La Autoridad de Turismo de Panamá (ATP) inauguró, recientemente, un parador fotográfico en las inmediaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional de Río Hato con el fin de impulsar aún más el desarrollo de la zona conocida como la “Riviera

Pacífica”, franja costera de situada entre 60 y 120 kilómetros al oeste de ciudad de Panamá.

The Panama TourismAuthority (ATP) recently opened the monumental letters and photo stop of the region known as the Pacific Riviera. The location, near the Río Hato International Airport, was built to further promote the tourist development of the area, a coastal strip that stretches between 60 and 120 kilometers west of Panama City.

“We have worked hard for the integration of the area, and by all means approve the recent creation of the Pacific Riviera’s Tourism Chamber”, said Iván Eskildsen, the ATP’s General Manager.

“Hemos impulsado mucho la integración en esta zona, vemos con muy buenos ojos que se haya conformado una Cámara de Turismo en la Riviera Pacífica”, explicó Iván Eskildsen, administrador general de la ATP, durante el evento de inauguración.

Lo que era hasta hace poco más de dos décadas una franja de agrestes playas servidas por instalaciones de alojamiento pequeñas o medianas, se ha convertido en un destino turístico de más de 3,000 habitaciones, la mayoría de ellas situadas en resorts de primer nivel, como Royal Decameron, Playa Blanca, Riu, Sheraton Bijao, Coronado Golf & Beach Resort y Buenaventura (Autograph Collection Hotels).

Unida a la capital mediante la carretera Interamericana, la Riviera Pacífica recibe cientos de turistas cada año procedente de Norteamérica mediante vuelos chárter que aterrizan en el Aeropuerto Internacional Scarlett Martínez, de Río Hato.

BOCAS: GUARDIANA DEL CARIBE

La provincia de Bocas del Toro, situada en el extremo noroccidental del país, es considerada como unos de los destinos ecoturísticos más visitados de Panamá. Conocido como el ‘Galápagos del Caribe’, es uno de los lugares biológicamente más diversos del planeta.
