BRAD EVANS bradevans11@gmail.com I feel like I knew Sean Pritchard before most of you did. He was in high school, running around doing shows with a bunch of punk kids out at Starcadia, and they were among the first to treat me like I was some kind of sell out when I first started this paper. I was way older than them, I worked for a living and they thought it was bullshit that I charged money for advertising. When this group started the Macon Venue Project, I ended up donating advertising when I could, but if one issue I couldn’t, I was vilified. I respected their attitude though, and out of all of them, I knew Sean would be the one I’d be dealing with in the future. As far as I know the rest of them were eventually suffocated by their jeans, and I’m truly sorry for that. The Pritchard boys have always been counted among my close friends. It wasn’t long after I moved here that I became friends with Sean’s brother Andy, and not long after his other brother Jordan. There was a time that I was rarely seen without a Pritchard close by. Though that time passed, I still have great respect for everyone in their family. There is something they all have, besides that quick wit, that just makes you love them. Sean is no exception. He works harder to make his town better than anyone I know. And he doesn’t do it for money, and he certainly doesn’t do it for recognition. I respect that more than anything. I honestly don’t know a better person for Macon than Sean. Sean never self promotes. He never takes the opportunity to use a platform to somehow leap frog into a better place for himself. He’s not a sellout. So Sean won’t be the one telling you that he’s in the toughest fight of his life. He was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and rushed to Atlanta to begin treatment. He’s facing a whole lot of expenses associated with this. Sean needs our help. His family has set up a GoFundMe page in his name, and you should drop this paper, get on your phone and donate what you can to help him. Until he’s cancer free, you’ll see the hashtag #seanstrong on our logo on our cover, and we’ll continue to update you on his progress. Seanie, we love you so much, and we will be lifting you up until you beat this.

An Interview with
Derek Trucks
Derek Trucks is touted as the greatest slide guitarist in the world, maybe ever. He’s been playing on stage since he was 9 years old, headlining since he was 11. He’s played with everyone including Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, BB King, Buddy Guy. He toured as a guitarist with the Allman Brothers since 1999. In early 2008, Trucks took advantage of a few months off the road to finish building his home studio, which he dubbed Swamp Raga. A year later he recorded Already Free, an album heavy on original songs that proved a significant turning point in his career. It won a Grammy in 2010, establishing a new, song-oriented direction for Trucks, and set the stage for a musical partnership with his wife that eventually culminated in 2011 with the formation of the Tedeschi Trucks Band and the release of Revelator. His two most recent Grammys, for Revelator and a Lifetime Achievement Award for his membership in the Allman Brothers Band (Trucks is one of the youngest living musicians to receive the accolade), prove him to be on a path that has yet to realize its full potential which hurts my brain to even think about. But kind and gracious as ever, Derek remains on of the most fun souls I ever get to talk to with the 11th Hour. I spoke to him from his home in Florida just last week.
BE: I was at a TaJ Mahal Fishing Tournament in Costa Rica with you several years ago. Jimmy Herring caught a 500 pound marlin and Taj and I won the sailfish tournament. DT: Oh yeah. I remember that well. I just found the pictures of it the other day. I don’t remember much of it. Did it look like we had a good time. Oh yeah. We did. Tell me about the first time you picked up a guitar. The very first time. Well you know I grabbed a guitar at a garage sale. It wasn’t much of an instrument. I wasn’t even that excited about it. (Laughs) But I had like five bucks on me, and it was the only kid friendly thing at the sale. I think I was 8 or 9 years old. And I did know that my dad played a little bit. But, it was just something interesting to do. It kind of sat around for a while. At the time my dad was a roofer. He left the house at five in the morning and got home pretty late. He worked over the Florida heat. So it was probably a week or two before he had the chance to show me a few things. Once he did, I remember that

