A er that of Rome, the historic centre of Verona is the one with the most well preserved Roman remains. All it takes is a short walk to encounter some truly impressive monuments starting with the prestigious Arena and then following on with the Teatro Romano, Ponte Pietra, Arco dei Gavi, Porta Borsari and the ancient forum which is now the delightful Piazza Erbe. But Verona o ers many more things to see as well; noble residences, medieval towers and, not to be missed, the 13th century home of Juliet with the famous balcony and the statue that represent the famous love story told by William Shakespeare.

Nach Rom ist Veronas Altstadt diejenige mit den meisten gut erhaltenen römischen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ein Spaziergang reicht aus, um wirklich beeindruckende Monumente anzutre en, angefangen beim berühmten Amphitheater Arena über das Römische eater, die Ponte Pietra, den GaviBogen, die Porta Borsari und das antike Forum, das heute die malerische Piazza Erbe ist.
