THE ASK Provide a way to raise awareness about mental health in a way that creates a conversation about a previously taboo topic.


THE INSIGHT Although 46% of students deal with some level of mental health problems, the issue is not usually approached due to the stigma and “downer� tone surrounding it. Most people think they are alone on the issue.


THE BIG IDEA What if...we created a space for students to anonymously share their personal experiences and then allowed art students to interpret them?

“I sat on the floor of my dorm room for two days trying to brainstorm ways of killing myself in which no one would have to find me. I just couldn't put that weight on another person, much less someone that I love. I wish that I had some way to express to the people that love me how they saved my life. They save me every day.�

Stories are also shared on FACEBOOK to bring attention to students.




ART OF MENTAL HEALTH EXHIBIT Artists interpret the stories & contribute to an art exhibit.


HUNDRED VOICES OF HOPE Students record Instagram videos to show their support of mental health discourse.