feeling of knowing a melody that you heard before and then being able to play it. That was the revelation. And it came really naturally, and that was part of it too. When you are young and things work, you enjoy it.
off!” I just remember it occupied a pretty weighty space. The way he’d talk about Bob Dylan and those records, and how they changed his life, and for my Mom it was Joni Mitchell. It was just important to us.
Obviously a lot of hard work went into it. But when anyone watches you play, it just looks like something was meant to be there. I’m not saying that it came easy for you, because I know it didn’t, but do you ever think that playing the guitar is something you were meant to do? A little bit. I didn’t really think about it a whole lot. Especially at that age. I enjoyed a handful of things. I enjoyed baseball. I just did it, you know? I didn’t over think it. A lot of it was being in the right place at the right time. Having parents that were listening to the right music. They cared about music in the right way too. Music in our house, kind of took the place of religion, in a lot of ways. My dad didn’t go to church, but when he talked about seeing Duane at the Fillmore or seeing Ray Charles, there was this look in his eye. I could tell it wasn’t just entertainment you know? The music that he had an aversion to was the same way. Something would come on and immediately he’d be like “Turn that shit
Butch Trucks, your uncle. Was he around? Were you aware of how important he was to the music industry? Did it get talked about a lot that you had this connection to the Allman Brothers? I was aware of the family connection. I was aware that some of that stuff started in my grandfather’s house in Jacksonville. But, at that time, it was the 80’s, they weren’t playing. They didn’t exist. They were done. In some ways it was mythology to me. It was this thing that happened a long time ago that you’d never get to see. I remember when I saw the reunion tour in ‘89 when they played Jacksonville in Metropolitan Park. I had just started playing then. Seeing that band come to life, was a very big moment.

I know it was an honor to end up on stage with them? Man. Absolutely it was. Me and Susan have both been so lucky to play with a lot of the reasons we started playing. Sometimes we have been in bands with them. Sometimes we’ve been guests with them. From the Allman’s to BB King. We just did this thing in L.A. with Bob Dylan. When you get a call that Bob Dylan wants you and your wife to fly out and play this song, and that he’s picked out a song for you. All you can say is Holy Shit, I’ll be there. You’ve probably said that a lot in your life. Yes, Yes I have. It’s pretty intense though, ya know? We’ve been really lucky to have those moments. Where did you first meet Susan? Well I first met her at Smith’s Olde Bar in Atlanta. But we didn’t make a connection then. I was in a relationship, and I was trying to be good. We were both with other people. I was like “Oh nice to meet you….Later” But we actually met in ‘99, when she was opening the first tour I did with the Allman Brothers. We spent a lot of time together on the road. Lot of long bus rides... me and Susan and Otiel would sit around and listen to music, and stay up late. It was a unique courtship. What is your house like when you are off the road? It’s busy here. We try to keep on top of the kids and make sure they are applying themselves properly. If it’s baseball or horseback with our daughter, there is always lots to do when we get home. But we also have our studio here, so the band comes down often. Today the band flies in and we’ll be writing and working on a new album. A lot of music flies around here. And it’s fun now, because our
kids are showing an interest. They enjoy listening to music. I’ll steal my kid’s headphones, and it’s always refreshing when it’s a Stevie Wonder record, or my son is on a big Zeppelin/David Bowie kick lately. That works for me! And I think they enjoy what our band does to. I want to ask you a question about our common friend Bill Lucado. How did he come into your life? Bill Lucado came into my Trucks and Tedeschi will play the City Auditorium, Friday, Feb. 27 life at Elizabeth Reeds Music Hall. He just came out to more. It’s always good to see him. When I think of this show and he was larger Macon, Georgia, I think of Bill Lucado, then the Allman than life. He is larger than life. COMMENT ONLINE AT 11thHourOnline.com
The Shakedown Continues: Dallemand Tries to Sue for $10 Million The Free Dictionary defines “Libel and Slander” as: “Collectively known as defamation, libel and slander are civil wrongs that harm a reputation; decrease respect, regard, orconfidence; or induce disparaging, hostile, or disagreeable opinions or feelings against an individual or entity. The injury toone’s good name or reputation is affected through written or spoken words or visual images. The laws governing these torts are identical.” Clearly not caring about definitions, our “good friend” the Hatian Huckster Romain Dallemand filed a $10 million dollar claim with the American Arbitration Association of Vorhees, New Jersey last month which was just unearthed this week by The Telegraph. Apparently Dallemand assumes that when he left our district in a shambles of debt, personnel issues and law suits, that he actually had a good name to defame. That is the furthest thing from the truth, but I am SO glad that he has tried to shake down the Board of Education for even more money than he previously fleeced us out of. Why do you ask? Why would I welcome him to go to arbitration and cost us more money in trying to stop him from collecting another nickel? It’s simple. If the Board is smart, which at least four and possibly five of them are now, they will turn this into a way to get Dallemand behind bars by not agreeing to any arbitration but rather to turn the table on him and countersue him for damages done to our system; damages that may take decades to repair. Enter our new Superintendent-elect Dr. Curtis Jones formerly of the Spalding County-Griffin District. Dr. Jones has a huge task and a heavy responsibility ahead of him, but based on his past and his training, I feel he will come in to the Bibb Board of Education and go through it like Patton did through Germany with the 3rd Army in World War II. (I had to go with an Army comparison…Dr. Jones went to West Point.) Now as I was saying, this will be a golden opportunity to cook Dallemand’s goose and get his butt on a witness stand and depose him with the goal of making him out of the courthouse not a millionaire, but in a nice brightly colored jumpsuit with “Bibb County” stamped on it, only to be replaced very quickly with a “Federal Prisoner” stamp on it when all of his misdeeds and chicanery of Title I funds are exposed that were meant for our kids, but were instead spent on the lavish, and now closed, “Welcome Center” as 16 FEB 26 - MARCH 11, 2015
well as the salaries that were wasted on political payoffs cloaked in high salaries for inept administrators to guard the “Palatial Palace on Riverside”. I do have to say that Dallemand has got to have balls the size of the Big Peach down in Byron to try and pull off his latest scheme to get more money from us. His narcissism is legendary and this is just another prime example of it. I’ll never forget the time I was doing an interview with a vendor that Dallemand tried to shake down while scamming the system into investing into induction lighting. Dallemand basically asked the company for a kickback, which was turned down by the vendor, who told me that after their meeting that he “felt like he (the vendor) needed to take a shower”, because he felt so dirty after dealing with Dallemand. After our collective screwing by Dallemand, we all should feel like a long hot shower, but I digress. Further, I think that when we get done with Dallemand, we should review all the board’s legal representation for their roles in allowing a lot of Dallemand’s nonsense to occur, as well as a complete and thorough audit of all bids that Dallemand was a part of to make certain that everything was done in a fair and equitable manner. Lastly, there should be an investigation into the relationship that one of the “Dallemand Defenders” Board Member Tom Hudson had and has with Bibb County DFACS and programs and services that his company The Middle Georgia Council on Drugs supplies to the Bibb County Board of Education through DFACS. There’s a lot of smoke to this fire and we to get to the bottom of a lot of things that just don’t smell or look right. I hope that Dr. Jones has some desire to do some digging before we completely finish the book on Dallemand and his cronies and that the current Board of Education can write a final chapter for him that results in decades of jail time.

