology invasive to the sub-culture? Will sub-culture pre-dominantly last through time in the advance of technology?

Hence i present a method of deduction for the sub-culture to be an archetype, benchmarking it with the aid of technology, safekeeping the ideas and messages it presents to emergent societies.

The book, the visual archives as tools, are preventive from decay aspects of software and hardware from the transition of bytes to paper and ink. With instructions on the book the future self will be able to decode the visual archives, re-living the ideals of the diminishing DIY culture, putting back into emergent societies the ideas and messages from the sub-culture movement, prolonging discourse as how “today� remembers it to be.
