When Christ was born it was a very special occasion. Two adults had become parents for the first time and the parents knew that their child would be someone very special! The baby’s mommy and daddy loved him very much! When Jesus was born he was laid in a manger inside of a barn and wisemen brought him gifts days later. His gifts were gold, frankincense, and myrrh (a lot of people believe since there were three gifts then there must have been three wise men also. Unfortunately, the bible never tells how many wise men there were).

Pretty Decorations •

• • •

The Christmas tree could be such a pretty sight. It is decorated in colors of silver, gold, red, and green lights. It has pretty ornaments and lots of glittery garland. Most of all, it has that big shiny star centered right at the top of the tree. In Jeremiah 10:2-5 it tells us that the heathens and their traditions place Christmas trees in their homes. The Christmas tree was not always a very likeable object for children. Some parents did very cruel things to their children near the tree.

Jesus and Christmas • But, if it is Jesus birthday, why would Santa Clause leave presents for you? What if you went to a birthday party that was prepared for you and everybody gave gifts to each other and you were left out? Wouldn’t you feel disappointed and left out?