Describing the album as “a synthesis between their zany bluegrass sound and my long-suffering, implosive-depressive novelist view of the South,” White says it fulfills his “conniving goal to become a happy bluegrass man.” Sounding like an ivory-tower academic one minute and a stand-up comedian the next, he says “versus” addresses the “conflagration of opposing mindsets” as an answer to the question, “What happens when we throw these two unlikely elements together?”

$22+ Wet Willie, originally from Mobile, Alabama, relocated to Macon, Georgia in 1969, where they were signed to Capricorn Records, and began a relentless recording and touring schedule. They broke into the national charts with their Southern Rock anthem "Keep On Smilin'" in 1974, with other hits to follow during the '70's, like "Streetcorner Serenade," "Countryside of Life" and "Weekend" for Capricorn and Epic Records. Wet Willie continues to tour, currently in support of their most recent release Miles of Smiles on Atlanta's Hittin' the Note label.
Some people take up a life of playing music with the goal of someday reaching a destination of fame and fortune; but from the get-go, Keen just wanted to write and sing his own songs, and to keep writing and singing them for as long as possible.

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME . . . HOCKEY?

Back in November of 2009, I penned an article as a Mercer University basketball season ticket holder encouraging this community to take an active interest in this great NCAA Division I community resource of ours and fill the arena seats. “Rookie of the Year” in the American Hockey League and the East Coast Hockey League’s “Player of the Year.” Newly named Mayhem Coach, Kevin Kerr, was selected in the third round of the 1986 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. In 2005, he became the all-time leader for minor league professional goals, retiring with 677 goals scored in a career that spanned from 1987 to 2005. So I think you’ll agree that the Macon Mayhem is bringing some pretty impressive, experienced and tested leadership into our Macon-Bibb Centreplex Coliseum and Middle Georgia community. They’re doing their part, but the potential economic impact that their presence ultimately brings will depend largely upon the enthusiasm and support that you and I extend in return. To those who envision the Mayhem as simply going the way of the Whoopie and Trax, I would respond that things here in Macon and Middle Georgia have changed significantly, and that this time around, we are currently on an upswing that this entire region has neither seen nor experienced in a number of decades. Personally and in addition to my four Mercer University football and four basketball season seats, I have anteed up for an additional four season tickets to the Mayhem games to do what I am able to insure its success. I would, therefore, encourage all readers to follow my lead by lending your personal and business support to this great regional and economic opportunity in every possible way.

