GREENFOLDER STORIES

What sets Baltimore Country Club apart from other country clubs? Our people! Our staff members take every step to go above and beyond to accomplish our Simple Truth: Great People Make Favorite Places. Often, there are easy ways to make a positive impression on our members from saying happy birthday to congratulations on an award. However, not being afraid to make the big gestures is what distinguishes us.

We love sharing these stories of the Simple Truth! Submit your Simple Truth experience by filling out the Green Folder Stories form, located at the bottom of the Park & Farms email, in Park & Farms, the staff webpage, or scan the QR codes in the staff breakrooms. BCC encourages all members to submit their own or fellow staff members’ Green Folder Stories.

Staff Member of the Month

NOVEMBER 2024

Over the past three years at BCC, Mike has become an incredible trainer, teammate, and vital part of our team. Mike’s commitment to his work and dedication to growth have made him a standout member of our staff. Recently, Mike stepped up to help facilitate training for Jenna’s clients while she was on maternity leave, balancing his full schedule and studies. His dedication has earned him glowing feedback from members of all ages. Mike also demonstrates strong leadership by proactively taking on responsibilities for events and new member onboarding. Whether at Five Farms or Roland Park, Mike brings positive energy and enthusiasm daily, embodying our Simple Truth “Great People Makes Favorite Places.” We are proud to celebrate Mike’s growth and this welldeserved recognition!

Simple Truth Award

During the Gentlemen’s Member-Member Invitational, Chef Mike created a special trail mix as a cart snack for the first day of the tournament. While Caroline was checking the course stations, a member stopped her to compliment the trail mix, saying it was delicious and asking if BCC sells it. Caroline informed the member that it was made specifically for the tournament, but the member enthusiastically recommended that we sell it because they couldn’t get enough! After hearing this, Chef Mike and Caroline decided to prepare care packages with bags of the trail mix. When our Member Relations Associate Denise found out the member was coming in for golf the following Sunday, Caroline arranged a special surprise by leaving a gift bag full of trail mix with the golf shop to present to the member when they arrived for their tee time. The member was thrilled and deeply appreciated the thoughtful gesture!

Kudos Korner is composed of different compliments or ‘kudos’ heard around the halls and sent to Staff Engagement Coordinator Madison Elena melena@bcc1898.com. This is to make sure that even if you haven’t heard it from a coworker directly, they are thinking of you! There’s a lot of gratitude to be spread. Thank you for all that you do!

Carrying Culinary on his back, he is a strong leader that sets an example for his people. I can’t imagine all that he juggles while holding himself to such a high standard. I’m lucky to have someone like him to learn from.
