THAI YOGA BODYWORK
Enjoy the benefits of relaxation, massage, yoga, and energy work in this truly unique experience to connect the body and mind through the breath. You will fully relax and let go of physical and emotional stress while your body is guided into gentle stretching followed by massage along the meridian lines in the body. You will leave feeling relaxed, restored, and rejuvenated.
The Thai Bodywork Practitioner presses and kneads the muscles with their hands, feet, and forearms, synchronized with the breath, and fluently moves and twists your body into various stretches and yoga postures. The bodywork sessions are given on a memory foam mat in four positions: lying supine, side-lying, lying prone, and seated.
The recipient should wear loose, comfortable clothing that they can stretch in. While relaxing, the client may become cooler; wearing long sleeves, socks, and an optional blanket is recommended to stay comfortable.
This technique differs from a traditional massage but has many benefits to help heal your body:
⊲ Pain & Muscle Tension Relief
⊲ Increased Flexibility
⊲ Improved Range of Motion
⊲ Deep Relaxation & Stress Relief
⊲ Increased Energy Levels
⊲ Improved Circulation & Lymphatic Flow
SESSION FEES
30 Minutes - $60
60 Minutes - $95
90 Minutes - $120

ADD REFORMER PILATES TO YOUR ROUTINE
By Meredith Lull, Reformer Pilates Instructor
Looking to improve your swing this spring? Incorporating Reformer Pilates into a training regimen can help golfers and tennis players improve core strength, flexibility, balance, posture, and overall body conditioning—ultimately contributing to enhanced performance and reduced risk of injury in their respective sports. The resistance provided by Pilates reformer machines, typically through the use of springs, helps to tone and strengthen muscles by creating constant tension throughout the range of motion during exercises. This resistance challenges the muscles, leading to increased muscle engagement, improved muscular endurance, and ultimately, toning and strengthening of the targeted muscle groups. Additionally, the adjustable resistance allows for progressive overload, enabling individuals to continually challenge and strengthen their muscles as they progress in their training.
Contact Meredith at mlull@bcc1898.com to find out more and begin your Pilates journey.

THE CADDIE CORNER
As we approach the 2024 Golf Season, I want to thank the Club for allowing me to dedicate my efforts to our Caddie and Evans Scholars programs. I'm also eager to explore the possibility of initiating youth caddie programs with neighboring clubs and courses, and collaborating with the team at First Tee of Greater Baltimore.
Each month, we are dedicating a portion of Lifestyle Magazine to keep you informed about the BCC Caddie Program. We are pleased to welcome back Caddie Manager Brett Keller for his fourth season. Our Caddie Committee has been very active since the beginning of January, planning for the upcoming season. I would like to thank them, as well as all those who have served on the Caddie Committee over the past 17 years and all the members who have supported the program, whether by taking caddies or donating to the Evans Scholars Foundation.

Ages 3-5
$30 per Session
Finally, I am pleased to announce that one of our BCC caddies, Shawntae Wilson, who interviewed for the Evans Scholarship on February 7 at Wilmington Country Club, has received the honor of being BCC’s newest Evans Scholar. Shawntae was among 11 caddies considered during this selection meeting. There were 28 selection meetings throughout the country, with 340 caddies chosen from over 920 applicants. In total, there will be over 1,100 caddies/Evan
Scholars attending college this coming fall. Shawntae has become the sixth Evans Scholar from Baltimore Country Club to be awarded the Evans Scholarship—a lifechanging opportunity!
Take a Caddie, Change a Life.

GREENKEEPER’S UPDATE
The East Course is scheduled to open for the season on Friday, March 22.
When the course opens, you will see a few aeration holes, along with lines from the Graden linear aeration work completed this past fall and winter.
While we have experienced our first measurable snow fall in over two years (nine-plus inches), temperatures have been cold enough that the turf has been dormant.
Aeration performed in the fall and winter months will not recover until temperatures are consistently in the 60-75 degree range. As we prepare for the upcoming season, the West Course will close March 25 through March 27 for green aeration and topdressing, along with fairway vertical mowing. Recovery will take approximately three weeks (weather dependent) since this work is being completed when soil and surface temperatures will still be cold for optimum growth and recovery. Green aeration and topdressing on the East Course will occur April 30 through May 2, with solid tine aeration to be completed on the fairway surfaces.
This season promises to be another busy year at Five Farms, and we look forward to seeing you this spring!
Tim Kennelly, CGCS Head Greenkeeper

Last summer, Trey returned to Timonium to be closer to family and knew he wanted to be a part of the BCC Team, so he took a seasonal position on the East Course. He was recently married, so he was excited when this prestigious position opened up at Roland Park, giving him a chance to put down roots with his growing family here in Baltimore. Trey started at Roland Park in the beginning of February, so he would have some time to shadow Laura Michel before her retirement. He looks forward to expanding his knowledge of fine gardening and applying his turf management experience as he takes over the reins as a steward of this beautiful and historic property.