Well, a 2013 College Insider Tournament championship later, and a Mercer Bears victory over Duke in the 2014 NCAA tournament has now by and large brought fans into Hawkins Arena and regularly filled those seats to capacity. Our next great community sports challenge is to become a hockey town as the Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League prepares now to take to the ice in the fall. I am no stranger to minor league hockey. During my tenure in Richmond, Virginia, the Richmond Renegades of the East Coast Hockey League actually won that league’s championship title and throughout the season and into the playoffs, I was there in the stands cheering them on. So, not only was I delighted as a Macon-Bibb County Commissioner to approve the initial contract with the Mayhem team, I was absolutely psyched as well that professional hockey was returning to Middle Georgia, and very optimistic about the potential economic impact that it would bring to its home ice community here in Macon-Bibb County. As a result, I was among the first to greet and welcome franchise owners Bob and Diane Kerzner to our city last summer. Prior to acquiring McDonalds franchises in South Carolina, Bob was a hockey player himself who obviously has not left the game or the sport. Mayhem President, Mark Richards, has been involved in professional hockey for over twenty seasons. During his eleven years as a player, he helped lead his team to three championships and was the recipient of several prestigious awards including

HAPPY TRAILS Local group creates Peach State Ale Trail connecting craft beer destinations BY LEE GREENWAY
Ale Trail Founders Left-to-right: Lee Greenway, Chris Tsavatewa, Jonathan Dye, and Josh Epps.
Five years ago - and you can ask people who knew me back then - I was not a beer aficionado. I was not a beer geek. I was not even a beer drinker. If alcohol was to be on the menu, then I wanted a good, dry, red wine or a couple of fingers of bourbon or rye on the rocks. I’d enjoyed a few craftier brews here and there during my college days, and when I was feeling adventurous (or when one of my friends held my whiskey hostage and wouldn’t give it back until I sipped their Norwegian-hops-and-lychee-triple-malt-imperial-logarithm or something like that). But more or less, beer was what I drank when there wasn’t anything else around. And then one fateful afternoon, my father’s number popped up on my cell phone. “I’m over at Goodwill, and they’ve got a couple of big boxes of homebrewing gear for $25. Want me to pick that up for you?” I said, “Sure,” because I’m bizarrely addicted to starting new hobbies, and I picked up three big plastic totes full of beakers and growlers and extracts and some weird pump thingy from my parents’ garage that weekend. I was happy to have it, but I had no idea what that afternoon of my dad poppin’ tags at Goodwill was going to lead to - my own personal craft beer renaissance. Homebrewing begat experimenting, experimenting begat exploring, and exploring led me to my current role as Ink Wrangler (designer) and Word Czar (editor) for the Peach State Ale Trail. The state of Georgia is full of stories like that. Not exactly like that, mind you - I doubt there are too many craft beer fanatics who got their start at a 50% off sale at their local thrift shop - but the road to craft beer geekdom follows as many different paths as there are grains of malt in a mash tun. No matter where I go across the state, every drinker I talk to remembers their first sip of craft beer. And as every tale is told, I see the same expression spread across the teller’s face - a slow smile, a moment of reverie, and the spark of recognition as they realize they’re talking to Someone Who’s Been There, Too. Craft beer (a broad term that covers such diverse decoctions as five-gallons-at-a-time nanobrews and the bordering-on-macrobrewed Samuel Adams’ Boston Lager) is a drink, to be sure, but above and beyond that, it is an experience. It’s something to be enjoyed and shared, discussed and reviewed and dissected and celebrated and it was with that in mind that I found myself sharing an outdoor table at the Rookery last summer with Chris Tsavatewa and Jonathan Dye, talking about Chris’s new idea for a craft-beer portal for the state of Georgia. Since that fortuitous evening on Cherry Street, what started as a few sketches, flow charts, scribbled slogans, and contact information jotted down in a dogeared graph notebook has become an actual thing, a one-stop shop for Georgia’s Craft Beer Experience. With backstories as varied as a Marvel comics pantheon, four Macon locals Craft Beer Evangelist Chris Tsavatewa, Systems Overlord Jonathan Dye, “Scrooge McDuck” Josh Epps, and your 24 FEB 26 - MARCH 11, 2015
correspondent the Word Czar/Ink Wrangler Lee Greenway - joined forces to create this portal - the Peach State Ale Trail - and to help celebrate the renaissance of craft beer here in Georgia.
