At the end of a cold day outdoors, it’s so cozy to curl up by the fre with a cup of cocoa. Here are a few favorites—there’s even a frozen cocoa recipe, to refresh you on warmer winter days!

Honey Sweetened Hot Cocoa

You Will Need:

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

2 cups of milk of choice, warmed

2 tablespoons of honey

Directions:

In a mug, mix together the honey, cocoa powder, and two tablespoons of the warmed milk. Stir to create a cocoa paste. When it’s well mixed, add the remaining milk and stir.

Spicy Cinnamon Hot Cocoa

You Will Need:

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa milk of choice, warmed

2 tablespoons of sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Directions:

In a mug, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, spices and two tablespoons of the warmed milk. Stir to create a cocoa paste. When it’s well mixed, add the remaining milk and stir.

Refreshing Frozen cocoa

You Will Need:

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup of milk of choice

1 cup of ice

2 tablespoons maple syrup

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Blend until well mixed and pour into a glass.

recipe for Easy Homemade Bread

Have you ever smelled homemade bread baking in the oven on a cold winter’s day? There’s nothing more cozy than warming the house with the scent of fresh bread. This is an easy loaf to prepare and very tasty to enjoy.

Step 1

Combine water, honey, salt, oil and yeast in a bowl and stir just barely; only until the ingredients are just combined. Let sit until bubbly (about 5-10 minutes).

Step 2

Knead in the four until a dough forms. Turn the dough out onto a foured surface and knead until smooth, which comes together quite quickly in about three or four minutes.

Step 3

Heat the oven to 400F.

Cover the dough with a dish towel to rise for 20 minutes.

YOU WILL NEED: • 1.5 warmcupswater • 1 tablespoonhoney • 1.5 teaspoonsalt • 1 oliveteaspoonoil • 1 drytablespoonyeast • About 4 cups bread four

Step 4

Divide the dough into two balls, and shape into two loaves. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in the oven. Immediately grab six ice cubes and toss into the bottom of the oven, being quick to close the door to keep the steam inside (steam creates a crisp crust).

Step 5

Bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove when the loaves are a nice golden-brown color and let cool on a wire rack before slicing.

Add a Stencil

Another fun way to customize our loaves is to decorate the outside with a stencil. Bread stencils are small designs or patterns cut into a piece of food-safe material. We place the stencil on top of our loaf and sprinkle four through a fne mesh sieve over the stencil. When we remove the stencil material, our design will be left on the top of the loaf!

Decorate Your Loaf with Color

Did you know there are lots fresh fruits andvegetables that are so rich in vitamins that they have lots of color? We can use the juice of these vegetables to change the color of our bread! To add some color to your loaf,simply substitute one cup of juice for one cup of water. Beet juice will give the loaf a lovely magenta color. Carrot juice will turn our loaf orange! Spinach and kale juice willgive the loaf a green hue.
