The Calgary Polo & Riding Academy can teach you how to ride polo ponies and play the exciting sport of polo. Individual and group lessons are customized according to your riding ability, level of play, and comfort level. Horses and equipment are provided, just show up ready to learn!

The Polo Academy hosts a series of Orientation Sessions in May and June which invite new players to come out and learn all about the sport, learn to hit on the wooden horse, then mount up for some polo drills and a short scrimmage. Pricing starts $150/person.

JUNIOR POLO
Tthe program, young players receive one-on-one instruction, group
heJuniorPoloProgramwelcomesparticipants6-18yearsofage.In instruction, and game practice. ey learn the fundamentals of horsemanship and the basic rules of polo in a fun and safe environment.
Junior players ages 6 –9 years, or new riders/players. Until they are able to control the pony independently, players are escorted by an adult and the pony is directed by leadline. Walk/Trot Leadline Group
Intermediate Group
Junior players ages 9+, or those capable of controlling their pony at a trot and slow canter.
Advanced Group
Players with at least 2 years experience, who can play at a canter.

Hitting cage and foot mallet polo, polo drills and group scrimmages, a wind-up tournament, prizes and more. Friday tournament and awards starting at 10:30am, parents and guests welcome to attend
Open to participants 9 to 16 years of age, who have at least 1 year of riding experience. All students must complete at least one polo lesson before camp in order to assess skill level.
