Hey Guys! I am Megan Hughes, your 2018-2019 lieutenant governor. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with all of you this year and hope that we have a great year together. Just what is a lieutenant governor? A lieutenant governor is responsible for the growth and support of clubs within his or her division and serving as a liaison between the district and the club. Duties include the publication of a monthly newsletter, club officer training and support, holding divisional meetings, and serving on one or more district committees. I am the liaison between the Texas-Oklahoma District and your individual club. I will be sending Key Club updates and information from the District and International to help keep you informed. I can also help you with the problems in your club and represent you in the District board, so if you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me. All of the contact information will be at the end of this newsletter. A few things about me: ● ● ● ● ●

I am going to be a senior at Stilwell High School. I want to double major in forensic science and biochemistry. I run cross country and track. I am a Beta Club member. If you text me and don’t get a quick response I’m probably sleeping.

District Governor Hey there T-O! I’m so excited to be your District Governor for the 20182019 term! I know that we’re going to do amazing things within our district, and it will all be from your hard work and leadership! If you didn’t go to District Convention, you probably don’t know who I am, so allow me to introduce myself. I am Addi Duerksen, and I’m 17, a junior at Weatherford High School in the GREAT state of Oklahoma. I love music and the arts, but on the complete opposite side of the spectrum, I also love math and chemistry. My favorite colors are yellow and pink, and my favorite food is grilled cheese. Back on a more serious note, I have high expectations and even higher hopes for you all over this next year. Through my Triple A Plan – activate the board, advise the members, attract new clubs – I know that we can easily achieve these expectations. Get involved, and as this school year comes to a close, don’t lose momentum over the summer! Continue to serve, communicate, and enjoy Key Club! T-Ogether in Service, Addi Duerksen, District Governor 4

District Treasurer Hello everyone, my name is Addie Flores and I am so honored to be your District Treasurer! This year will undoubtedly be great and I am looking forward to helping your club succeed in any way possible. I am from Harlingen, Texas and along with Key Club I play varsity tennis and am a member of National Honors Society. This year I want to bring emphasis to the Halo movement and increasing on time dues with more advertising on social media and stronger connection between to Texas-Oklahoma district board and home clubs. I am extremely avid for communication so if you have a question, don’t be shy! If your lovely lieutenant governor doesn’t have an answer, I would love to help your club; I can email or we can schedule a call or skype! This organization means so much to me and I want everyone to succeed this year. Thank you once again, and I know we will have a great year together! Helping things make cents, Addie Flores
