NJ TRANSIT LIGHT RAIL SERVICES The Light Rail is a clean, efficient and speedy way to commute locally or make location connections to major terminals and service. NJ Transit operates two Light Rail systems in Northern New Jersey.

Hudson-Bergen Light Rail System connects residential Bayonne and western parts of Jersey City with Jersey City’s Exchange Place and Newport Center—and Hoboken Terminal, business and shopping centers. This offers easy connections to New York City via the PATH and NY Waterway.

The Newark City Subway brings residents in North Newark and from Newark’s northern suburbs to educational and cultural destinations in Newark, New Jersey’s largest city. It also intersects extensive local bus network.

AIR TRANSPORTATION Newark Liberty International Airport Newark Liberty International Airport is one of the world’s busiest airports, handling more than 30 million passengers per year. Operated by The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey since 1948, the airport serves international and domestic travelers and is one of the best-equipped air cargo facilities in the world. The airport is accessible by NJ Turnpike Interchange 13A, Routes 1 & 9, and Interstate 78.

Direct rail connections to the NJ Transit and Amtrak Northeast Corridor train lines are available via AirTrain Newark. Passengers can use AirTrain Newark by taking any NJ TRANSIT or Amtrak train that stops at the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station. PATH riders can use AirTrain by taking NJ TRANSIT from Newark Penn Station.
