TESTIMONIES OF JESUS PART IV

The Testimonies of Jesus Part IV

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God Pure: Free from contamination, free from sin or unrighteousness.

The heart is the center or core of a person. From the heart come the issues of life. It pumps blood, which is life throughout the entire body. The blood feeds and nourishes each and every cell. This is true whether we are talking physically or spiritually. The heart is the seat of the Holy Ghost. The law of God is written in the heart. Therefore it can be said that the heart is the most holy place of a

person. Our body is called a temple. In that temple the heart is the holiest of holies. If the heart is pure, then goodness and righteous is sent throughout the body. The actions of a person, whether sin or righteousness is a reflection of what is in their heart. The heart is made pure by the law of God. The word of God like pure water washes away all sin. It is through belief and sincere faith in God, obedience and sacrifice that

our

hearts

are

made pure. When we are one with God then we have within us the blood of Christ. It is the blood of the New Testament that purges us from our sin. A person with a pure heart is obedient to God. Proverbs 20:9, “Who can say I have made my heart clean, I am free from sin? A pure heart leads you to perfection. A pure heart is not mixed with contaminates. Some people are double

minded. A double minded person is not steadfast and wavers back and forth from the truth depending on what is happening in their lives. If the winds of trouble blow they can be pushed into sin. Often time people have idols in their heart. If the heart is the holy place, then idols in the heart is truly an abomination. There are things that people hold so dear that they will not sacrifice them or cut them off in order to live a perfect life. Anything or any person that is held that close and dear to the heart is an idol. Idols can also be desires, pleasures, work, family, spouses and friends. An idol can be a house, it can be an ideal or it can be a tradition. Almost anything can be an idol. “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Peace: Tranquil, quiet, and secure; Harmony in relations and free of conflict. A peacemaker is one who reconciles, and is peaceable, not quarrelsome, and free from strife or disorder.

Christ is the Prince of Peace. To walk in his ways are the way of peace. When you walk with Christ and are obedient to him and the laws of God then you are at one with him and with the Father. You are at peace with him. It is Christ that is our reconciliation that brings us into oneness with the

Father.

Sin

is

the

separator. Sin is the great act of conflict that caused a wide breach between the children of this earth and our Father in heaven. Christ is the open door. Within his word are all

that is good, and all that is peaceable. He taught us how to walk within the law, and in

the gospel. If we walk as he walked then we will be at peace as much as possible in the world. Hebrews 12:14, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man

shall see the Lord.” And also Paul says in Romans 12:17-18, “Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.” If our brothers walk as he walked, and we walk as he walked, then we will be on one accord, in perfect peace and harmony. Philippians 2:2-3, “Fulfill ye my joy, that ye be like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.” We can never be at perfect peace with the world because the world is full of sin. Satan will never stop trying to hurt us. He causes offenses. He sends the wicked to make our lives difficult, to create pain and distress. But within Christ is all that is good. He is our peace. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”
