About Us The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM) is a UK based Awarding Organisation regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation). OTHM has a network of numerous delivery centres globally to delivery its qualifications.

OTHM is a Full Member of the Federation of Awarding Bodies (FAB)

Ofqual is responsible for maintaining standards and confidence in qualifications. Ofqual looks after GCSEs and A levels in England, and a wide range of vocational qualifications both in England and Northern Ireland. Ofqual also regulates the National Curriculum Assessments in England.

FAB is the trade association for vocational awarding bodies in the UK which represents the interests of over 110 awarding bodies by liaising with key stakeholders, including the regulators, government departments and funding agencies. FAB also provides information, advice and guidance to its members to support them in providing high quality and valued vocational qualifications.

London South Bank University (LSBU) is the original academic partner of OTHM; supporting and advising OTHM on the structure of its qualifications. Majority of our graduates also join London South Bank University to pursue Degree and Masters / Top-up programmes.

PROGRESSION ROUTES OTHM qualifications are regulated by Ofqual and graduates are welcomed by many UK universities to join their final year Bachelor’s and top up/ Master’s degree courses. Final Year BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality at London South Bank University (LSBU) London South Bank University allow holders of the OTHM Level 6 Diploma to have direct entry to the final year BA (Hons) in Tourism and Hospitality.

Note: Numbers of students entering the BA THLM, MSc ITHM or the MSc ITHM Top-Up will be limited by the capacity of these degrees to accept students onto the appropriate levels. The final decision lies with the Course Director for each programme at LSBU. MSc International Tourism Marketing at London South Bank University Students who have successfully completed OTHM Level 6 Diploma and who have two years management experience in the tourism and hospitality industry are eligible to apply for entry to MSc International Tourism Marketing at London South Bank University. MSc in Tourism and Hospitality (Top Up) at University of Sunderland London Campus University of Sunderland London Campus are happy to accept students with OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (QCF) for admission onto MSc in Tourism and Hospitality (Top Up).

Professional Membership Membership Levels Affiliate

Available to individuals undertaking an OTHM diploma or equivalent qualification in Travel, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management; from a recognised institution.

Associate (AOTHM)*

An OTHM Level 6 diploma or an equivalent recognised qualification or degree; Provide appropriate industry experience in an entry level or supervisory management position within the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality industry; Have shown evidence of an ongoing commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Full Member (MOTHM)*

Have achieved an OTHM Level 7 diploma or an equivalent recognised diploma or postgraduate qualification; Provide appropriate industry experience in a management or senior management position directly concerned with the Travel, Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management; Have shown evidence of an ongoing commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