“There has been tremendous growth over the past year; we have seen the number of craft breweries double,” said Tsavatewa. The growth in Georgia’s craft beer industry isn’t strictly a matter of numbers, either - Georgia’s Monday Night Brewing took a prestigious gold medal for their Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt at the Great American Beer Festival back in September; Creature Comforts and Coastal Empire were also medaled at the event. Georgia’s new love for craft beer is beginning to be noted by fans around the country, as well. Happy Trails to You…
The Curious Case of Craft Beer Part of the allure to working on the Trail is sharing the stories of our fellow imbibers. One Georgia craft-beer drinker - Rodney Mangum, a Marietta resident for 20 years - got his start in craft beer during his time in the UK, quaffing English bitters at pubs around the British Isles, and has a powerful craving for English-style ales. “This is the greatest day in the history of North America,” he told me as we sipped a taste of a right-proper bitter at the Atlanta Cask Beer Tasting in Atlanta last month, adding “the only way it could get any better is if they’d bring in some more British beers.” Another, Caroline Lagoy, moved to the Peach State from our tiny neighbor up north, Rhode Island. She wouldn’t go so far as to say that Burnt Hickory’s beers were the reason for her relocation, but she did think that people ought to “...keep drinking locally. There’s so much awesome stuff out there.” John Freeman, an Atlanta native who was attending his first-ever cask beer tasting, was a man of few words, but the words he did have were of praise for a smoky whiskey-barrel aged brew. “I’m kinda hung up on Jack Daniels.” He pointed to a cask being tended a few feet away. “I liked that one a lot.” A few hours at the cask beer tasting event - an event admittedly geared towards the craft beer ubermensch types - drove home just how popular this thing has gotten here in Georgia. Cask beers are a relative rarity in the US (although they’re still rather common ‘cross the Pond), and your average drinker usually needs a little time to get used to their more complex flavor profiles and less-pronounced effervescence. Despite the relative obscurity of the subject matter, the cask beer tasting brought enough aficionados to Sandy Springs that afternoon to pack both the 5 Seasons Brewery and the adjacent Taco Mac to the rafters, illustrating a wonderful bit of news for fans: craft beer is exploding in the state of Georgia.
With new and respected Georgia breweries popping up at a dizzying pace, Georgia drinkers are facing an ever-growing selection of locally-made beer. At the Peach State Ale Trail, we’re trying to create a statewide community of folks in the craft beer world - drinkers, retailers, distributors, and those magicians of malt, the brewers themselves. “Our vision is to connect the consumer to the breweries and access points across the Peach State,” said Tsavatewa. The Ale Trail takes a few different approaches towards accomplishing that vision. If all you need to get you moving towards a craft beer is a map and a pulse, the Ale Trail’s website features a directory of breweries, beer bars, and growler shops around the state, on the Grab a Craft Beer page - and the site’s calendar is a compendium of upcoming festivals and craft beer events. If you want to drill down and get a little more detail from the world of craft beer, the Georgia Beer Buzz, the Trail’s blog, has news and reviews from around the world of Georgia craft beer. To make passage on the Trail a little easier - whether a drinker is new to the hobby or a seasoned veteran - the Ale Trail also offers a Passport program, an annual membership card that affords its members discounts at craft beer locations all over Georgia, in addition to unique members-only swag and (at some levels) access to special members-only and “Black Koozie” events. My own journey on the Trail started with the aforementioned afternoon meeting in downtown Macon, but the idea had been brewing for some time. “This is not a new concept, most successful craft beer communities, hubs, and cultural centers have some similar experience,” said Tsavatewa, citing examples from beer destinations such as Bend, OR, Asheville, NC, and Susquehanna, PA. “In reviewing all our predecessors across the country we determined there were several identifiable critical factors that were reflective of a successful ‘Ale Trail’ endeavor.” For more details about the Peach State Ale Trail and to get the latest buzz from Georgia’s growing world of craft beer, visit the website (www.peachstatealetrail.com) or follow the Trail on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Untappd at @GAAleTrail.

