Community Planning Promote housing led regeneration through master planning proposals in urban and village centres.

NIHE will continue to work with the Council through the Community Planning process. NIHE works in partnership within the Building Successful Communities (BSC) programme, as part of the DfC Housing Strategy for NI, supporting the now onsite development of 11 new build social homes at Regents Park, Doury Road, Ballymena, which are being provided by Triangle Housing Association.

The masterplan for St Patrick’s Barracks, Ballymena is programmed for 2020/21 as part of the three-year Social Housing Development Programme (SHDP). Radius Housing Association will provide approximately 113 new social homes at this location. Following a major consultation exercise on the NIHE initial proposals with stakeholders in 2018, the final Tower Blocks Action Plan was approved by the NIHE Board in March 2019 and by DfC in August 2019. A Delivery Team has been put in place to drive and manage the implementation of the Action Plan. Latharna House in Larne is included in the strategy. Table continues
