In recent years, many initiatives related to “Art Therapy” have been developed.

Se lo stato di sofferenza non si attenua e diviene un disturbo debilitante o particolarmente grave al punto da non farci vivere la situazione in maniera tranquilla, può essere utile rivolgersi a uno psicoterapeuta esperto che ci può aiutare a provare tecniche specifiche per la gestione del malessere legato al Natale. Ricordiamoci soprattutto che dobbiamo lasciare da parte l’idealizzazione classica dei film di Natale per lasciare posto ad una visione più autentica, equilibrata, dove possono convivere pregi e difetti delle situazioni, limiti e punti di forza di noi stessi e degli altri. E poi dobbiamo riservare un’aspettativa più realistica alle feste, piuttosto che fare paragoni o confronti con gli altri per uniformarci a delle situazioni standard, cerchiamo cosa avremmo davvero voglia e bisogno di fare in quei giorni di festa, quello che insomma è nelle nostre corde e ci fa sentire bene. Ognuno merita il suo Natale cucito su misura in cui sentirsi a proprio agio e sereno, anche se imperfetto. Il Natale esisterà sempre finché ci teniamo cuore a cuore e mano nella mano, scriveva Dr. Seuss, io aggiungerei soprattutto con noi stessi.