32 FEB 26 - MARCH 11, 2015
On one fateful day in the mid-60’s a group a long hairs pooled their money together for two plates. Mama Louise felt sorry for them and gave them all a heaping helping. A friendship between her and The Allman Brothers Band was born. A friendship that took her on quite a ride that included a seat on the tour bus in 1972 and lifelong friendships with Gregg and the rest of the band. In 2007, Mama Hill passed on, but Mama Louise kept on keepin’ on. She calls us every other day, saying “y’all ready yet! I’m ready to go back to work.” To which we reply, “We’re almost there Mama.”

THE NEXT TWO WEEKS BRINGS: BRETT ELDEREDGE, THE ORANGE CONSTANT, PSYCHO DEVILLES & TRIATHALON!
FRIDAY, FEB 27 Big Mike and the Booty Papas @ 20’s Pub Big Mike and his Booty Papas are one of the most loved bands in Macon, playing around town and all over the southeast for decades. Rock and Roll, Blues and that good old school country can be found in their set list, all with tons of personality. Chuck Courtenay @ The Crazy Bull Chuck’s vocal prowess and dedication to the old-school values that made country music great the first time around have caught the attention of some of Nashville’s best and brightest. The fact that he’s come this far without the backing of a large record company --or even a manager-speaks volumes for the loyal support he earns from his devoted fans. Those Cats @ The Bird Those Cats are a high energy Soul & Funk powerhouse from Statesboro, GA and have been described as “A band whose fresh, funky and soulful sound provides its listeners with a never-ending well of tastefully grooving tracks.
SATURDAY, FEB 28 Campbell Airlines @ Backporch Lounge Campbell Airlines is a fun and talented cover band based in Middle Georgia. They perform a variety of Rock, Country, Blues and Dance music. Brett Eldredge @ The Crazy Bull Country up-and-comer Brett Eldredge has always been attracted to singers, a fact that should come as no surprise to anyone who’s heard the Illinois native’s soulful, distinctive
baritone. Voted CMA “Country Artist of the Year” Macon is lucky to have this chance to see this rising Nashville star. BRETT ELDREDGE IS SOLDOUT!!!!..However, they will have a wait line outside and The Brickhouse will be open at 10PM for non-ticket holders. Matt Pippin Band @ Twang Matt Pippin has done it all in Country music and Macon’s lucky he’s still around, playing great songs and picking his guitar. He’s played with Jason Aldean, Faith Hill and more. Go see this man!
THURSDAY, MARCH 5 Little Racer @ The Bird Written largely in the spring and summer of 2013 on a four-track recorder in a bedroom before the band went off to work, Modern Accent captures the strum of eggs and orange juice, melodies about nights with heads down on the bar, infused with a dollop of Coppertone, Sunkist and sweat. There’s a blend of influences in this New York sound - the combing through of decades of dusty vinyl guitar-pop has been simmered in the sweltering sun into six cohesive and memorable song Louise Warren @ Main Street Pizza Louise Warren is a force to be reckoned with. A singer, a songwriter, and a heartfelt performer she’s penned songs in the hundreds and performed all over the Southeast including venues such as the 40 Watt Club and Eddie’s Attic. Her song, “Cherish” was featured on Zooey Deschanel’s website, Hello Giggles and “Home” was the focus of a Super Bowl commercial just before the 2013 kick off.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6 Orange Constant @ The Bird The Orange Constant draws from different styles and musical experience to create something new and unique. Being influenced by bands like Phish and Widespread Panic, The Orange Constant focuses their energy on live performances. These performances are always filled with positive energy jams and original songs. Psycho Devilles @ Twang Atlanta’s Hot Rod Walt & the Psycho DeVilles are a super-charged, high-energy rockabilly show singing tunes about hot rod cars, mean women, and having a good ol’ time.
TUESDAY, MARCH 10 Triathalon w/Dalmatian @ The Bird (A Benefit for Sean Pritchard) Triathalon carries the basis of Motown surf sounds with a twist of experimental sketchyness. Come out and enjoy Happy Hour Specials all day! Mel Washington, Former member of All Get Out and close friend of Sean. Mel has had his fair share of great shows in Macon, but none will be as sentimental and meaningful as this one. Dalmatian, previously known as WoolFolk, is a quartet that rocks/grooves by combining psychedelic folk funk freak-outs. that rock hard. Their designer brand of “Southern G-Folk” mimics the fertile Middle Georgia terrain for which they call home.
